Everyone's feet are different so fit is a tricky thing to get right. For what it's worth, these shoes are very, very comfortable for light running (on and off road), long walks, or just everyday use. I've tried North Face, Salomons, New Balance, and other brands to find the right fit for my mild overpronation. These are the ones. They tend to run a bit small so a half-size larger might do the trick. They feel so good on pavement and dirt, I've been inspired to start running again...that is until my lungs seize up.Best Deals on Brooks Men's Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoes
I enjoyed running in the Cascadia 7 and I think that they dialed in the fit a bit more with this version. I really can't think of anything about this shoe I would change outside of making the forefoot just a tad wider, but it never bothered me during runs. If you regularly run in Cascadias you're in the clear, as Brooks didn't depart from the tried-and-true formula here.Honest reviews on Brooks Men's Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoes

I just bought a pair of these yesterday, not from Amazon, but a local retailer. I find it best to get fitted for a pair of trail shoes, as you can select the amount of support that you are looking for that way. I tried on multiple pairs of shoes, but these were the most comfortable, and I was assured by the retailer that I could run on the best of trails here in Utah, but also would last on the road. He said I should get around 350 miles out of these shoes, and that if I had any issues with them to bring them back in, and I could get a different pair even after running in them for a month. So yesterday I took them out of the box, laced them up, and proceeded to run 7 miles on the trails here in Utah (3.5 up and down). The uphill was very nice, I noticed an immediate change from my non-trail shoes (zigtech)the rocks felt almost non existent in these but was still enough to feel what I was on. On the way down I discovered that my zigtechs were much to small, I ended up with a whole size bigger on the cascadias due to my down hill running. The traction was great, no slips and slides coming down and I could maneuver over rocks and roots with ease. With the bigger size my toes and feet did not even hurt when I got to the bottom.
Only reason these get 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the durability. I am not sure how they will hold up, but if they wear out too quick I can always take them back to Wasatch Running Center. Happy trail running, and keep your eyes on your goal!
