This shoe is just as adorable in person, but it opens differently than a lot of other Stride Rite shoes and we couldn't even get my son's feet into the shoes.

I agree with the previous poster who said these are too tight in the ankles. We ordered the wides for my son but they were very hard to get on his feet. Maybe the leather would have stretched but by that time he'd have outgrown them. Other Stride Rite shoes have worked well for us.
