I got these for my 11 year old. He is a slim build and has a slim foot and they fit him really well. He's usually a 4.5 foot but I got him size 5 because sizes between brands can be a bit all over the place, but in hindsight I probably wish I'd got a 4.5 because they are just slightly too big. So I wouldn't 'size up' at all if you buy these. The slightly bigger size is fine as he'll grow into them soon enough. But they are a very nice lightweight shoe and fit him really well. We've only just got them so am hoping they will last and be tough enough for what an 11 year old boy will do to them. They certainly appear well made and a quality shoe.

It's a well kept secret that kid's Kinvara has a larger heel-to-toe drop than adults', and it is a different build. Kinvara1 for kids was a good adaptation to kids' needs, but this pair is simply a different pair of shoes, and not exactly fast running shoes that we were looking for.

My son has wide feet and he hates shoes that fit too tight around his feet. These shoes let his feet breathe and he says they are very comfortable!!!

The shoes are great and fashionable. So lightweight too. It's just that I expected them to be a little bigger so he wears them longer but they are definitely worth it!
