I ordered my normal size in this style shoe which is also a wide width. It felt tight across the foot. I had not checked the shoe last(pattern that the shoe is based on). I followed New Balance's recommendation, and ordered a extra wide but in the same size. The logic being you can always add thicker socks or inserts to make up for a shoe feeling a bit big, but you can't do anything with a tight shoe. I am really happy with this style of running shoe. New Balance comes in wide and extra wide widths, plus they tell you what shoe last they used. The shoe last determines if the toe box is average depth or deep, how high the instep is and the width of the heel. I have bought New Balance shoes because of this extra feature. This style 1340 is very cushioned. and also is a great stabilizer for those with flat feet. This is supposed to be the upgrade to the 1012.

This shoes is wonderful! I have painful plantar faciitis and need a shoe with stability control and excellent support this is it! I don't even need to put my inserts in this shoe. It fits well and has ample padding in the footbed as well as around the ankle. I even like the style, which is a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this shoe to those with heel and/or arch pain.

This is my third try on a motion control shoe, and I am very pleased with this one. I had to get a half size larger than I normally wear in New Balance due to the extra padding. This shoe is replacing the 1011 which I had great success with but needed to replace; I was beginning to have knee and ankle problems and knew it was time to replace the shoe. This shoe keeps the ankles supported with lateral movement and the overall cushioning, arch support, and stability are excellent. I also have orthotic insoles in them which makes them even more comfortable. I would recommend the 1340 to anyone needing support in an athletic shoe.

I don't wear sneakers that much, I tend to wear dress or semi-dress boots even for weekends walks. I think my last pair of sneakers was over 10 years old. I bought these because I wanted something super comfortable, with decent arch support and good looks. These sneakers are well made and have an upscale feel, due in no small part to the suede material. I bought them for daily walks in the neighborhood, and find myself wearing them for almost any casual occasion. They look especially good in green. I will buy them again.

I normally wear a 9 but bought a 9.5 after reading reviews & it was the right decision since it was just right. The first day I wore these was for a 10-hour sightseeing trip where all I did was walk & I was so pleased with the comfort and support! I am pregnant and these made it possible for me to support extra weight and not have achy feet at the end of the day. This is a better deal than in the big box stores (where I originally fell in love with them). I always check Amazon for this reason & it paid off. It is my first pair of Saucony's, too and I will definitely purchase again after wearing them out. The colors are really vibrant and eye-catching.

I really like these, style wise. They are lightweight. They're good for working out, but they look good for a trip to the store, too. I am a little unhappy with the fit, though. They seem to run a bit small. I can still fit into them, but they are a little snug. If you buy them, you might want to buy a half-size up from your usual size.

I love Scarpa hiking boots so I was thrilled to discover they were making trail running shoes. I bought both the Scarpa Tempo and the Scarpa Spark. I alternate shoes as I clock a lot of miles. These are both great shoes, fit a regular/narrow foott, are both very light and so far I am impressed with the tread and stability. For myself, I slightly prefer the Tempo, as they give me a bit more cushion and support. Spark are lovely and light but if your daily runs are over 10km then I would definitely opt for Tempo.

Any running shoe that bears the Air Max Plus moniker should have a well-cushioned, beefy platform. Unfortunately, this particular model does not and is a disappointing, radical departure from the Air Max Plus heritage that had been the "Cadillac of running shoes".

This shoe is lightweight with a mostly breathable mesh upper. The platform itself has a lighter, more cheaply-made feel than the traditional Tuned Air chassis. After about 50 miles of use, I had to replace the inner sole with a Dr. Scholl's Athletic cushion, to provide more shock absorption when running. It should be noted that I have never had to replace the inner soles of the traditional Air Max Plus before, which have all been subject to about 500 miles of hard use; the old chassis design had always been able to take the pounding.

I'm not quite sure what the philosophy was behind this running shoe. A separate model should have been made, with the express purpose of being a lightweight, mediocre-cushioned running shoe. In essence, the tradition of the Air Max Plus series should have been retained because the Air Max + 2012 sorely misses the mark and, in fact, is more reminiscent of the Reebok Zig-Pulse than anything else.

For the money, it is far less than adequate.

As soon as the shoes arrived, I slipped them right on and headed for the treadmill...6 miles later, my feet were still happy so I headed out for a 2 mile walk with the dog....Feet are still happy.... I had hammer toe corrective surgery and suffice it to say my other running shoes don't seem to "work" as well for me..But these new Columbia shoes fit like a glove and offer added comfort due to the stretchy material. Doesn't have a lot of fancy stitching and that helps a lot too..Try them; you'll be glad you did!

I purchased two of these shoes. One for myself and one for my boyfriend. We needed them for our trip to Egypt where we were going to play in the Red Sea. I have worn "toe socks" before so I had an idea of what they would feel like. On the other hand my boyfriend had never worn anything like this and just thought they looked cool. It took him a few tries before he could get them on and off easily but once they were on all he kept saying was it felt like he was floating on a cloud. I couldn't agree more! They were so incredibly comfortable and supportive! They turned heads like crazy which was a little embarrassing for me but I loved promoting them :) It the water you couldn't even tell you had them on! They were so light and didn't gain weight in the water. They saved our feet immensely and made for a much more pleasurable visit to the Red Sea :) Even if you are unsure about the toe compartments I would recommend giving them a try ... if you don't you have no idea how much comfort you are losing out on!

I work for the marine corps as a civilian and I join them on battalion runs. My race shoes were getting beat up and wanted something low cost and good in water. These were perfect.

On the street. Not so good, but running on the beach, epic. I wound up buying 2 pairs for me and one for coworker.

For the price you can't beat.

I wear a size 8.5 in most shoes and the 9 fit like a glove. Hope it helps.

Best Deals on Fila Mens Skele-Toes Bay RNR 3

I have very wide feet, and normally have to get a 13W to accommodate them. I could wear a size 12 if they made them wide enough so when I heard these ran a size big, I figured to see if the claims were true. I ordered a size 12, got em in the mail yesterday and boy was I pleased. They fit my big feet perfectly, just long enough and with an adjustment of the straps, perfection! These are going to be my water shoes for when I go snorkeling or diving in the springs. Checked the bottom of the shoe out as well to be certain they'd hold up, and they are made out of some serious material, real thick with little gaps in certain spots so the water inside will drain out, a huge plus that I was not aware of upon buying them. Took them out in my pool and they work wonders, drain quickly and dont rub my feet badly. Very, very pleased with this product.

My husband is on his 4th pair of Skele-toes and he likes these best. The bottom is thicker and more padded without being the style he started with which had the sole that collected rocks (had 2 pairs of these). He walks every day and is a baseball instructor and coach. He wears them for all these activities and prefers them (as do his knees) over his old coaching shoes. His other pair of Bay Runner's are slightly different and less padded (got these about 6 months ago).

Brooks Men's Cascadia 6 Running Shoe Review

I'm a supinator, but have typically always worn trail shoes, specifically Adidas (but I'm blanking on the model now!). I switched to Brooks in late Feb of this year after consulting several ultra-marathon friends. I was wearing out the Adidas every 2-3 months, only running 3-4 miles a day, resulting in shin pain as soon as the cushion was gone. I can probably attribute some of that to the fact that I was in the wrong shoe to begin with. The Brooks Cascadia has been fantastic, I've run 6 races in them, and have consistently shed 1:30 off of two 10k races and another 45 seconds off my 5k, those being on the road. On the trail, I get the grip I need, they're light, comfortable and stable. I've yet to roll an ankle in them (now I'm jinxed!), which is something I managed to do every couple of weeks in my Adidas. Another thing I love is that the shoe stays in form, I tried a pair of New Balance (again blanking on the model)and within 3 weeks my feet were sliding around like I was wearing shoe boxes instead of sneakers, and they fit snug when I bought them! This is now my second pair of Cascadias (6 only), I love the shoe, can't wait to break them in tomorrow AM. The only downside is that it took a little over a week for my legs to adjust the different sole and cushion. And, they smell like a cat peed on them, but that maybe from what I've been running through too.

I bought these shoes to run a 40 mile trail ultra. Training consisted of things like jumping in lakes and running through mud and snow and creeks and everything that's not flat and not nice. I tried to put them through Foot Apocalypse, and they did fine. I'm not a runner who's ready to get full-on minimalist, so there was shoe enough for my satisfaction. The rock plate made it's presence known, and it worked for my treks into sharp rubble and over knobby stunted mountain tree roots.

During the race, I fell a couple of times, turned my ankle all kinds of ways, but the shoe rode low enough to keep me from spraining anything. I like the little spring biscuit in the lacing. It kept my foot anchored deep in the shoe without feeling too tight. Nice shoes.

As Strong Bad once said, "Everyone is different, no two people are the same."

And so it is with shoes. For me these trail runners are everyday shoes. I needed comfortable shoes to help with my pronation and I was tired of buying garbage shoes. I am a fairly thrifty person and if I didn't have a fifty dollar Amazon gift card I don't know if I would have bought these. I did and I like them.

They are cushy where it counts and the tread works for me. I broke my ankle 2 years ago and it still gives me problems. I wanted a shoe with good tread and nice stability and that is what I got.

The look is nice too. Gray sneakers look better for longer, just like silver cars. They just don't look as dirty as other colors.

If there was one bad thing it is my socks. That sounds odd but stay with me. I wear performance moisture wicking low cut socks and for some reason the Cascadia works the heal of the shoe down as I walk so it comes just below the back of the shoe, which is super annoying. I have to wrench the back of the sock back up 2 or 3 times before it sticks.

I have never experienced this with any other shoe, but because I like the Brooks I will find different socks to wear.

I bought this shoe based on those positive reviews I've seen elsewhere. I bought Cascadia 6 thinking that it would be best for trail running and I was in for a much greater deal. The first minute I wore the shoes, it really felt like a glove for my feet and I can feel those 4 shock stabilizers bubbling whenever I land on uneven terrain.

What surprised me the most is that it is perfect on the tennis court. I have a Asics Gel Resolution 3 which is considered one of the best tennis shoes but it was unheard of that Cascadia 6 is also a good tennis gear. Yes, Cascadia 6 could be at par or even better than Asics GR3 in Tennis, except for the fact that my green Cascadia 6 is not a good looking pair of shoes.

I consider it a steal to have gotten a Cascadia 6 for under $70. My other Brooks road running shoes is a Glycerin 8. I love my Brooks shoes.
