this is a great walking shoe. I walk 5-20 miles a day & having these shoes has made all the difference. they absorb & shift shock well & are lightweight. I put pads in mine only cause I walk on a cement track such a great distance at times but for daily exercise of a few miles you should be fine without them, as they are well cushioned. also they are indeed true to size which I advize you get as you know any extra room may cause blistering. the mesh is durable & the color is fun ! I recommend.

I originally thought the sneakers were adorable, until I continuously wore them. As a result of wearing these sneakers, I have now developed Plantar Fasciitis. After developing this excruiciating foot pain (on the soles of both my feet), I thought perhaps I just needed an in sole or a heel cupwrong. The sole is made so thin. It provides absolutely no support.

I received them yesterday and put them on this morning. Feels like I'm still wearing house shoes. so lightweight and comfortable. They are bit wide in the toe box but I have wider feet than average. Will probably not fill well for those with narrow feet. the soles are not that high but flatter than the original design which is good because if have a tendence to turn my ankle at times with higher profile running shoes. May order another color.

Love saucony and used to use strictly for jogging; now with two artificial knees still prefer good ole saucony's for power walking; wider in the toe box and always very comfortable! should have sized up 1/2 but that is my fault!

These shoes aren't bad, they are stylish and solid for the most part, but I already have a hole in them and I have only had them less than a year. The last pair of workout shoes I had were nike and I had them for years until they started falling apart, but I also spent a little extra on them.

This review is mainly about sizing and shipping by the seller Shoezoo.

Before pulling the trigger on this pair of shoes, I did a bit of researching on the Nike Free shoes. Apparently, there are much complaint about its sizing, especially for this particular model, for being too small. Despite that, I still bought a pair in my regular shoe size (6.5). To be honest, I was nervous before they arrived but once I received and tried them on I was very pleased with my decision to buy this pair of shoes and in my regular size.

The fit was quite perfect as they nicely wrap around the entire foot. I had no problem with them being too narrow or tight. Rather, I'd say it is a better fitting shoe than most athletic shoes which have a lot of toe wiggling room thereby making certain exercises hard to do. The shoes, as they fit, make me feel like I am barefoot but with the tech support of athletic shoes.

As for the shipping, I was very very pleased with the speed for I have received them a couple of days after buying them, but I was not too fond with the way the shoes were shipped. The shoes were placed inside the original Nike shoe box; however, only a white plastic shipping bag was tightly wrapped around the box so some areas on the box was creased when it arrived. Nevertheless, because Nike shoe boxes are generally strong, despite the creases, this box did not get crushed or collapsed during shipping so the shoes were not damaged, and that is why this review still gets full stars.

I have been buying Puma sneakers for my 8yr old son for a couple of years thru Amazon. My son had a size 1 that had grown too snug. I wanted to go a little bit bigger so he would have room. They arrived and the size 2 fits well with some room but not too bulky. My son requires a lightweight shoe which these Puma's are. Easy to clean with damp cloth and all previous Puma sneakers held well, including the Velcro which was an issue with other name brands. Ordering another pair in different coloring.

I bought these on a bit of a whim, because I get bad ankles and planter fasciitis when I run and the research around barefoot running looked good enough for me to give them a go.

I love them! I have experienced initial muscle tiredness in my feet and ankles, but that just proves I'm using different muscles when I use them. When I'm wearing them I want to bounce and run. I'd far rather wear them than my running shoes. I even have arches now. I'm not yet at the stage where I can do all my running in them, but I want to be. I think I'll be buying a pair of KSOs or Flows for the winter too.

No issue with the vendor. The box they arrive in is really quite small. My only advice would be to measure your feet carefully. I did it approximately and they are slightly too big. They stay on, it's not a problem, just a note. I did go up a size after reading a couple of reviews saying they were tight. I think careful measuring may be the answer.

Basically I like to go barefoot, but cannot do so living in an urban environment. Obviously it hurts if you step on a sharp rock, especially on the heel, and can be dangerous if there is broken glass about. Also, you can't very well just waltz into any and all stores if you are barefoot because they don't seem to like it and have signs posted (No Shoes No Shirt No Service)... so I tried these shoes. I was lucky enough to live near a retailer so I was able to try on a few different sizes, which was great since my measurements put me between two sizes.

I love them. The first day I had them, I had to struggle for a few minutes to get my pinkie toe into the right spot but after that it got much easier. It truly is a liberating feeling, walking around outside, feeling somewhat barefoot but with the feet protected. I have read that people report improved posture and better arch-health (arch/foot pain diminishing, knee pain diminishing) with these shoes and I didn't believe it until i tried them. It's true, at least for me. I plan to start running in them soonI use the ChiRunning method/POSE running so I already strike midfoot to forefoot and for that running style they seem to be pretty good. I'm not saying they are for everyone, but they've been great for me. I'd say that if you enjoy going barefoot and don't like wearing "flip flops" then definitely try them. If you prefer to walk in shoes, you may find them strange.

7 Month Update: Still loving them. I've increased my running mileage from 4 miles to 8 miles, with no loss in "per mile time" and no injuries, except for a small, slight stress fracture that I was working on anyway before I got the V5F's. I do recommend that you also buy some Injinji socks to wear with your V5F's, because those socks make the shoes fit that much snugger and so there's less chance of a hotspot developing on your foot. Still highly recommended.

Overall, I think they are a great product that is fun to wear, at least for people who enjoy going barefoot anyway. The $80 price tag seems fair to me as well, since I've spent that much or more on every pair of running shoes I've ever had. The only reason I didn't rate them 5/5 stars is because of the colors. Simple as that. Shallow I know, but there it is.

These run true to size so the 13 I ordered is actually a 13... I am quite active doing a lot of cardioboxing, zumba, and strength training per week. As I have a high arch, I was looking for a pair of trainers with good cushioning, ankle support, and traction (to work out on slippery hardwood floors). I tried Nike Free Fit and New Balance Minimus and each was good in part, but not overall. The ASICS GEL-170TR did the trick. The first time I tried them on they felt right. The reason I'm not giving them full 5 points is that they are a bit heavy and thus not 100% comfortable when doing cardioboxing kicks. One more point: I read in other reviews that they run short. This wasn't the case for me. I have a normal width foot (medium) and I just purchased my usual size in trainers.

I have very wide feet. Even though I am a woman, I have tried men's shoes, and other extra wide women's shoes but have never tried ASICS. I got the widest size and they are still a little snug, but are definitely more comfortable than most of the athletic shoes I have purchased. I do like the support they give. If they were not as snug as they are, I would have given them a 5 star rating. Seems like I cannot get a shoe to fit the way I want, but these are absolutely better than most I have purchased.

I've been a New Balance fan for most of my life, but recently bought a pair of sneakers that just did not fit. I went back to the drawing board and selected these online (I got them directly from NB). I have wide feet and usually get a D width, which is what I got with this pair. I LOVE these shoes. They look nice enough that I can wear them with jeans, they are great for running, and I expect them to hold up nicely for hiking in the summer. A little rip did appear on one shoe after pretty exclusive and heavy wear for about seven months. They still seem waterproof, but it does suck that a hole wore in the fabric. I still wear them every time I play disc golf but wear other shoes now when I'm otherwise in public.

Bought these as a work shoe. I am on my feet for 10 hours a day on hardwood and tile floors so my legs a back are typically sore at the end of the day. Bought these to try to soften the impact of walking on the hard surfaces all day. I need to wear black shoes to work and these fit into dress code. The soles are very soft. After a typical work day my heels are very sore but after a week so far, these have not produced any soreness. I typically wear a size 8 in most shoes and wear an 8 in my Asics running sneakers but had to buy an 8.5 in these for proper fit. I have a slightly wide foot and they have a nice roomy toebox. They are very light weight which is nice but I wonder about long term durability. The arch support is moderate, I may get new insoles to add more support there. Nice sneaker so far.
