I wish I could review the shoes, I was very excited to get them, but... they NEVER came. I ordered the shoes over a month and a half ago and never got them or any word from the seller about a possible delay in shipping. Now, I will say that I am currently deployed overseas on a ship, HOWEVER, the longest an item usually takes to get here is three weeks, max. I have ordered plenty of things a week or so after I ordered these shoes,and everything else has already arrived... yet I'm still waiting on the shoes. In the process of getting my money back now, don't waste your time with this seller.

Buy Saucony Men's Progrid Ride 5 Running Shoe

I ran my first marathon in a pair of these and now I'm on my second pair. I've drifted around trying all sorts of running shoes and these are my favorites so far. The Ride 5 weighs less than the Ride 4 (mostly taken off of the heal) which is awesome (because I have a mid-foot strike so the heel padding would be no benefit to me anyways)! As I run I've noticed they are lighter. The laces are great and I've never had a problem with them coming undone even with sloppy knot tying.

Switched to these Saucony shoes from my Addidas that had a much higher heel-to-toe differential. I went from 12mm to 8mm. It actually helped my plantar condition in the left foot. I will be purchasing another pair before this year's style is dicontinued! (They seem to change them every year as soon as I find one I like)

As far as colour I have 2 pairs of the blue/black/orange but there are other colours if you prefer. Although, the darker colour doesn't show the dirt as much. I found that I needed the new pair after about 3 months of running 15-25 miles per week because the cushioning was breaking down and I had worn a significant amount of tread off them.

Running shoes are obviously a personal purchase because everyone has different running styles and foot types but these shoes have worked out well for me. I would say I have average feet (don't over or under pronate much) and I can tell when I need to get new shoes because my knees will start to get a little sore. I run 40-50 miles a week including at least one long run of 9-11 miles. I also think they are a good value for the price.

After purchasing the Saucony Ride 4 to try to save some bucks on the higher priced Ride 5, I was disappointed by the heavier, "chunkier" 12mm heel on the Ride 4 which Saucony remedied with the lighter, faster, more responsive Ride 5. Saucony makes a really comfortable running shoe for both training and racing; for purely training, the cheaper, older Ride 4 version may suit your needs just fine for a bargain price of around $60-$75, but I highly recommend the Ride 5 over the 4 because of its lighter, more responsive 8mm heel which will make a difference on those shorter, faster runs (5k & 10k runs.) Spend the extra $25 or so and pick up a pair of these, you won't be disappointed!

After wearing this line for a number of years I purchased my first pairs of this updated shoe. I must say that they have ruined a great line of trainers by succumbing to the minimalist craze that has been sweeping the running scene. They did not change the overall feel of the shoe. The toebox is still nice and snug and I really did not notice the lowering of the heal. What I did notice was they have removed too much of the heal cushioning and it now feels like running on concrete.

They have lost me as a customer with this "update" to the line.

I want to like these shoes. Light, look good, decent support, feel great overall.

After 20 light miles they are showing significant wear. There's numerous reviews online of the bottom sole wearing all the way through in under 50 miles. Save yourself the time and money and skip these ones. There's no way these are going to make 150 miles. My last pair of trail shoes made it more than 700. I was hoping for 300 in these.

I was totally psyched about this shoe. they look awesome, they feel better than any shoe I've ever had and they are lighter than a feather. I totally started running more because of how cool they are (yes I know how very 6th grade of me). But unfortunately only about 4 months later (after spending $100 on them) they are worn down enough that I cant really use them anymore. I'm trying to decide if I want to spend that much money on shoes that won't really last that long and I don't think I do.

I have had a very tough time buying shoes that allow me to have a comfortable run. Depending on the company (only 2 come to mind) I can get away with a normal width, but for the most part I usually have to ride in the 2E or even 4E realm of shoe buying, which, if you have duck feet like I do, you know how much of a pain it is to just walk into a store and find a good fit, and even if they are a good fit, usually the shoes are as heavy as bricks.

I own a few North Face products, and after being frustrated at all of the different shoes I tried on in the store, I stumbled into these (I wasn't aware that The North Face even made running shoes), and I have to say, these are without a doubt my favorite pair of running shoes.

I tend to land on the middle of my foot, but I will occasionally heal strike (I've ran for years heal striking. It's not the devil's form of running.)I'm not a marathon runner or anything eith phenomenal technique...probably 20 to 25 miles a weekI run for enjoyment and cardio. They are a very light shoe with the perfect amount of support without giving up the feel of the terrain under your feet.

If you have wide feet, these shoes will feel amazing to you. However, if you have narrow feet, I'd definitely try some on first I love this shoe because they are wide at a "normal" width.

I cannot recommend highly enough!

Read a bunch of reviews complaining about the grip wear; I took a 3 hour hike and there is significant wear on the sole. Very disappointing. Even worse, the rocks were wet and I was slipping repeatedly while my friends had no problems. I've never experienced this kind of slippage with my North Face hikers or my Merrell's.

The shoes are really comfortable, I'd say they're good for wearing around town but real world use on the trails will shorten their lifespan significantly.

They only come with four colors, but we made some extra colors from card stock and had them laminated at Staples for pretty cheap. Now she can match all of her favorite work-out outfits. I'm a bartender/manager so i'm on my feet most of the day. These shoes have great traction behind the bar. They are very comfortable with great arch support. I hope these shoes never get discontinued, I plan on wearing these shoes for a long as I can (and continue buying them).

I'm on my third pair of Portsmouths. I find them to be the most comfortable shoe I've ever put on my feet. The only thing keeping them from being perfect is that on all three pairs, the glue where the leather meets the toe-box has deteriorated rather quickly. It starts out as a white residue along the edge of the toe-box on the sides of the shoe and eventually you start seeing a gap there. Luckily for me, I live in a dry climate so water getting into this gap isn't so much of a problem but I can only imagine someone living in a wetter area would soon find their toes wet.

The rubber sole started to come apart on this pair of shoes after I had worn them for about six months. I went on the Keen website and submitted a claim (which was easy to do) and got a $100 company credit. I have never had a single problem with any other pair that I own. I own six pairs of Keen shoes and will replace with more Keen shoes. They make a great product that is backed up up by great customer service. Why should I buy another brand.

I have found that the size is consistant across the different styles (lace up/slip on/sandals) but they will stretch out a bit with wear. Love Keen shoes!

I've had my Portsmouth for a little over a year now. When I bought them I was trying to get something better, higher quality, and more 'grown up' than the mass-market skate shoes I had worn the past. The style was a little 'crunchy' for my taste at first, but they grew on me. At first, I was quite happy. My feet seemed to stay much drier and warmer than in my old shoes. However, after about a month or so, the laces disintegrated. Not a big deal, they're not super important for this style of shoe. You can call them, and they'll "try and help" get you a new pair, but I just bought some hiking boot laces from a local department store. They've been just fine since.

Now after a year I look at the shoes. I notice that the leather on one of them is starting to come apart at the 'toe crease'. Examining the sole I notice that it's starting to wear through in spots. I expected these shoes to last longer, especially given some reviews that mention them lasting 3-5 years. It could be I got a bad pair, it could be that they're cutting corners, or they just aren't 'what they used to be'. Are they worse than any other shoes I've had? No. In some ways they're better. They're just not the high-quality, long-lasting shoe that many other reviews said they were.

**Update Jun 2013**

I noticed today that the toecaps are starting to come unglued. Like I said before, they've been decent shoes, I've really liked them. I just don't expect them to last that much longer. I'm already shopping for new shoes. I'd also note: I'm pretty sedentary, sit at a desk all day, don't walk around a whole lot.

Best New Balance Men's ML565 Lace-Up Fashion Sneaker Deals

I normally only wear 574's from New Balance, but I purchased these because they share the same shoe last and they're similar. I can't say that I like them as well, but they're alright.

I believe the mid-soles are different, and while I think I like the 574 mid-sole better, the 565 doesn't seem bad. One thing I definitely don't like as well is the lack of mesh in the all-suede upper. They probably don't breath as well, but that's not a huge factor for me in a suede shoe. I just like the looks of the mesh/suede combo better then the all-suede shoe.

I saved my final criticism for last, because it applies to both the 565 and 574 models of "Lifestyle and Retro" shoes. These are the ones with model numbers that start with "ml". I don't like them because they appear to be the hipster version of New Balance shoes, with laces that usually match the suede. Like any good hipster shoe, they seem to be more narrow, which is antithetical to the very thing that made the 574, and probably 565, popular shoes in the first place (i.e. spacious.) Even though these are supposedly made on the same shoe last as other models in the line, they definitely don't have the advertised toe depth of the SL-2 shoe last. I've also noticed that many New Balance shoes made on the SL-2 last don't seem to be as wide as they used to be, so that issue probably isn't for the lifestyle and retro shoes alone.

Seems strange that New Balance would ruin a popular line of shoes by changing the very things that made them popular, but that's what they seem to be doing. For customers that want a more narrow 574, it seems like New Balance would just suggest the 363 or one of their models made on narrow shoe lasts. Regardless, I wish they'd leave the SL-2 shoes alone, so that customer who appreciate them can continue to do so. I've worn them for 20 years and the only thing that will stop that is if New Balance changes the shoes so much that they're not the same.

Great Shoes. The grey was the color that I liked the most and it was the cheapest. They are really comfortable. I already knew for NB size 10 fits me perfect so I bought that size but I normally wear 9.5. So, maybe you would want to get a half a size bigger for a better comfort. The support is also good. The only thing I did not like a lot is the design in the upper front part but not really a big deal. Especially for the price, I should not complaint at all! If you are interested and having doubts, I think you should give it a shot. You will not regret it.

I hate writing bad reviews I particularly hate writing them on a product I have traditionally championed as my footwear of choice. No longer.

I ordered a pair of these shoes February 12, 2013 it is now May 6, 2013 and these shoes have already fallen apart. Less than three months of wearing these to work and to walk my dogs and they have already burst open at the front left toe. I don't use them for anything heavy simply walking about and daily activities. I am severely disappointed with this pair of shoes and how they have held up in comparison to the pairs I had worn as a child usually each pair would last me at least a year and I'd finally be forced to throw them out after two or three years of chaotic childhood play this current pair didn't even last three months of casual walking about.

On the bright side they are just as comfortable as they have always been the downside is that I paid ~$50 for a pair of shoes that didn't even last three months. I will be contacting New Balance customer support to see what they have to say as this is completely unacceptable to myself and presumably other potential buyers.

I am very pleased with the product. Upon reading all of the reviews for the Nuovo's, was a little worried that the perforations were going to cause water to enter the shoes on either 1) a rainy day or 2) mornings where there is a lot of dew on the grass. So far, I have had no problems with either.

Already owning several tour 360's, I wanted to purchase this shoe that looked less like a golf shoe and more like a casual shoe (as it seems the trends are with all golf shoes these days) without the loss of actual cleats on the bottom of the shoe (the cleats provide better traction in my opinion). With the great style and the thintech cleats, his shoe ended up being the best of both worlds.

I have used adidas golf shoes for many years now, tour 360 to be exact. I would have come to expect the adipure to be just as comfortable as my previous shoe. After playing two rounds my feet will tell you otherwise. The novelty of the tongue sewn in wore off the first time I tried to slip my foot into the shoe. Horrible blisters and half the feel that the tour 360 gives. I will be donating these shoes to the trash and buying the model that has already proven itself.

Ryka is a great water shoe, or was till this design. I teach 10 water fitness classes a week. I go thru many new shoes and the Ryka made 3 yrs ago were perfect. These shoes miss the mark. They lack support at the top of the shoe ,and most importantly bad traction. They are very slippery, and this is so important on the deck of the pool, and when in the pool. Sadly disappointed.

I ordered these shoes to use for my water aerobics class that I take 3 times a week. They fit and work very well. I usually wear a size 6 1/2 or 7 shoe and I ordered a 6 1/2 and they fit nice and snug like a water shoe should. They keep me from slipping around on the bottom of the pool and help provide support for my feet during the jumps. They do take a while to dry out (about 3 days when just sitting at room temp.) But what shoe that has been soaked in water for over an hour wouldn't take a while to dry. I always remove the insole so it can dry out on its own and then replace it before heading out to the pool again. I would recommend these shoes to anyone wanting to help protect their joints and feet during water aerobics.

I broke both my ankles and my foot last year, and had to have surgery on all. Started water aerobics for therapy just recently and quickly found out that jogging across the pool was very painful. My instructor recommended these shoes and I am very happy she did. I couldn't have continued the classes without them. Now I can go to class and get the exercise I need to strengthen and get the movement back in my ankles and feet.
