Used for Marathon Training (recently completed the Chicago Marathon in Oct 2012).

Purchased purely out of peer pressure from a running buddy and the price. Not really a NB fan but, wanted to give them a try. During my 20 week marathon training, any long run longer than 9 miles in the shoes would result in a blister on my left foot (only my left foot, and only with the 890s...none of my other shoes). So, I would only wear the 890s for runs less than 9 miles and I was fine. Upon completion of the Marathon, I started wearing the 890s on my weekly long run, and no blisters....so, I dunno. It is a lighter, long-mileage shoe (it looks heavier than it is). The shoe is now in my rotation for long runs.

I am two and a half weeks into these shoes. They felt great, good cushion and extremely lite. Please note that the 890 are design for the mid/fore foot strikers in mind. The heel drop will force you to use your calf more when compare to traditional running shoes. After my first 12 mile run, my calf did feel a little tight, almost to the point of low grade calf pull. May be is just my form, but the pain went away after the 2nd week. I hope they can last for more than 400 miles.

I had transitioned from the NB 993 about a year ago to the NB 890V2. After a short transition period, I grew to love the 890. It was much lighter than the 993 and more stylish as well. I only run about 20 miles a week during training periods, and these shoes are perfect for my pace, gait, and running style.

The 890s I bought were made in the USA, like the 993s. When it was time to replace, I bought another pair of 890V2s off Amazon. Imagine my surprise when they showed up with a made in China label. NB says "To stay competitive and afloat in today's market some key changes in certain shoes were necessary in order to provide the best pair possible to serve it's specific purpose. We do appreciate the feed back, and you can be assured I have passed along your thoughts on our Made in the USA shoes." They still make about 25% or so of their shoes in the US, just not the 890s any longer.

All of that to say, I like the shoe and will likely look for another NB neutral that is made in the USA after this pair wears out.

I run approximately 6-10 miles per week. And I have always enjoyed the fit of New Balances. This shoe is no different. It's light, comfortable, and if it's like any of my previous New Balance shoes it will be durable. Not to mention it looks great! This shoe makes you feel like you're running on your toes, but that's exactly what I like. It may not be for everyone, but it's the feel I enjoy.

This is the second pare of Drew shoe's I have bought. I love these shoes. The shoe fits my foot like a glove and it very comfortable. This brand of shoes is the only brands I have found that are comfortable from the first day I put them on my feet. Most shoes hurt for a day or two but not these. I work in a restaurant so I am on my feet a lot so I need comfortable shoes. The last pair of Drew shoes allowed me to slip a lot on the wet restaurant floors, but not these. The company has fixed this flaw in their product. I still slip more than I would if I wore nonslip shoes but I chose to have a comfortable pair of shoes with a little slipping instead of uncomfortable and no slip. It just means I must walk a little more carfully on a wet floor. Just so you know I wear a 14 narrow and until I found this brand, I always had problems finding shoes that fit my feet well. I will continue to buy Drew shoes if they continue to make shoes this comfortable.

I purchase the Shape-up Walking Shoe first tried it for a month they were to help improve your health. The shoe are not good for walking up and down stairs. I'm senior citizen and found my balance harder to maintain on stairs. I live in beach house with 15 steps up & down not a good program for this shoe.(the shoe tilt a person forward) I then purchased Drew Shoe it is a lot better for going up & down stairs, and a very good walking shoe. Good support, I would suggest you try this shose if you are looking for a good Walking Shoe.

I love these shoes. I love their other shoes built on the same 401 platform. The fit is spectacular, and they have the right support. They are amazingly comfortable, and are built to last a while. I could go on and on about how life changing the discovery of shoes that fit and support is, but I won't.

If you try these shoes and you don't like them, try another shoe from Drew. They probably have something that you'll love.

Admittedly I did not buy from Amazon. I have bought other shoes from Amazon and have been satisfied. I see that Amazon has this shoe so thought I would contribute my 2 cents. It is a well built shoe. As other(s) have noted it is a HEAVY shoe. As one person stated it looks like a Frankenstein shoe its so big. I wear a 13 narrow; so in this shoes style that accentuates the oversized look. The shoe is NOT true to size. Maybe, in the shoe length.....13 but not in the width. I need a NARROW and these though they state narrow(B) they are too wide. I do better with Propet and Brooks and New Balance in the width sizing. If your foot is not too hard to fit then this shoe 'might' be OK. But if you are narrow and other hard to fit then I would not suggest this shoe.

My son loves the way the shoe feels while wearing them. We bought the big kids size 6. My son helped me write this review. Very breathable and his feet don't sweat much in these shoes. Good arch and heel support. Tread is somewhat aggressive and is great for outdoor wear (no slipping and sliding)and maybe not typical for indoor gym/basketball court. My son says these shoes help him run faster due to the tread. My son thinks the tread/ shoe could even pass for light duty hiking at the park. Stitching is good and lacing is nice and supportive especially around ankle. Outer 3 stripes are light reflective. Size runs true to size not a size smaller like the 'N*ke' brand. Cool look & design. The kids in his class really liked them too. Overall a great shoe at a very affordable price. We would buy again.

I have always been a person who appreciated good,quality shoes that performed at the price paid for them. Nike has seldom let me down over the years. Starting with the Air Jordans I have been consistingly pleased with the comfort, style, and performance of the Nike brand. At times I have been questioned by friends and family as to why I would pay more when I could get some other name brand, that had as much eye appeal as the nike, cheaper. The simple answer is that they are worth the difference. My latest 2 purchases have been the Air Maxes, the black leather, with green stripe, last year, and the black 2012 version. I don't buy them just for running but for casual wear also. For looks and performance they can not be matched. For the mall, or for the workout, I am rewarded by a shoe that meets and exceeds my highest expectations. I loved my zero drop trail roc 235 so I wanted a similar road running shoe. With one day of wearing them I ran 16 miles on these after a ten mile trail run. I had caught a couple of stumps on the previous run and my feet hurt at the outset. I was worried about finishing the days 50k effort but after 5 miles in these shoes my feet actually felt better. They're no frills neutral but have more rubber between your feet and the ground than most minimal shoes. No cushion but great protection. I was worried that the soft sole wouldn't last very long but they have little wear after my peak training week for an upcoming 50 miler.

I use my other Inov-8's for most of my CrossFit workouts because the Road-X Extremes are not designed for rope climbing, etc. But these are fantastic for running. Super light and comfortable, provide a great feel for the road and still provide adequate cushioning. The tongue is stitched to the shoe on one side to make sure it can get out of place.

This is a superb minimalist shoe which is immediately comfortable. This is my second pair of Inov-8s (with the first pair being the Bare-X 180s). The shoe fits well and is true to size. The toebox is not quite as big as other minimalist offerings, such as the Altra Samson or my last shoe, the Brooks PureDrift, but it is not too tight either. The build quality is just fine. The shoe is very, very light. I've done several weekday runs and a few long runs in it and have loved it so far. I haven't raced in them yet, but plan to soon.

It has a "burrito style" tongue rather than a true independent tongue.

I personally like the extroverted design, but it may not be for everyone.

At zero drop and zero cushion it is a perfect gym shoe, eventually I would love to run in these as well, but my legs and feet are not prepared for that yet. Because of the zero drop it allows for the ultimate level of stability when lifting because you can firmly plant your forefoot and heel into the ground at the same time. The Inov-8 "anatomic" shape is great because it has a much wider foot bed than their standard design, that allows for you to splay your feet and gain even greater stability.

These shoes have a very comfortable air cushion and are quite wide which I find increases stability. The price was much better online through amazon than in store. I also find the shoe is really helpful for me with my knees which are often sore after running, not so with these shoes. However I find the back of the shoe up near the heel crumples as I put it on (just one of the shoes) which I've never had happen with my running shoes so it's a bit of uneven workmanship. That said I will purchase this same pair once mine are done with.

I didn't buy these shoes for the "toning" claims. I knew that Reebok's "study" of their shoes toning abilities consisted of only 5 women on a treadmill. 5 women isn't a study. It's not even a Tupperware party. I bought them because I tried them on and they were insanely comfortable. My first run in them was fantastic, and I have to admit that it did seem as though my hamstrings and glutes were working harder. Unfortunately, after running in them for 2.5 weeks, I began to have intense pain in my calves and achilles. A quick Google search confirmed my suspicion that it could be the shoe. Then both my sports med doctor and the physical therapist I was referred to said they have lost count of the injuries they have seen from these and other toning shoes. I switched back to my tried and true Saucony's for running. I thought I could wear the Reebok's for errands, around the house, etc. After not wearing them for about a month, I put them on and had the same calf pain by the end of the afternoon. The two stars are because these shoes are very comfortable. Otherwise, knowing what I do now, I think Reebok needs to take the thousands of injury complaints more seriously. I suppose the class action injury lawsuit might help with that.

I buy stride rite shoes every summer for both of my boys and even though they run about a size big they are a fantastic shoe! I normally order children about a size smaller then their normal tennis shoe size and they have worked out year after year!

I bought these sandals for 3.5y/o son to wear on our holiday. They are very soft and spongy, excellent grip and perfect for wearing around the pool and to the beach. They are also fine as a general sandal (walking, playing etc).

Only downside is they are starting to smell a bit but I suspect that's normal in most summer sandals!

There is no support in these shoes. None. But you will find that your knees and hips ache much less than if you were wearing cushioned shoes. The soles and heels of your feet initially hurt a bit more as you get used to them, but the payoff is big in that there is so much less fatigue in the rest of your body right from the very beginning. I usually wear a US size 9.5/10 and a Euro 40. I ordered the 41, and they fit okay, but since I want another pair anyway, I'll order my next pair in the size 40.

I have been running in the Saucony Grid Ignition model for over three years. I have medium height arches and a neutral gait so all I require is cushioning and these shoes are very plush yet also very responsive. They don't sap your strength like some other well cushioned but unresponsive shoes can, like some Nikes I tried. These Grid Ignitions are the third version, the first were perfect, the Grid Ignition 2's gained a little weight and lost their arch support and were not true to size. These Grid Ignition 3's are once again perfect arch support, well ventilated and cushioned, light (about 10 1/3 oz size 8) and true to size. There seems to be a bit more memory foam in this new model's heel which should help prevent slippage and blisters. I paid $55 for these shoes with free shipping from Amazon and that is a bargain compared to the competent offerings from Asics, Brooks, New Balance and others.

overall the shoe is pretty decent, just the right front where the small toe is has a pinch area from where the vinyl comes across the fabric. Stretches over some time from wearing, but then I feel it again the next time I wear.

I've owned a few Saucony Grid series shoes, this has worked ok for me as a 20-25 mile/week recreational runner. They do seem to be sizing these a bit more snugly than before. I was able to manage by wearing thinner socks exclusively, but if I stick with this brand I might go a half-size up next time.

As for wear, it's about what you expect. Six months of heavy use and rotate them into the garden shoe bin.

I have worn so many Nike & Adidas running shoes in my life and have hardly ever found a pair that didn't cause me some kind of pain (knee, ankle, hip, shin), but I have now purchased my 3rd pair of UA shoes and all have been awesome. This new pair with the Micro G cushion is so light and springy that you can run for miles. The energy return rate from the Micro G cushion is phenomenal which really cuts down on leg fatigue! Will be a returning customer for certain!!
