The special insoles that come with it are great. They are light enough for you to literally run on the trail, the grip is so great that I actually wore mine on black ice days. I know they're expensive, but they're worth the price.

This is my second pair of Merrells. Still have the first, but after many years of abuse, thought it was time for a new pair. Very durable and comfortable. You can really work, hike, whatever in these shoes. They also look great!
