1) Cover plate for SPD screw holes is held on with screws and can be reattached. Some other shoes make you cut out a portion of the sole to access the screw holes.
2) There's a little elastic pocket at the top of the tongue to tuck in the tied laces.
3) Reflective accents.
What could be better:
1) The fit. I wear a US men's 10 all the time. I have other bike shoes that are EU 44. These run a little small. If you have wide feet or intend to wear heavy socks get a size larger. You may want to go a size larger anyway.

I love clipless but not walking in clipless. And most clipless you can walk in look dorky. These look amazing. A great feature that adds to their cool look is the red tongue pocket you stuff the laces in when they're tied.Best Deals on Pearl iZUMi Men's X-Alp Seek III WRX Cycling Shoe
I actually really like these, but being new to the locked in experience I have wiped out a few times because I couldn't get a foot free in time. That could be fatal. Other wise being locked in gives you so much more pedaling power it's fun as hell.Honest reviews on Pearl iZUMi Men's X-Alp Seek III WRX Cycling Shoe
A great shoe in styling, riding, and comfort! Hard to beat and this is why I sought these out. There's just one thing. The SPDs plates protrude ever so slightly from the recessed cavities under the shoe, such that if you walk on a wooden floor in them, the tip of the SPD will leave a small indentation in the wood! I offer this complaint because I believe it is quite possible to construct this shoe with the SPD recessed a little more, so that this does not happen. After all, the purpose of this shoe (as I understand it) is to double as a riding and walking/hiking shoe. I've even considered filing down my SPDs to see if I can avoid leaving marks on the hardwood floors at work, because the protrusion is so slight. But again, I shouldn't have to.
Aside from that, these are the perfect SPD riding/hiking shoes.

This is the first time I use clipless pedals, son I went for these pair of shoes.I like that they a rigid enough, so you don't loose energy while ridding.
They are really comfortable shoes, not to a long walk, but for MTB ridding I am liking it a lot!
I like to the little pocket on the top of the tongue, you can put the laces on it, nice touch of design, but I am worried about how long is going to last.
And the reflective lines and parts, nice.
Same as a lot of users that reviewed Pearl iZumi shoes... order it bigger, one American size bigger, or two European sizes bigger.
