they are not as heavy duty as i expected. the quality of the support around the heal and the foot itself. in other words the shoe does not have the support to keep your foot as stable. it allows your foot to move inside the shoe to much. these were recommended by a man here who used to have a shoe store. he said the 5 & 6 were very good. he also said the same thing about this shoe.

Using it for martial arts. Other shoes haven't been holding up to the vigorous training on cement floors; kicking tires, "shocking" the horse. My first pair after seeing that my son's pair lasted about 9 months. Other shoes lucky to have lasted even 6 months. So far the 2 peeves are that they are not as breathable and a bit heavy on the feet.

I've been using my Barricade 7.0 for the past two weeks and feel amazing. I also have a pair of Barricade 6 and these are more comfortable.

Shoes are very heavy and stiff.

It will take several heavy use periods to "break them in" properly.

Well designed with added protection in spots where scuffing and wear could cause future problems.
