I wear these on roads and trail and like the fit and sturdiness. I do at least 3 miles a day and they last about 11 months.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. So far, they have survived the trails of the Richmond, VA area. I do recommend you get a 1/2 bigger size though.

The boot is on the narrow side overall; you will need a half size up from you're normal size most definitely. It's a mid ankle boot and there is rubbing above the ankle. On the upside, the boot is sturdily made and the arch support is pretty nice. The quality and make up is definitely there, but I feel the overall comfort of the boot is just average. I think there will need to be a lot of breaking in time for the boot to form up for more flexibility and comfort.

My last pair of North Face shoes (wore them nearly every day yard work, in the workshop, around the house, hiking, etc last 5 years. This pair... the front where the sole comes up on the toe is separating already. They should NOT fall apart after a week.

Well made, lightweight and very comfortable! One of my favorite pair of shoes! Lots of padding and has good traction. I was so impressed, I bought a second pair!
