I'm a grocer. I work on my feet about 30-40 hours a week, and these are my absolute favorite shoes! They fit perfectly, give a ton of support, and look great. I get compliments on them all the time. I'd wear them all the time if I could find more of them.

I wish I could find someplace that's selling them. No one seems to have them now. I've been trying for two months to buy two or three more pair, but everyone is out of them.

At this point I'd take them in nearly any color.

New Balance Men's MR7500 NB Pulse Running Shoe Review

I bought these shoes for running on a pavement track near my house.

I originally bought "trail running" shoes (which are made for running on grass or dirt roads) without knowing what I was doing. Naturally they were more stiff for running on grass. Since I was running on pavement I developed minor shin splints since I didnt do any research on what shoes to buy. (new to running)

Fast forward 2 months later, I have my running gait analyzed, and learn a thing or two about buying the proper running shoes.

Which led me to these... and I have not had shin pains ever since. Buying the proper shoe is of paramount importance when taking up jogging/running. (so is easing into it, stretch a lot, dont run too far to start.)

Anyways; NewBalance makes 3 basic shoe types. "Cushioned" "Stability" and "Motion Control" shoes.

If you are an under-pronator or over-pronator, google what types of shoes to buy. NB stability and motion control shoes can provide support where you need it.

I am a mild under pronator. Which means when my heel strikes the ground it tends to strike on the outter heel, and I role my foot inward. This is not a big deal, but puts extra stress on my shin muscles as I strike mt heel and push off my toes. Again no big deal, untill the stress of my feet and shins striking hard surfaces eventually gave me shin splints and was further exacerbated by my runnig gait.

Even if I had a neutral running gait, running on hard surfaces as a new runner would have given me shin splints anyways. However these shoes handle the shock very well, and within a week of using them all pain in my shins has dissapeared.

These shoes are pretty light, and have a thick cushioned heel. The mesh on top provides nice air-flow over your toes.

I only bought them on-line since I already knew my shoes size with NewBalance.

All in all they're great shoes, and should last me 300-400 miles easily. My shins are verry happy I bought them. 5 stars for sure.

I have 3 other pair of New Balance shoes, all size 11, that fit perfectly. I ordered this shoe in size 11 and they are very tight, so I had to remove the insole just so I can wear the shoe comfortably. Hopefully they will loosen up and I can break them in as I wear them, but my other shoes were never this snug.

I don't care what color it is or what it looks like. I found these shoes at JC Penney for $75 (on sale for $70) and I'm very satisfied. I wish one could get this kind of shoe for under $60, but it appears those days are gone.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. So far, they have survived the trails of the Richmond, VA area. I do recommend you get a 1/2 bigger size though.

The boot is on the narrow side overall; you will need a half size up from you're normal size most definitely. It's a mid ankle boot and there is rubbing above the ankle. On the upside, the boot is sturdily made and the arch support is pretty nice. The quality and make up is definitely there, but I feel the overall comfort of the boot is just average. I think there will need to be a lot of breaking in time for the boot to form up for more flexibility and comfort.

I'm using these shoes for ZUMBA (I'm an instructor and teach 3-4 times a week). I was pretty much in love right away, but disappointed that a rubber piece came loose on the bottom after only like 3 hours of use. I decided to glue it rather than return them. I thought it was surprising for such an expensive shoe, but ever since I fixed it I haven't had any problem. I'm able to twist and turn like I need to for ZUMBA but it also give my feet and my knees a nice cushion. I would recommend them, but I wouldn't spend more than I paid (about 60) since I know it varies here on amazon.

My friends and I were playing baseball and we accidentally hit a Babe Ruth signed baseball into someones yard, which was occupied by a massive dog that ate objects and children. These shoes gave me that extra burst of speed needed to retrieve the ball and escape the yard before the beast could catch me. He jumped the fence though and chased me around the neighborhood, through a movie screen and under a giant cake. I can honestly say without these shoes, I never would have had the opportunity to play for the Dodgers. I highly recommend these shoes!

I've been a fan of Converse Chuck Taylor "Chucks" for years and always have several pairs on the go but these PF Flyers, I tell you, are even better and I am definitely a new fan now. Just like the Chucks, they are the 'old school' high-top style with the canvas uppers, rubber toe cap, rubber bumpers and rubber sole. I bought the navy ones but will also get some in the other colours, too. They are incredibly comfortable to wear because of the built-in arch supports inside the sole which distribute your weight more evenly than a regular pair of sneakers. I wear these everywhere except the office and get compliments all the time. The canvas and the rubber have a bit of a strong smell which offends some but, personally, I kind of like it. Reminds me they are on my feet! These sneakers are definitely NOT to be missed! And, more over, you can't do any better at this price.

I find Chucks too narrow and uncomfortable. These have a bit more width across the area of the ball of the foot, and that makes a tremendous difference in fit and comfort.

Plus the insoles really do add extra padding and support, and they do shift your weight to the outside of the foot, making them comfortable to wear for much longer.

And of course it's great to have on a pair of P. F. Flyers again!

The other reviewers are correct the PF Flyers are basically very similar to high top Converse sneakers except better. More comfortable (but not quite as comfortable as your Brooks marathon trainers they can't perform miracles) largely because of the snazzy insole inserts and overall better shape of the shoe. Converse high tops used to make my outer feet hurt but these PFs are comfortable; were so from first wear. Colours and designs are more retro hip than Converse. I got a pair in navy and another in the cool brown/yellow stripe combo. They are 1950s small town old school style rather than contemporary 'urban' hip, they go well with jeans, vintage shirts etc i.e. indie/rockabilly/swingster vibe. Front of shoe has a vertical ribbed bumper bar on them that is the biggest difference to Converse high tops some might not like it as much but I actually prefer it to the Converse shoe... adds to the old school feel. Sizing: I went 0.5 sizes up from my normal size and they fit well. Probably I would have been fine in the regular size but the 0.5 extra size gave a little more room in the toes (the front toe area of these shoes is somewhat narrow/tight).

Without a doubt the greatest, most durable, lightweight, comfortable running shoe I have ever laced up. As a Marine, I run A LOT, and these shoes are so awesome I have 3 pairs of the version 2 and now these to add to my collection. My only advice to anyone looking in to purchasing these (if you have a pair of Version 2) order a half size bigger. The toe box on the V3 is slightly more narrow so they fit a little tighter. another home run for vff!

i searched and searched for these all over the net because i wanted vffs that were subdued and mellow enough to wear with business casual attire for office days and i got lucky that amazon had my size at a discount ;)

the soles are very soft and flexible, about the same as the sprint, and have the traditional toe pad, ball of foot, and heel design which i could feel while wearing but i got over it pretty darned quick (i had been wearing my frescas for a week and they do not have the pads)

the jaya has a very soft leather design element stitched to the tops, very attractive and classy but also very practical, reinforcing the toes so they wont wear through. the design does wrap around the ball joint so you can feel it rub just a tiny bit but again, its pretty easy to get used to and its so soft it does not cause any discomfort

the jaya seems to run just a tad larger in the heel pocket, but not enough to change sizes. because i will not be running in this particular design, i do not mind the little bit of slippage at all and its actually very comfortable barely touching on the tendons.

would i buy them again?

i have a pair in black on the way!

I am a huge fan of Vibram shoes. Toe shoes are not for everyone, but I have been wearing them for 3 years! I have the natural and cream, the blue/green, grey and black (2!), and a pair of black and grey. They Jayas LR are my favorite. They are comfy, very durable, wash in machine and dry out of the sun. I run in these on SOFT TRAILS AND SOFT OR WOODEN TRACKS. But I do know people who street run in them. It does take a bit of getting used to putting them on, but if you follow the instructions on the box, you will eventually be able to just slip your toes into the "fingers" of the shoes. Small nubs of Vibram rubber help stabilze and make the shoe more comfy. They leather "stripes" are cool just rub a little leather cream or even petroleum jelly on them before you wash. If you forget to do that, no problem, just a personal habit! Enjoy these, give them a chance. I wore them daily on a long cross-country drive, feeling like I had better control of the pedals. Thanks Amazon for having these wonderful shoes available. They come in an environmentally friendly box with exact instructions. If you measure your foot according to the instructions on the Vibram site and on uTube, you should be fine. I wear a 5 so these in a 36 are okay. They do not come in a 35 in this country. luv 'em!
