This is a great Trail Shoe. I run off road trail races, Mud Races, Spartan Races etc. These shoes see it all, from Mud, to rocks, to Hills, and Slippery Trails. They perform great in all of these conditions. I have better traction with these then almost anyone else on the trail. Running at Full Speed down a muddy, slippery hill, when everyone else is reduced to a slow walk is great. The only issue that I have is that when fully submerged in water, They do not drain very well due to all the side protection. I would like some outlets for the water, and this would be a 5 star shoe. The MudClaw 265's look like they will drain better, but are a 3mm drop, instead of the 6mm drop on this shoe. I like the 6mm drop though. My next purchase may be the 265's though to see if the 3mm makes a difference to me or not, but with better drainage.

They run a bit on the larger size for me, so I did not go up the usual 1/2 size on running shoes with this one.

Recommendation: I always wash in the washing machine after each race, and hang dry. They look brand new still.

Anyone who pays more than $160 is being ripped off. These sneakers were released over six months ago and websites like finishline and east bay still have them for $160. Resellers need to stop ripping people off.

This is my first purchase from Saucony, but definitely not my last! I love the snug fit of the shoe and it's as light as a feather. The spikes are the perfect length to rip into the grass while running and give some traction around the turns. My first race with them we ran through a stream and my race was a later in the morning after several other races had gone. The mud was a blast and I was surprised how well the shoes managed. I was so happy that they were snug enough to not get eaten by the mud! I'll definitely be purchasing another pair from Saucony next XC season.

Good shoe, very light and cost effective. Unfortunately, the shoe runs between 1/2 to 1 full size too small (order 1/2 size larger than you normally would). Ordered different Saucony shoe (different model) and that one runs true to size.

I bought these shoes for my 12-year-old daughter who runs cross country. She loves how they feel and how they help her ability to run on tough terrain. But most impotantly, they are "cute"!

To be honest, I had never heard of Ryka before I purchased these. I was looking for a lightweight good quality shoe that wasn't too pricey. I saw these for a special price and decided to try them out. They're great. I use them for my every other day 2 mile walk/jog and have run 5km runs in them. They are very light and cushion my feet very well. So two months in, I am happy with them.

I've been using Vibram Five Fingers (those funny-looking shoes with individual pockets for each toe) for the last couple of years. However, I took an almost year-long break from running, and my stabilizing muscles just aren't up to the challenge of running in barefoot shoes right now.

I'm finding these RYKAs to be a fantastic interim shoe. (In fact, I may end up using these long-term instead of my Vibrams.) They have enough cushioning that I'm not killing my ankles, but not enough to make it easy to be lazy about form. The minimal cushioning means I still have to use the muscles in my legs to absorb and control the impact, and that's exactly what I want.

Years ago I had a pair of RYKA crosstrainers that I used for aerobics classes and other stuff at the gym (and occasionally for running) and with both those shoes and these I noticed that the fit is just perfect for my feet. I have fairly wide feet, and many running shoes and sneakers don't fit me well because they narrow too much at the toe. RYKAs, in my admittedly somewhat limited experience, tend to be wider at the toe than most running shoes. If you have feet like mine, I highly recommend giving these (or some other RYKAs, depending on your needs) a try.

There's a negative review highlighting the fact that they have very little cushioning, but I think that reviewer may have been confused about what they were getting. Lightweight running shoes are meant to have little cushioning. This definitely doesn't work for everyone, so this shoe isn't going to work for everyone either. If you need a shoe with a lot of cushioning, this is NOT a good choice. If you've never worn lightweight shoes before, it might not be a bad idea to try some on in the store, or to order these and wear them around inside for a while before committing to them.

Again, I find these to be fantastic, extremely comfortable running shoes. I tend to avoid wearing them when not running so that they'll last longer, but the few times I've worn them when not running I've found them quite comfortable too. It's a nice bonus that they're pretty cute, especially for running shoes.

Even as a long-time RYKA fan, and am pleasantly surprised by how much I like these shoes! They are super light, have a nice cushion and good arch support, and feel sturdy enough around the ankle. I can't explain exactly what it is but there's something about the way you step in these (maybe that focus on mid-foot strike that RYKA advertises) makes you want to get moving! Absolutely love them!

Honest reviews on RYKA Women's Equation Running Shoe

The shoes are great! The size was true to size . When the postman delivered them I tried them on and they felt so good I wore them straight to work. I work in a hospital on 2nd shift and was able to wear them 9 hrs. With no problem. I really like these shoes.

A good fit. They have a wide toe box for those with 'problem' feet. I have tendinosis in my right foot and these have a nice mesh in the top front area so nothing is there to irritate the foot. No breaking in was necessary and they are very comfy. While it did not 'cure' my problem it made it easier to get around.

I've tried this on in the New Balance store, but haven't worn it outside.

The fit of the last (foot shape) is identical to the MT20, which I find a tad tighter in the toes than the MT10 due to a slightly more pointed last. The upper has a similar amount of volume in the toes as the MT20 but uses an even stiffer mesh that has less give than the mesh of the MT20. This no doubt helps to keep out dust/sand and protect from puddles, but I found it tends to fold and bunch up a little around the flex point for me but it will probably soften with use. The tongue is not gusseted and I found it easily twisted and folded when putting the foot in. I didn't like this part very much, and don't understand why a trail shoe wouldn't have a gusseted tongue.

Length is true to size barefoot or with a thin sock. However, I found the toe-room a bit lacking compared to the mesh covered MT10 due to the stiffer upper and the slightly more pointed toe, and even a wide (2EE) in my measured size (10.5) allowed my 4th and 5th toes to rub the end of the shoe. In the end I needed to go up a half size to the 11D in the MO80 to accomodate my wide toe splay and might need and 11 EE even though the shoe was a tad long for me in that length. Not ideal, and I'm a bit disappointed that New Balance used a narrower toe on this model.

The MO80 has good forefoot flex but is definitely much stiffer then the MT10/20 (particularly in the mid-foot and heel), though not as stiff as the MT110. The midsole is a beefed up MT10/20 with amazing toothy tread. It is a bit less cushioned than the MT110, especially in the forefoot. The vibram outsole is soft and will probably wear fast on rock and asphalt but is great for trails. The lugs will probably make it uncomfortable on paved roads anyway.

Lastly there is a pronounced arch support in these compared to the MT10/20. That might be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. True minimalists will probably find it far too much, while bad over-pronators like myself transitioning to minimalist running will appreciate the support. I couldn't keep the MT110s due to lack of any arch support and the raised lateral edge increasing my over-pronation.

Overall a good shoe, but I wish it had a little more midsole in the forefoot and a more rounded toe like the MT10. The level of midsole support is a bit light for people transitioning or logging a lot of hard miles on technical terrain, and the stiffer heel/midfoot and arch support might encourage a heel strike in those still learning proper barefoot form. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I like this shoe and the fit. It's adequately tight through the arch, but very roomy in the toe box, and the heel cup has a good cradling effect. I actually have to remind myself not to tighten the first couple of eyelets worth of laces too tightly because it will bunch up the material at the toe box. Those I keep loosely in place, then I snug the upper laces a little more for a good fit. The deep double eyelets at the very top give you alternatives for lacing styles, which I like, allowing you to tighten in the rear foot and ankles, without over-tightening the top of the foot.

The length is shorter than expected. I attribute this to two possibilities: a) my feet are getting bigger, or b) it's a characteristic of New Balance's minimalist shoes. I say that because I have run almost exclusively in New Balance shoes my whole adult life. I have long narrow feet, and for a long time it was the only one that fit, due to widths. I'm 40 now and I run with a more mid-sole, fore-foot strike than heel-toe. I've heard that both with age and/or with a natural stride that your feet will stretch out. I still have a high arch, but my feet fit better in normal widths and in some shoes I need a larger size. The conundrum of course is few people make 1/2 sizes above 13, so I have to bump to 14. That was the case with this and previous minimalist series New Balance shoes. So, either they tend to run a little short, or minimalist runners' feet get longer with age.

As minimal shoes go, this one is the lower end, all-around performer. Good for hiking, walking, running and multi-sport or functional fitness type conditioning. I'll probably pick up a separate running shoe for workouts that are more purely running-centric, and for track workouts, etc. This shoe will seem a little stiff if you've run in other minimalist series New Balance shoes, but I really like the stiffness and more robust sole for other activities, especially hiking. I do a fair amount of backpacking and I've been searching for a lightweight, yet sturdy hiker. This could be the one, especially for summer with the breathable mesh and light upper.

Construction seems very solid. I complaint of past minimus series trail shoes for New Balance was that the rubber toe guard would become unglued quickly. This one seems more solid, but only time will tell. One gripe I do have is country of origin for manufacturing: New Balance has long been one of the last bastions of American shoe making, especially in traditional locations like New England. Not so for this model, made in Indonesia.

These seem to be designed with a curve in them for arch support and that curve is what would have definitely caused blisters had I kept these shoes.

Honest reviews on New Balance Men's MO80 Minimus Multi-Sport Shoe

I've worn these 3 times and the sole on the toe is already coming un-glued. And I'm talking I wore them to the office, NOT to RUN in... Un-acceptable for a high priced supposedly top of the line shoe. And the left and rights don't even match. The way the sole comes up on the front off center, it's a different angle on the left than on the right. Don't know what NB was thinking, but these are WAY cheap-o shoes. The look good in the box, just don't wear them.

-----The Good Stuff-----

-great ventilation and cushioning

-lightweight impact protection

-really versatile shoe, can wear with almost anything

-offers breathability

-full mesh upper and phylon midsole

-has a cushioned collar for protection around ankle

-rubber waffle outsole for traction

-lots of cool

-----The Not So Good Stuff-----

-they run just a little bit big with the size

-----Other Comments-----

I have owned many different kinds of nikes and the Nike Roshe Runs have got to be one of the most comfortable shoes that I own.

Wearing these shoes makes it feels like you're walking on pillows. They are really stylish also, and Nike offers a wide variety of selection.

Really comfortable shoes, with or without socks! The insole and sole are soft yet durable. The mesh top is very breathable.

Although these shoes are really stylish and look "cool" I would not recommend running in them. In my opinion, I feel like they are

pretty big and too heavy for running. All in all, Nike Roshe Runs are a really comfortable shoe.

I agree with the previous poster who said these are too tight in the ankles. We ordered the wides for my son but they were very hard to get on his feet. Maybe the leather would have stretched but by that time he'd have outgrown them. Other Stride Rite shoes have worked well for us.

Cheap Nike Men's Shox Air Lunar NZ Running Shoe-Gray/Purple

Much more comfortable than standard Shox which are quite firm and unforgiving. The combination Lunar sole adds additional cushioning in forefoot, without sacrificing responsiveness. Mesh upper is slipper-style thus minimizing shoe weight while cradling foot. Upper has minimal padding in tongue area making it uncomfortable to lace very tightly for anyone with nerve sensitivity or those trying hard core training exercises. Good for mild running or basic cross-training. At sale price of $55 this is an exceptional deal. OK value at $90 but overpriced at $140. DEFINITELY sized small. Consider ordering 1/2 size larger unless you like a very tight shoe.

Unfortunately the waffle pattern black sole separated from the lunar sole on the forefoot of both shoes within less than 6 weeks of use. Nike's excellent return claim policy provided me with a full value replacement gift card, but still need to shop for new pair of training shoes. Would much prefer having the shoes last!

I bought Nike Shox about 2 years ago. They tend to be okay for walking, but for running its a whole new story. The soles tend to wear off on one side after a while. Once they a worn out, the soles make it hard to lift weights because it does not grasp on to the floor much (it has more of a sliding effect). I would recommend these shoes if you are a light exerciser.

Very comfortable right out of the box.I bought these shoes because I needed new shoes for my RIPPED class. I love having brightly colored shoes because it makes my workouts more enjoyable if I look good, its vain but true... Anyway, they aren't quite supportive enough for RIPPED, especially doing mountain climbers. I wore them though for Zumba, right after RIPPED and they were fine. I am a bit disappointed in the grip though, I feel they should be much stickier than they are for being brand new. They look very cute though, just not for intense interval training, however at $40 I will use them for Zumba.

I checked to make sure I received the right size and it said I did. I just returned them but they are deducting return shipping from my refund. Really?? That's bull but oh well.

Make sure you order 1/2 a size larger otherwise they won't fit.

It takes me forever to find "The Right Shoe" This shoe is light weight for me there are others that are more light weight but they hurt my feet. But to me these are the lightest shoe that you can run, walk, or walk on a treadmill. They are worth every penny. I generally do not spend $100 on a pair of tennis shoes, but these were worth it. They are extremely comfortable and trendy looking too. Just to note, these shoes do not provide a lot of support for running, if that is what you are looking for. These shoes are very light weight and are comparable to Nike Free3 in terms of support. If you like running shoes with the most support possible, these may not be for you. I love them because I do not even notice them on my feet because they are so comfy!!!
