Bought this shoe for my son. It was very uncomfortable especially in the forefoot. The feaux leather banding around the instep and outsole has no flexibility or give. The forefoot in this shoe is also narrower than similar addidas models. Finally, he could not fit an ankle brace in through the shoe without completely unlacing the top two eyelets. So, we ultimately sent the shoes back. I would not recommend this shoe for athletes with a wide forefoot or those who require ankle braces due to past sprains. However, the look, sole structure, support system and other shoe characteristics met expectations comparative to the price of the shoe. Thus, it may be a good shoe for some players.

Prior to soccer season we went looking for some new soccer shoes for my daughter. The local sporting goods store didnt have any 1.5M in stock. So we ordered some online from the store after she picked out what she liked. After receiving the shoes we had to return them because they would not fit. My daughter has a wide foot. I ordered these with hopes they would fit for the upcoming soccer season. The shoes are a perfect fit. The shoes seem to be well made. As a coach, I know keeping shoes tied can be a real problem at game time but these have a velcro lace saver to help keep them tied while wearing them. Great shoes at a great price I would highly recommend them.

I bought a size 4 for my 7yo daughter, who is in a snug 3 and growing. As a former player, I would have chosen a softer leather in a smaller size (so it conforms to the foot better), but at this price, I assumed the leather would be a little stiff. I was right.

For the price, I think it is a good soccer boot. The cleats aren't too high for dry fields, but should provide decent traction on rainy days. The spacing of the cleats is decent if you want one shoe to cover all field conditions (too few can cause pressure on dryer fields and will eventually cause injury).

Basically, I would recommend this boot. It is for children and let's face it, they spend half the game running around in circles ;) Even the most competitive of children will be able to function in this shoe until about the high school level.

My 5 year old son wears these to his soccer practice and games. I purchased these in his current shoe size. My only advice is that the fit is snug when the soccer socks are on (the soccer socks then to be thick); if your child will be wearing the shoes for more than a couple months I would recommend trying a half size larger. Good thing soccer season is relatively short, otherwise, I think my son would quickly find these shoes too tight.

Our son wears a size 7 for toddlers. Boy am I glad we went with a size 8! It fits just right, not too big, not too loose. Keep in mind when ordering cleats they should have a snug (not tight) fit.

VERY happy with these shoes. We were looking for soccer shoes last minute, these weren't our first choice, but went with them and I am so glad we did. My 6 year old daughter loves them. I ordered a whole size bigger than her typical tennis shoe (I was aprehensive about ordering online without her trying them on), and I am grateful I did. I think they run about 1/2 size smaller than typical. They are good quality, comfortable, and super cute. They look so much nicer in person than the picture. I bought these silver on black New Balance 740 size 4's at the start of the '10 school yr for my actve 7 year old 2nd grade boy. Within the 2nd week of school in Aug, the soles separated and chunks started carving out from the bottoms of both shoes. By the middle of Sept, the rubber pieces were flapping from the sides and the bottoms were down to mostly foam on the balls of both feet. As compared to other New Balance kids shoes, these turned out to be the most poorly made and held up the least of all that we've owned (and I've got 3 boys, and my husband and I are both runners). Although the colors are cool, I do not recommend these shoes.

I have always had problems finding shoes to fit my wide foot. I have had New Balance shoes for the last two years now because they always carried wide shoes in my size 10, but they weren't comfortable. I had shin-splints after walking and/or running, blisters, and sometimes even backaches after exercising. From the moment I put on these shoes, they were comfortable! They are a little wider than I need, but I've never been able to wear a thicker sock with the New Balance, so this works out for me. I have now been wearing these shoes for two weeks and have no shin-splints, backaches, blisters, or other shoe-related issues that I had before. In fact, I ordered a second pair in a different color that I will be reviewing, too.

Cheap ASICS Men's GEL-170 TR Leather Training Shoe

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable. Two years ago CR rated the Asics TR-150 as a best buy. I bought 2 pair of the TR-150's right before I saw the article(total chance) and was very happy with them. I'm a nurse and am on my feet 9-10 hours a day, and one pair were the shoes i wore to work. These are the new version of the 150's and i couldn't be happier. Look great feel GREAT!

If the 150-tr was avaialable I would have gotten another pair of those, I liked them (fit/finish/wear). With +/a month of use I'm happy with the 170-tr too and would get these again. Overall, 150-tr to 170-tr, if you liked one you should be happy with the other IMHO.

The upper toe (still "leather", not mesh, and a little longer), the tongue and the lace area are very similar. There is a bit less padding on the 170 interior up around the achilles/ankle area, OK though as it feels a little more snug or narrow and more support compared to a well used pair of 150. The inner and arch appear the same. The sole has a different design, similar tread at the toe to ball of foot, the heel tread is a different pattern with a change in proportion of the material color, of course don't know if the densities are different or just the color. Feels the same walking/jogging.

Fast forward to 2006 when I purchased my first pair of Asics tennis shoes. They fit well and quickly became my favorite shoes to wear. I liked them so much I purchased a second pair to have "just in case". Well, as luck would have it my second pair fell victim to a deck project and became covered in stain and I needed a new pair. I looked to find the same type of shoe that I had but had no luck. I knew I wanted a leather tennis shoe and I wanted it to be an Asics brand. I searched Amazon and found the Gel-170 Leather Training shoe. I was dubious at first because it wasn't all leather, it had synthetic leather components (I'm not a fan of synthetic leather). Well, they were Asics and the price was right, so I thought I'd give them a try. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised! They fit really well (as I'd hoped they would) and are super comfortable. I have had no trouble with them and would recommend them to anyone who asked. I do plan on ordering another pair when these need replaced.

Ideal volleyball shoes are light weight, flexible and easily move with your foot. I put these on and they literally felt like a slab of card board under my foot. I used adidas volleyball shoes in the past and loved them! These felt like basketball shoes... heavy and bulky and stiff. Not what you need on a volleyball court. I got the ASICS Gel-Rocket 6 next and those are just what I wanted!

Conclusion: not worth your trouble. before every putting this shoe on my foot, I knew they would have to be returned. I hoped the only available review was wrong but now I have to agree. I ended up buying the Mizuno Rally 7 in black and I am very happy with them.

Ive been buying these boots for about two years now, and the only reason I kept going back and purchasing them was for the fit/comfort. No break in period for these boots the fit great right out of the box. I work in road construction, and these boots do not hold up. They are good for about four months of hard work then they just start to fall apart. The steel toe wears through the leather, the stitches on the sides pop, and the soles wear out faster than cheap tires on a dragster. Ive probably spent at least 600 dollars over the past few years on these boots, and now Ive switched to a more expensive better warrantied boot. If you want a temporary boot that looks good and fits great these are for you, but for around fifty more dollars you can get yourself something that will last a lot longer.

BareBones did a great job in accommodating me. The first pair of shoes had a defect, which I discovered after wearing them. Returned them for an exchange. They even reimbursed me for return shipping. However, upon receipt of the second pair, discovered the same defect. They don't make the shoes so I blame Timberland for that, but Barebones could have more closely scrutinized the second pair.

In any case, overall, everyone I talked to was very professional and accommodating.

I have owned these shoes for about 6 months now and am absolutely pleased with the make and quality its a BMW of the shoes!

Great styling is why I bought the shoes for but it surprised me in other perfornamce avenues for e.g. its simply great in the snow. Its very light for its size and very comfortable to wear for long hours. It is water resistant like they claim.

Overall, expensive shoe but you get what you pay for, a great buy for those who need it or want it just for the styling.

By the way, I bought the shoes at Sears and it was a great experience, they even exchanged the shoe for a different size few days later without issues.

Back "in the day" I'd run 40 miles a week in these. Many years later age has reduced me to a gentle 1 mile stroll. But since the shoe first came out Saucony has maintained a consistent last that ensures the same fit regardless of how the style and sole have changed.

The fit is a little wider than other brands and this is ideal for me. The cushioning is excellent and although I have mild supination (weight on outside of foot) I've never had foot or knee problems.

The soles and uppers wear well and the style has always been to my taste.

I won't buy anything else

My husband is an avid runner and I bought these shoes for him for Christmas, then again recently (I bought two pairs this time), as he needed to change the last pair. He says he's extremely pleased with them and that they're comfortable, have great support and are quite durable. He runs about 8-10 miles five days a week and then does a long run of about 20 miles on a Saturday and he hasn't had any problems at all with the shoes getting worn out too soon. He says he would highly recommend them.

The New Balance ML 574 Sneakers have a lot going for them, as running shoes. This is at least the 6th pair I have bought. They have wide toe boxes so I am able to insert custom orthotics. They have good suede uppers that I can lace to get a snug fit. The sneakers have higher more cushioned heels compared to many other running shoes. This makes them good for running downhill absorbing shock. The shoes also have good forefoot cushioning. I have had good traction with the shoe in all conditions (except ice) because of the waffle style sole. Overall, the shoes offer good cushioning and stability. The outer sole wears quickly so applications of shoe compound should be used to maintain the original thickness. Without this addition of rubber to high wear areas, the shoes may lean at the heal (in my case out) causing the shoe to have a lopsided look and feel. This can lead to ankle, knee, and hip pain. I have noticed that when the shoes are used for walking, this wear and leaning tendency occurs much more quickly than when they are used only for running. I use ML 574s for running for the first 500 miles, then only for walking. The comfort of the shoes and the ability to modify them with orthotic inserts is worth the time it takes for maintenance, only a few minutes a day. Another great factor is that New Balance is a U. S. company that sells their high quality shoes at lower prices than imports.

I was pretty excited when I got these, considering it's hard to find shoes in my size (15E). They looked fantastic, and they were comfortable when I put them on.

Unfortunately, my pair did not last. I've had them for a little over two months. Mostly on the left shoe, but holes have opened on the interior side, near the toe. My foot isn't exposed as there is a layer beneath the outer "velvet" layer, but it makes the shoes look trashy and who know where the damage will go from here.

I am also not hard on my shoes. While I'm a bigger guy, most of my time in these shoes is spent either walking or sitting (no running, walking through liquids, etc).

With only a 30-day return policy, I'm out the money at this point. Disappointed.
