Bought these at a LSS, but I needed to put this online too. Great running shoes. I have the 4E width. The arch support is fantastic. Good lateral support. I can see placing several hundred miles on these and hopefully 1K or more. Definitely worth the look. Compare directly with any Nike/Reebok/Asics for weight, arch, cushion and check price v. performance. Love the minimalist look and the maximum performance. It's not a fashion show.

I am a long time buyer/user of the Salomon line of shoes. The X Ultra GTX is waterproof, light weight, supportive, and has a great fit. The room and protection in the toebox are what first drew me too there trail running shoes.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I like being able to go on a hike, and then proceed with my day around town. All without concerns about the weather, or the weight of my footwear. These suit that purpose for me perfectly.

The speed lacing system, is durable (kevlar lacing), and provides a fast, comfortable, custom fit. Which allows for making performance adjustments when going from walking, to climbing, to bouldering during a hike. I have owned different versions of these shoes and never worry about chaffing, blisters or sore feet. The have excellent grip on the trail and they always keep my feet dry.

Although I mention good grip on trail, watch out for manhole covers or metal grates in city streets during rain or snow. They seem extra slippery in those situations.

Well, they get my recommendation.

These are super comfortable for me. The laces are really nice and allow for quick changes. Seem well built. I have went on a few day hikes and have no complaints. Can't think of anything wrong with them except maybe how expensive they are.

To me they are far nicer than Marrell Moabs which I was on my 2nd or third pair.

These shoes are very good, comfortable, true to size and width with easy system for lacing. Quality seems very good as was expected from Solomon. Gore-tex system allows to be with dry feet in a "wet" place. I've evaluated 4 stars because hoped to find a little bit better support and fixation in the arch of foot only.

I have been buying Salomon trail running shoes and hiking boots for over 10 years. I just ordered these and recieved them. I am currently wearing a size 9 in their Trail Running shoe and hiking boots. I ordered a size 9 for these. Too big! Even fully tightened my heel slips out. I dont know if its a manufacturing issue or just an isloted incident but they seem like a size 11 when Im wearing them/ Returning them.

I am normally pretty hard on shoes. They either don't last long enough or can't stand up to the terrain I walk through. I like this shoe because it is very comfortable to walk in wherever I may be. The shoe breathes very well and keeps my feet cool or warm depending on the climate. The gore-tex is very nice especially walking through little puddles or wet terrain. I never have to worry about my feel getting uncomfortable from being soaked. They hold up to whatever I put them through and keep going strong. One of the best pairs I've ever owned.

I'm a size 9.5 or 10 and just a little on the wide side. Ordered these in 10 and glad for it. They stretch a bit which is good because I was only able to fit them while wearing cycling socks when they first arrived. Super light shoe. Very comfortable though not a cushy ride, or stiff sole so be aware. I'm a ground pounder so these are taking some getting used to but after 20+ miles in them my feet feel much better than my previous pair of trail runners that had more structure.

The lacing system works great and does not come loose or undone. The tongue is not free floating like most shoes. It is attached all the way up the sides so you slip your foot in as you would a slipper. These are my first P.I. running shoes and I'm happy to report a new favorite.

These soles are amazing. It feels like they are almost sticky. I have only had them for 3 months, but they haven't worn much at all despite riding with them about 10 hours a week. The flap that covers the laces is great for keeping out mud.

The shoes are heavier than the shoes that I was using, but I think that the great soles more than make up for it. They take a while to dry, but I find that because of the flap, it is better to just wipe down the outside of the shoe rather than completely wash and dry it.

Overall, these shoes are highly recommended for mountain bikers!

I take water aerobics 5 times a week and needed more support than the bargain-store shoes I had been buying. This shoe definitely is great support-wise. The disappointment comes from the fit. I found it a little snug and difficult to get on and off. I have yet to be able to adjust it, since there appears to be little extra room in the tie. This is the size I have always used, but maybe I should have ordered a 1/2 size up.

I really liked this shoe with the exception that it is too narrow and the shoe laces are not long enough to make easy to get on or off. I have a narrow foot and ordered a medium width. Was extremely narrow. Struggled to put the shoe on because the laces are very short. Can't even imagine if shoe was even a little damp. Sizing was good. Overall support was good. Wore them sitting at the computer for a little while debating if I could adjust to the snug fit but decided in the end that they would probably chaf so I ended up returning. Would be tempted to order again if I could get in wide width. Have had this problem with Ryka shoes being too narrow in other styles so think it is a brand issue.

I have taught Aquja Aerobics for the past 8 years at LA Fitness in Vista, CA, and the only water areobics shoe, bar none, that fits the best, lasts the longest, is the Ryka Women's Aqua Fit 4 shoes which I have 4 pairs of. My husband bought me your latest model with the lime green, which I did not have. I do not have to buy these shoes frequently because they do not fall apart and last forever, and I teach 2-6 aqua classes a week, so the shoes get lots of wear and tear in the water since I teach mostly in the water and not on the deck. I would recommend these shoes to everyone. Some of my students cannot buy them because they cost more than they can afford, but you get what you pay for. They may be a bit pricey for some, but you get your money's worth because they last forever and you do not have to purchase the shoes over and over again like the cheaper shoes that fall apart every other month. Ryka is by far the BEST aqua shoe on the market, and I know because I have taught aqua in the water for tlhe past 8 years.

The RYKA Women's Aqua Fit 4 shoe is poorly designed. The worst thing about it is the lacing/locking system. The shoe cannot be opened widely enough to get the foot in without causing the tongue to roll under. It takes several tries to get the shoe on comfortably. In order to avoid frustration, I found it necessary to cut out the laces and insert standard tieable shoe laces. Additionally, the sole of the shoe is poorly designed to prevent slipping in the pool. I've been doing water aerobics for over 10 years and have never nearly fallen until I started wearing these shoes. This was a bad purchase! Not at all what an experienced user expected from Ryka.

Bought these for my son because all other colors were sold out and he was running his first half. He needed to break in the shoes and knew that if he didn't get a pair he would be hurting for the half marathon. He loved the way they fit and said it was like running on a cloud. On the up side, my DIL took a black sharpie and filled in most of the pink lines which toned down the color a bit. He is also a big WWE fan so she drew the logo on the toe top and we bought black laces. He did get a lot of compliments during the race. Still looking for a different color for his next race though.

As a long time trail runner I've tried major labels such as New Balance but always felt like I was getting mixed results in terms of performance. This is my first pair of minimalist shoes and I will never go back to traditional running shoes again. The zero drop from heel to toe feels much more natural and provides less strain overall. Being able to feel the ground beneath my feet has made me much more responsive to conditions. Additionally, the traction is bad ass. This is all wheel drive for your feet. Straight up the mountain like a goat. True to size, just jump in!

I have been wearing minimal shoes for several years and the Altra Superior is by far my favorite. I just bought my second pair. It is very lightweight but has some cushioning. It also has a wide toe box, which is very hard to find in most shoes especially minimal shoes. Running with crammed toes is not conducive to natural running. I also really like the treads of the Superior. They are not excessive, but give adequate traction so I can go from road to trail, and can wear these in snowy conditions.

I am a marathon runner who completely reevaluated my running form and shoes due to a hip injury. To make a long story short, these shoes are like heaven for me! My injury got to the point where running was no longer a run and stress relieving activity for me. After taking time off and gradually easing myself back in, I sought out minimalist shoes and began trail running. I originally was going to go for Inov-8's, but fell in love with these. They are SO comfortable, and help promote mid foot striking (and not heel striking). I used to run in Asics. I ran on a pretty rocky trail the other day and they worked wonderfully and have held up nicely. Even though they are minimalist, I never felt as though the rocks were painful or aggravating. The shoe is lightweight, comfortable, and durable. It's awesome to have pain free running again. Two thumbs way up!

I love barefoot/minimalist style shoes for running, yet I find that after I pass 7 or 8 miles, the balls of my feet start aching. So I searched for shoes that were zero drop but had a tad more padding than the New Balance Minimus or Merrel Glove or Five Finger Bikilas. Altra is the answer. They are relatively light weight and have just enough cushioning that I can run half marathons without my feet aching for days after. I bought the Intuitions last year and love them. I decided to try the trail version for running on rough roads and trails in Ethiopia. These are definitely a little bigger than the intuitions and I wish I had ordered a half size down. My foot slid around too much during the first run. The grip on the sole of the shoe is great! I no longer slip on loose gravel and am able to gain traction in the dirt. Overall, I like them. I just wish they were less clunky and truer to size.

Mizuno Women's Wave Ronin 5 Running Shoe Review

I was nervous when I tried these on the first time they're a little snug. I wouldn't get a size bigger than normal, but if you ride a size like me (7.5-8) I'd say go with the bigger size.

I've easily put 60 miles (mostly treadmill) on them, and I haven't had a single problem with the shoes. I also wear these for weight lifting & other cross training. They're just as bright and fun as you want them to be (I got the yellow).

I had some knee problems that I almost blamed on the shoes, but after a trip to a sports therapist doctor, I found out I wasn't engaging my glutes properly (weird I know!). I faithfully do my physical therapy and I'm running again without any issues.

Love the shoe! Fits a little small. Normally I wear a 7 and 1/2 but I ordered an 8 bit it is still on the small side. But the shoe itself is awesome! Love it for training and running on the track.

I really like the quality of Mizuno sneakers, and these are definitely made well. They are extremely lightweight and do run a bit small, about a 1/2 size small the only thing I wasn't aware of when I purchased them, is that the soles have little teeny "pegs" for tread probably really great traction for running, but I use them primarily for my Insanity workout, and I find that the soles are kind of uncomfortable with all the bouncing and jumping around I'm doing. Just a thought if you are thinking of buying them for something other than running.

My wife wanted a new pair of shoes before she ran her next marathon; this is what she chose. She has been running in them for about 2 weeks and has nothing bad to say. She typically runs in Mizunos, so it is not like she was gambling with this decision.

Overall they are very lightweight and comfortable. she runs about 4-8 miles every day (sometimes more).

She said these are wonderful shoes and she would buy another pair if she found it necessary.
