These were true to their purpose and super comfortable too as Keens should be! I wore them hiking in Hana HI on rugged terrain AND without even having "broken them in" and they were confortable from start to finishno blisters! Awesome product and worth the price.

Update. I recently (8/2012) purchased a 3rd pair of Arroyo ll's from another vendor. The footbed in this (the Chocolate Brown/Woodrose) is very different from the previous two pairs I've owned. The heels of this pair is notably higher than the previous pairs I've owned. My heels get sore within an hour of putting them on.

3/2012. This is the second pair of women's Arroyo II's I've owned. The Arroyo II seems to run a bit narrower than most other Keen shoes of this type which is just fine with me since my feet are narrow (2A). They are still a little wide for me even with medium weight socks, but I chinch them down tight. On the last pair of Arroyo II's I had, I added a second lace through the top two sets of loops so that I could tighten the heel more. It made all the difference on long walks on rough terrain. I will be doing the same on this pair as well. I also sometimes replace the footbed (inter-soles) if I'm wearing thiner socks. I always were socks with these shoes. Which brings me to my biggest problem with this shoe -the accent color Sap Green. I would much prefer all neutral colors (browns, grays, blacks). Sap Green just does not go with many colors. This is an issue with me because I'd like to be able to wear this shoe everywhere (that a casual shoe would be acceptable) with my many colorful socks. My old, worn out Arroyo II's were brown with gray accents. Loved them. One additional observation--this is a rather heavy shoe at almost 13 oz per shoe.

These are my eighth pair of Keen shoes in one style or another. The biggest reason is the excellent arch support, but they are comfortable overall and I like the way they look. I have not had a chance to wear them on a long hike yet, but they were fine on the short walk. I purchased my usual size 7 and I wear thicker socks and they fit perfectly. I would recommend them especially for the arch support.

The shoe is a 9, the same as my old pair of Arroyo but is too big now.

I dont understand it. And it feels like they switched the materials of the sole.

Seriously bummed because this was the absolute best pair of shoes I've

ever owned. They went on hikes all over the US from west coast surf, sierra mountain

ranges, to southwest deserts, southern appalachians. These shoes were out

of the box broken in, could walk 10 miles in them with no socks and not get

blisters. Super sad about this, because now they went and changed the shoe and

the new color schemes are weird as well. My feet are mourning.

I choose the Arroyo because I wanted a hiking, water, working sandal, with a sole tough enough to stomp on a shovel in the garden with. As soon as my foot landed in the shoe I knew I was keeping it. The foot bed offers great arch support and contour. But over the course of living in the shoe, I have some regret. As noted by others, the shoe seems to run about 1/2sz long. But the width on my foot is snug at the widest portion. The heel cup has a bit of gap to it and the cinch doesn't do much to snug it. I am glad for the extra room at the toeit enhances air circulation.The side cut outs do not really offer enough ventilation, so your bare foot in these will get sweaty and uncomfortable. It would be better as a totally closed shoe, because it feels like a totally closed shoe, with the slots offering little more than an avenue for debris. Great to hike up stream beds, but not nearly as fast drying as other Keen models, so you go around with that wet shoe feeling long after you leave the water. The shoe is quite heavy, and while the foot bed support is good, there is little shock absorption so your feet feel tired before the day is over. That snug fit at the metatarsal? Feels pinched after a day on your feet. Best comfort is to wear with socks to absorb the perspiration the shoe holds, but what I wanted was a shoe for bare feet that would be great for long hikes and creeks. This really isn't it.

this item showed up to my home damaged, manufacture defect. the tread was coming off and i had not even worn them. i submitted a claim and they promptly responded saying to send them pics of the damaged shoes. i sent them 6-8 pics of the shoes and they said they would submit a claim on the following monday. its been 3 weeks and absolutely nothing. the item is not that expensive but the customer service is lacking. National Brands Liquidation is a poor company and i am resentful to do business with them for they have not tryed to contact me, sent me a refund or better product

Very oldschool shoe with it's look and how it's made. Use these strictly for sprinting, 200m max. Do not use these for high jumping. I am while I am waiting for actual HJ spikes and they kill my ankles and cause me some nasty shin splints when used excessively. These shoes rip apart when apply the extra force needed for jumping.

All in all, if you're a new sprinter or need replacement spikes for cheap until you get a different pair, these are awesome for the price.

Vivobarefoot Men's Neo Trail Running Shoe Reviews

If you are looking for a minimalist trail running shoe, this is a fantastic choice. As versatile and comfortable as the Newbalance minimus but more flexible. The materials are fantastic; last forever. It is also waterproof. I've run and walked on the snow with not problem -great grip, waterproof. I've crossed small streams -same grip and water protection. Of course, if you submerge the shoe, water will find its way in.

The size is a perfect fit for me. Toebox is wider than traditional running shoes. This is a good thing, preventing the typical toe V-shape deformation of most people (which is terrible news for runners). Vivobarefoot's website has an interactive system to find your best fit. If you like barefoot running, it may not be a bad idea to go 1/2 a number higher than you are used to. Your feet is likely to expand and grow.

This is a trail shoe providing good protection from rocks and roots. This extra protection however comes with a price -the shoe is not as flexible as other Vivobarefoot models. Small rocks may get stuck between the "spikes" on the sole. Sometimes these can cause minor discomfort and you need to stop to take them out. They are also a bit warm for the hottest days of summer.

I just received a pair of these that I had ordered by US size (14D). However, I was sent a 47. A 47 is a 13-13.5, and I know that. Unfortunately, either the vendor's size charts were wrong, or they weren't paying attention. The box that I received isn't even marked with US or UK sizes, just Euro sizes, so try to order using those sizes, if you know yours. (A size 14 is usually a 48 or 49, most of my shoes are marked 49, if that happens to be you.)

The shoes were comfortable, despite being too short, with a very wide toe box, and really good grip. The leaflet inside listed the sole as 2.5 mm thick, with 4 mm lugs, and that felt about right. Most of the upper looked and felt like neoprene, but the leaflet said it was Dri-Lex, coated with an antimicrobial agent. The tongue was on the short side, barely coming up to the height of the top laces, so if you're the sort that uses every last hole on a shoe to lace up, you might have a bit of trouble with these. I wish these had been the right size, because they otherwise felt very good.

I'm a barefooter and this last year switched over to exclusively wearing Vibram FiveFingers... only to discover, when the winter rainy season hit, that they didn't work quite so well in those conditions (and even the "winter" ones didn't hold up well in slushy snow). After doing a bit of research into other minimalist shoes, I finally hit upon this brand (and this shoe in particular) and decided to give them a try. They're *exactly* what I was looking for. Even with the rugged sole, I still have a pretty good feel for the ground beneath my feet and there's almost no "molding" inside the shoe, so it isn't trying to shove my foot into unnatural positions. The shoe itself cinches down all along the length of the foot, meaning it isn't sliding around when hiking or trailwalking. And, best of all, the upper part of the shoe isn't made of mesh (something very common in minimalist shoes), so my feet stay dry and my toes stay warm!

I like them. Get a lot of complements on them. I think they would perform better if they fit. Because they're men shoes, they are kinda wide. They didnt have a 7 1/2 so I brought an 8. Needed some exercise shoes fast so when I didn't want to return them. My suggestion, if you have slim feet get a half size smaller.

I was having foot problems when running so I read the reviews on these and was confident in buying them. They are great. Very light and breathable. They also very bright. One downfall would be that they appear to be wearing already. I think I've put 75-100 miles on them so far. I'll probably buy another pair if these wear too quickly. Highly recommend though.

I really like these shoes and like that I can purchase a half size (not available in stores near me). I do a lot of high impact aerobics and have had problems with heel pain and these seem to support, but give me enough flexibility to comfortably move around. Overall a great shoe.

I bought these about 6 months ago. I love Asics and am happy with these (although I wished they hadn't stretched out quite so fast.) I run about 6+ miles a week on the treadmill and do aerobic dance or ellipticals at the gym occasionally. I underpronate slightly and have medium-high arches and after doing some research online I decided these would probably work well. They are comfortable and cute. Like I said before, they have lost their original stiffness and the cushioning has worn done quite a bit but I laced them a little tighter and still get some use out of them. For the price they are above average and I would recommend them.

I bought this very same shoe about 2 years ago. Loved them. Couldn't find the same shoe when it was time to buy another so I bought another pair of asics. They were good, but I kept going back to my old shoes. They are way too worn out to be walking in. Someone suggested looking on amazon to see if they still had this shoe and was so happy to see them. And, yes, they are just as comfy as the first pair, except I need to break them in a little. This is a good walking shoe for someone with a wide, flat foot.

New Balance Men's M890 Neutral Running Shoe Review

I bought these for my husband, he no longer runs but he treadmills everyday. I had to return the first pair 10.5 due to short toe box. I ordered an 11 and they are almost perfect. Shipping is very fast and the free return is a nice plus for the customer The toe box again just seems a little narrower then his last pair of NB but they were a different style, a wide would be too large for his foot. He normally wears a 10.5 M. These shoes are a nice color acutally nicer looking in person then online. I would have given them 5 stars if they were a little wider in the toe. I would recommend buying a 1/2 size larger, Will come back later if there are any issues with the shoe. My husband would recommend this shoe for general excercise but for running he said he would need a wider toe for impact esp. if you strike your toes when running. I hope this helps. I know I use recommendations from other customers and find them to be of the utmost help.

Honestly, I chose these shoes because they looked really cool. Well, not really. I chose these shoes to get back into running based on video reviews on YouTube from others who attested to the shoes' lightness and comfort. They were not wrong. These shoes are plenty light and comfortable. I just received them a couple days ago and already put 20 miles on them. I almost sent the shoes back after ordering a size 10.5 and found them a little tight. I however decided to walk around the house in them to see how much distress I would experience. Turns out, all they needed was a little breaking in, and now they fit great. If you are after good looking, colorful, well designed, and lightweight shoes for short or long distance running, these shoes are for you. If you are after a crappy product, don't buy these...you'll be disappointed.

I have worn these shoes about 10 times and the rubber sole is starting to come apart from the green foam.

I honestly can't believe it. I have owned many pairs of New Balance Shoes (all I wear now) and have never had an issue. I have not even run in them yet. I have only worn them at work, which consists of me standing in them to take pictures, then sitting down at my desk to process images on the computer.

These are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet but I can't believe they are falling apart. I think New Balance has a 90 day warranty against defects so I should probably contact them, because I want to be happy with them. They look great and are comfortable.

New Balance replaced my shoes with a new pair. I have yet to wear them much but I hope they don't fall apart, these shoes are awesome.

Just purchased this pair of running shoes. My feet work better when the soles are a bit thinner so Pumas work for me. When I got the shoes at first I thought even for me the soles were a bit thin.....but I ran in them without a problem. I run about 20 miles a week and these shoes have held up well so far....better than I expected. They are also super light......which made it even better for me. Overall....it was a good buy. Just remember to look at the shoe length carefully so that you order the right size as Puma runs small. I am a female that usually wears 6.5 in men's shoes. In Puma.....I have to order a full size up...hence a 7.5....however, when the shoe is properly sized, its perfect. It has surpassed my expectations for road running. This has now become my favorite pair of running shoes.....good balance between being super light but providing adequate cushioning. In the gym on the softer treadmill surface...perfect. Ended up having to give it a five star rating after about 2 months of use

I'm a runner so I go through running shoes very quickly. I'm always looking for a good pair of shoes that I can rely on for a few hundred miles. As I'm currently training for a marathon, I was looking for a lighter shoe to wear on longer runs that wouldn't sacrifice stability. This shoe is definitely light. That's the plus side. The downside to this is the material that the upper is made from seems very cheap. After just a few weeks I began to notice a small tear forming near the toebox. Undoubtedly this is a result of the thin, weak material it is made from. While it does make the shoe very light, it can stand up to too much while in use. In terms of support and cushioning, the shoe feels very supportive and I'm surprisingly pleased with the cushioning it provides being as light as it is. Overall I'm not disappointed in the shoe and will continue to use them but wish the material used on the upper was a little more withstanding of abrasion.

A note on sizing, they run fairly true to size with a snug yet comfortable feeling toebox.
