I play a lot of basketball and my local gym, and I'm always on the lookout for a great pair of basketball shoes. I've always really liked the Adidas brand of shoes, so I tend to stick with them, and I'm glad I did. While I liked my last pair just fine, these are quickly becoming my favorite.

For one, the looks of this shoe are just stunning. The red lines on the shoe are really vibrant, the white is very bright, and the glossy black is great for hiding smudges on the toes. But, the thing I really love is the fit. In the past I've had to really fight to get my basketball shoes to fit the way I need them to. I wear a heavy ankle brace on my right ankle, so it's difficult finding shoes that will fit one un-braced ankle tightly enough, but still be flexible enough to squeeze a heavy brace into the other one. No problem with these. The inside of the shoe is soft and comfortable, and plenty tight on my un-braced left ankle. The right braced ankle fits nice and snug in the other shoe with no discomfort at all.

These shoes are absolutely fantastic if you're a basketball player, and you'll definitely have the best looking pair of shoes on the court.

Bought these last winter because my ultimate frisbee team practices on indoor basketball courts during the snowy months. Fit very well and provided good support for my ankles and good grip, which was especially helpful given that ultimate on hardwood floors can definitely increase the likelihood of twisted ankles. Plus, they're pretty affordable and look pretty sick as long as you keep them clean.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The look awesome and wear well. I already am ordering another pair. I have always liked Adidas shoes and these are some of their best. The scuffs dont show much and they look new for a long time.

I have purchased several pairs of this shoe and swear by adidas. I play ball 4 to 5 times a week and need a good comfortable durable shoe. This shoe is it. I do not get blisters and the front of the shoe is wide enough to not squeeze my foot. I have worn these into the ground...or basketball court. Each pair lasts me around 6 to 9 months playing 6 to 8 hours a week.

I bought a pair previously 4 months ago, and have discovered they are the only shoes I don't need another inside pad for support and cushioning. Leather that shines easily outside, good laces that look good, and sole that was made for walking and standing (normally, I can't stand for over a few minutes-but can in these.

So, I wanted a couple more pair and ordered them. UPS delivered them somewhere else, but customer service steered them and reported to me whereabouts. I'm delighted and am wearing one of the two, and saving the second new pair for "later." I try not to wear the same pair of shoes 2x in a row and have other shoes.

Being involved with our community, I attend many functions and am comfortable wearing these "tennis shoes" that look OK (not with a suit & jacket although as they are still "tennis shoes." Great work shoe and comfortable. I always use a shoe horn to put on all my shoes so the back doesn't get messed up.

This shoe style is the best work shoe I have purchased. They are comfortable and non skid, which keeps me safe at work. I highly recommended them, I have been wearing this particular style for about 7 years.

A couple of negatives, the thread at the top of the shoe frayes and because of the environment I work in, they only hold up for about 3 months.

All I'll say is, if you have either heel spurs or plantar faciitis, these are THE Sketchers that you need to get. Great comfort, and the slip resistance is a wonderful added bonus. Not the greatest looking, but I don't think you'll really care once you put them on. My go-to kicks!

Simply stated, I need a all white shoe/sneaker for my uniform, and deck shoes simply were hurting my feet with all the running about I have to do. So I went searching for an all white pair of runners and found these beauties! At first wear, I didn't know if I was going to like them, as they were tight and constrictive and very narrow towards the front. They do require a wear in period (about 3 days of solid wear), and the leather softens up to your foot and from that point on they are super comfortable. No more headaches at the end of the day from the impact my feet take running about the ship and they breathe really well so my feet don't stink either. Great purchase and I'm glad I got them.

I've bought shoes made in China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia...etc I've bought Rbk, Nike, Asics but nothing has left me as satisfied as these shoes. But it is not just the M996 alone that makes it a great product. It is the fact that it was made in the United States. You can feel the quality and also a sense of pride wearing them. I think I'm hooked for the rest of my life to pay a little more for a LOT more. It is worth the extra money. Good job New Balance! Your priorities are in line! I highly recommend these shoes or atleast similiar shoes made in the US!

This is a very comfortable shoe. It breathes well, as I have not noticed any sweating, which I have noticed with many other shoes I have recently owned. Also, it is nice to know that these shoes were made here in the U.S.A. Even if it is just a marketing exploit, it keeps at least some jobs where they are supposed to be. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

My only beef with these shoes are the laces! When all laced up, the ends are 19" long. Why in the world

do they equip them with such long laces? Nobody needs 19" to tie their shoe! Subsequently I need to triple

tie my shoes in order to not stumble over the long, dangling ends. Not very smart, if you ask me.

I wear a womans 10W... Usually, and by usually I mean always, when I wear a pair of shoes there is some sort of irritating pressure point. Not with these, none at all.. It's very hard to describe the feeling I had when I first put these on, it was as if I found the perfectly comfortable shoe.. And they hold up extremely well. I have had mine since last spring and have worked out in them for months on end, wearing these on almost a daily basis, washed them twice in the washing machine. These shoes were so comfortable right out of the box. I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit me the right way. I usually wear a size 5 1/2 6 in an athletic shoe. I got these in a size 6. Perfect. I will be using them for aerobic and step. They are very light weight.Wish I bought two pairs.

This is my second pair. First pair lasted 2 years. When these wear out I will buy another pair. I spend alot of time on my feet and my heels would hurt all the time. These shoes solved the problem.

Not as much cushion as I would have hoped as I wanted to use this shoe for zumba. It is very, very lightweight which is great but missing the cushion. Love the look and it feels good on my feet. Good show for artificial turf fields, well constructed, handles wet and dry conditions very well.

I am a big fan of ASIC running shoes and have found the fit and construction to be typically very good.

Down side on this product is the normal shoe is far too narrow. Had to up-size to 1/2 size larger and trim the cushion insert and stretch the shoe to get them to be somewhat comfortable.

If you have feet anything close to normal or wider than try to find a wider size.

ASICS have a reputation for running wide. My feet are very wide and I've had a terrible time finding boots that will work, so I bought these out of desperation. They run narrower than most Diadora shoes, but wider than Adidas. I wouldn't consider this very wide.

Beyond that I was actually rather unimpressed with the shoe. The quality and construction was more in line with a sub-$40 shoe, not a $90 shoe. It's not that it was terrible, I would just expect much better for the price.

I got these for my 11 year old. He is a slim build and has a slim foot and they fit him really well. He's usually a 4.5 foot but I got him size 5 because sizes between brands can be a bit all over the place, but in hindsight I probably wish I'd got a 4.5 because they are just slightly too big. So I wouldn't 'size up' at all if you buy these. The slightly bigger size is fine as he'll grow into them soon enough. But they are a very nice lightweight shoe and fit him really well. We've only just got them so am hoping they will last and be tough enough for what an 11 year old boy will do to them. They certainly appear well made and a quality shoe.

It's a well kept secret that kid's Kinvara has a larger heel-to-toe drop than adults', and it is a different build. Kinvara1 for kids was a good adaptation to kids' needs, but this pair is simply a different pair of shoes, and not exactly fast running shoes that we were looking for.
