First off I'm a total fan of Ecco and and even more so of their Biom line. They are super comfortable and need no real break in period. I'm writing this review because the description is misleading. A Gore Tex lining is listed. NOWHERE did I see the GoreTex trademark and the shoe is very porous. Just to make sure, I dropped small amounts of water on the top and sure enough it soaked right through. These are not rain proof shoes. I'm not sending mine back because the tread is perfect for trail or irregular surfaces. It's also a Biom at a really good price. What's great about all Eccos is that once you know your size, you can buy any of their shoes and be assured the fit will be the same. This is my 5th pair of Bioms of which only one pair is really shot after a year and a half of almost daily hard wear.

Still breaking in my Ecco Biom Quest Trail Shoes, which I never had to break in a pair of Ecco shoes, but this is my first Ecco running shoes. I really like Ecco shoes, so we'll see how these hold up.

And I have wide feet, so initially the shoes felt cramped and uncomfortable. They have eased over the week, and though the fit is still tight the shoes have very good support and grip.

Comfortable and stable. I have a very flat left foot, which often leads to support issues. I can be on my feet most of the day in these without my foot giving out. Highly recommended.
