In general, we love these shoes for our boys ages 6 and 5. They fit nicely with or without a sock and have great flexibility and traction. As would be expected, they are not warm enough for wearing in the winter. There are two downsides. First, the silver part of the shoe is not actually material, it is paint. It doesn't last as long as one would expect it to for dropping $60 on a pair of shoes. I wish they would either eliminate the silver part entirely or make it better quality by actually being material. The first pair my eldest son owned had one shoe with the silver paint all worn off within the first month of wearing them, and the other shoe had it partially missing. So the shoes didn't look as nice as they should have for $60. Second, these shoes do NOT easily dry off. The advertising I recall says that they dry quickly...they don't. Not even in direct sunlight. It usually takes a good day for them to dry off if we put them outside after playing in the water. I think these shoes would be a better bargain if the above were improved upon OR if the price was lowered to say $45 a pair.

All that said, they are great outdoor play shoes for the spring, summer, and fall. My son has learned to climb trees like a monkey in these shoes because they offer adequate protection and traction while also giving his foot the flexibility it needs to climb.

I bought these for my clumsy boy. He was hating school last year because he was always falling and couldn't run as fast as the other kids. This summer he mentioned that he can run faster barefoot so I grudgingly decided to give these a try. They're so expensive! So far, they have made a world of difference for his self esteem and will hopefully cut down on the awful hip bruises he was coming home with. I LOVE THESE SHOES! THEY ARE SO WORTH THE MONEY!

I typically go through a pair of Nike in 5-6 months. I wear them to work, home, garden, mowing the lawn, etc. My wife gave me a pair of these for Christmas and I am just not replacing them 8 months later. These are the most durable, comfortable, and good-looking shoes I have ever owned. The dark color hides the scuffs and scratches well, so they look great even when wearing out. These would have held up even longer had I not gotten them wet several times. I think that's what finally did these in. So, I am ordering a new pair today.

I like Sketchers because the size I need seems to always fit in the shoe stores. The problem is, my size (11.5 wide) is only available in local shoe stores in very limited varieties. For years I have been disappointed that the Sketchers I really liked were NEVER the size I needed. As a result, I always "settled" for something in my size that was the least ugly. No more!

PROS:

*Here you can pick out what you want, and if you know a certain size traditionally fits you, then it is safe to order it here.

*I find Sketchers to be a high quality, yet affordable choice in sneakers.

*This particular style looks very nice, even better than it looks in the photos on Amazon.

*No pesky salesperson asking if they "can help you" 5 or 6 times while you are in the store shopping. No, you can't help me if you don't stock anything I really like in my size.

*The price here is within a few dollars either way of what you would expect to pay anyways in the shoe store.

*This is the first pair of sneakers I have ever dared to order on-line. Nice to know it wont be the last.

CONS:

*There are none. My only concern was about fit, as of course you can't try these on first. But in this case, they fit perfectly.

Bottom Line: Save yourself time and aggravation. If you know what size fits you, a whole new world of styles you will not find locally, all of a sudden are made available. I wished I had started ordering my Sketchers here years ago.

This is my second pair of Vibrams and they fit and feel great. The quick lace systems is a whole lot better than the velcro strap that I had before. I ordered this pair one-size smaller than my preivious pair becuase they tend to strech within time and my old pair was loose and uncomfortable no matter how tight the velcro strap was. As soon as I tried on the one-size smaller Vibrams I figured out that my previous pair was the wrong size all along. They felt snug at first but as soon as I started to walk they felt right. I tried on my old pair of Vibrams at a local shop, got my size down and ordered them online becuase they did not have the styles I was looking for. If its your first time ordering Vibrams I recommened trying them on at a local shop then ordering them on Amazon becuase they are way cheaper. Just remember that the fabric tends to strech within time, so maybe going one-size smaller might be better for the long run.

I've worn my Nike Air Max+ 2012 shoes for both running and gym workouts for over a year now, and am looking to buy another pair, but finding it hard to make a purchase due to two issues with the previous pair.

First, one shoe started squeaking (a hole in one of the air chambers) within two months of wearing them only indoors. I know I didn't puncture it, thus there was a manufacturing flaw. It wasn't significant enough to deflate the cushioning, and other than the noise, not noticeable when wearing the shoe. I generally have a headset on while working out, so not a big issue.

A bit of research on this subject located a lot of people who purchased the shoe having similar issues, many significant enough for them to return the product.

Second, I wear a size 9.5 in most brands, but always size up in Nike to a 10. In these I got a 10, but really needed a 10.5 (they were out when I went to exchange them). I never have been able to wear even thin socks with these shoes due to the sizing, so if you order go one FULL size up and you should be good to go unless you want to wear them barefoot.

The Nike+ Stand Alone Sensor Kit fits easily into this shoe and paired with my iPod without a hitch. I've never felt it underneath my foot, which is as it should be.

Overall, I enjoy the comfort, styling and fit of this shoe. They are lightweight and perform well, but if purchasing them, be aware of the smaller sizing and the possibility of squeaky shoes.

I loved the Mizuno Wave Rider 15's, then I was crazy about the 16's. I've done most of my running in those two models. I switched to Brooks Pure Project shoes because I loved the lighter, more moulded fit. This shoe brought me back to Mizuno. It fits like a glove with great support for the arch and heel but the toe box is roomy. It is light and responsive on road and trails with plenty of cushion, although not as much as the 15's. It's a great product! I bought the raspberry colored but I wish they had a larger selection of colors. Never the less, I am hooked!

I really like the fit of this shoe and it is light. I am a neutral runner. I am a Mizuno fan. i run 25 to 30 miles per week with a long run on the weekends. I try to alternate shoes. I do about the same mileage during the week in 3 days that I do on the weekends. I ran 7 miles first time out in these shoes with no problem.

I am an avid runner and triathlete. I run all distances from 5Ks to marathons. I'd say I am typically middle of the pack or a bit faster. Currently, I am running about 20-25 miles per week as I ramp up to another marathon in February. I am a neutral runner and have previously run in Asics Nimbus, Mizuno Wave Rider, and Mizuno Precision. I bought these as a replacement for my favorite shoes, the Mizuno Precision 13. They are not really a replacement, as they are a totally different shoe. They appeal to the same type of runners, though. They are a great middle of the road shoe, so to speak -not super cushy but not minimalist. I knew the drop was only 10 mm compared to the 13 mm of the Precision, but I was wanting to go a little more minimal and a bit lighter. I've only run in these shoes for about a month, and I'm having Achilles problems running only 10 miles for my long runs and 3-4 runs per week. Nothing major, but it's definitely tight and sore much of the time. Achilles issues aside, I've always loved Mizuno shoes because they last forever! My Precisions have over 500 miles on them, and they still look brand new (well, the soles are a bit worn, but the upper has no holes or anything -I trained for and raced an Ironman in them). My Asics always had holes in them by then. Unfortunately, after only about 100 miles, these shoes are showing some wear. The mesh has small holes where my foot bends already! If it wasn't for the durability factor, I'd give these more of a chance. I will continue to run shorter runs in them and hopefully make the adjustment to the lower drop, but I have a feeling they just may not last long. I think I'm going to try to pick up a pair of Precisions before they are completely gone. I REALLY wanted to like these. I waited a month for my running shoe store to get them in after Mizuno pulled them from the shelves for a defect. Many people are having issues with holes in the mesh now that they've been out for a few months. I hope Mizuno will fix this problem because otherwise, they are great shoes.

Cheap ASICS Women's GEL-Blur33 Running Shoe

I have always been a big fan of the Kayano (14, 15, 16) and decided to try a lighter weight shoe. Despite being a "minimalist" shoe, the Gel-Blur offers fantastic cushioning and stability (I tend to overpronate a little). These shoes are super light weight and so comfortable! The only thing I noticed is that I had to order a half size larger than what I wore in the Kayanos. Definitely going to get another pair!

I work at a hospital and have to wear gray scrubs so it can get rather boring. I bought these shoes to spice things up. I have gotten so many compliments on them from co-workers, doctors, and patients/family. I love how the ASICS brand fits my feet. My pair ran a little small though. The only other thing you should know is that the mesh on the top of the shoe above your toes is just that. It can get breezy in the winter time and you have to be aware of what color socks you wear because you can see into the shoe.

A few months ago I was looking to transition into minimalist running shoes for a variety of reasons. However, I tried to transition too fast and ended up with tendonitis in my ankle. Just recently I discovered the Asics 33 line and a friend gave me a pair of Blurs to try. I absolutely love them. They are a minimalist style shoe with a enough cushioning to enable a smooth transition to an even more minimal shoe, or to use if you are the type of runner that needs a little more cushioning than barefoot running, or runs on pavement a lot. These are also great shoes for the gym.

I bought this shoe because I have flat feet and Asics is one of the few brands I can run in without hurting the bottoms of my feet. I got them and the shoe seemed to fit but it was way too narrow and considering they don't have a wide version in this one I thought I would go a size up but it was the same deal, too narrow. So I just kept the shoe because they are that cute thinking they would break in. I wore them to work one day and I could not wait to take them off my feet were killing me by the second half of the day! I was very disappointed because I had just ordered another pair of Asics GT 2170 in the same size and they are perfect for running and everyday wear. So overall very cute shoe and nice and flashy (I get a lot of compliments on them when I do actually wear them) but very very uncomfortable for "non-skinny" feet.

I usually run with the Nike Free or Reebok RealFlex, so I like a pretty flexible, minimal shoe when I run. I got this shoe for a bit of added support for my longer runs. The soles of these shoes are very flexible but not quite as much as the more minimal shoes I usually run with. In addition, there is a good amount of support and cushioning around the ankle of the shoe. The shoes are light and breathable, as well. Overall, it is a comfortable shoe that I would recommend to the neutral shoe wearer who likes a shoe that is more on the minimal side.

I ordered a size 11W and I felt that my toe was just a little too close to the front...since most shoe companies don't carry half sizes past 10.5 (especially in wide) I was fully expecting to have to return these and pick another style, but low and behold Asics does offer half sizes even at 11 and in Wide! And thankfully with Amazons great customer service, I was able to order the new shoes and have them shipped to me while I was packing up the shoe I wanted to send back! All with a few clicks on my screen.

As another reviewer noted, I thought these shoes felt much too narrow when I first tried them on. I went for my run anyways, and 10 minutes in the shoes already felt much better then the "no brand" pair they replaced. Excellent cooling and aside from the initial narrow feeling the sizing was spot on for what I expected. Styling in person is a little cheesy, but these are athletic shoes.
