Most shoes produced for women are abnormally narrow, even the so-called "wide" widths. These are not--there is plenty of room in the toe box. If (like me) you don't like having your feet squished, these shoes are a good choice.

One note: the photo (at least on my monitor) makes the color of the mesh appear darker than the suede trim; it's not. (Not a problem for me.)

I love these shoes! I go running in the every morning. They provide enough support so the concrete doesn't hurt my feet and they are in no way restrictive.

These are ultra light and comfortable and I like wearing them to jog in but if you're used to high arch support and heel cushion they'll feel weird to you, and if you have bad knees or other issues you might want to consult an orthopedist to see if these are the right shoe for you.

I liked the fact that this shoe really lets my foot flex naturally for a barefoot feel. I also liked the fact that it is light and quiet as a mouse on a hard floor. I have a narrow foot, so unfortunately this shoe felt sloppy and clumsy on me. It is quite a bit like a slipper! My biggest issue really was the fit. It's also not the most feminine shoe you'll wear, as this style is more like a man's shoe. I am a 10 and the 42 fit in length but unfortunately was way too wide. Amazon processed my return almost immediately, so I am very pleased with the process overall.

With non-barefoot-style shoes, I was never able to run for more than a minute (interval) at a time, (even if I trained religiously for a whole year) because of shin splints. If I pushed myself any more than that, the shin splints got so bad, I couldn't lift my feet. One person once asked (in jest, because she knew about this) if I was doing my cool-down already. I even had dreams of trying to run and constantly being held back by an unseen force. I had long ago decided that running just isn't for me. Then I bought a pair of Vivobarefoot Evas. After no more than 8 sporadic runs, I was up to running half an hour at a time! And I can't wait for the next run!

Also, they're light, great for everyday use (if you don't mind answering a lot of questions), and breathable.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes! They are the most comfortable I've worn....nice and flexible, all the benefits of barefoot without the dangers. However, I am disappointed with the wear of the sole. I've lived in them now for three weeks (I wear them to work every day and am on my feet for long hours), and the sole is showing a great deal of wear already. And that's from INSIDE wear, so I'd hate to see what happens if you actually use them for running outdoors. I've worn them both with and without the sock insert, and both ways, my feet tend to sweat. I guess I just need to wear socks with them to prevent that. I wish they were less expensive so I can buy them for the rest of my life and wear nothing but these, but I can't replace them every 2-3 months because the sole material won't hold up.

As with any barefoot shoes, it is an adjustment to go from heavily supported athletic shoes to unsupported "barefoot." Start off by wearing these around the house for a short time, walk around in them. Personally, I still just wear them for walking and daily use I am not a runner. But if you do like to run, make sure you take time to adjust to walking in them before running. I love the large toe box. My feet are happy in these.

This shoe is very flat and you can feel everything you step on. It is very much like being barefoot. These are perfect for the river . You would have to be cautious if where you walk or run in them of sharp objects. I enjoy them for summer play.

I just bought this shoe to replace a early model vivo barefoot shoe which had a great sole and was very comfortable but was falling apart on the vamp after a year of sporadic use (Most weeks 0 miles, some weeks max 15 miles.)This new shoe is $90 less than the earlier model so I was willing to forgive some durability for the price. However it's actually just the same material as Crocs (top and sole)and after only three weeks there is noticable wear on the sole and I have received a puncture wound on my foot from an acacia thorn penetrating the sole. I would like to see a barefoot shoe that has both a durable vamp and sole. I'm already planning to buy another replacement for these replacements, probably Merrells this time. Also, goodness the honeycomb design is horrible about letting debri in.

I run in NB 880s for runs under 8 miles and NB 1080s for runs over 8 miles. I have no problem at all up to about 9 miles then my feet start hurting in the 880s where as in the 1080s they don't. So I use my 880s for the short days to save a little money and they are perfect for that.

I recently replaced my New Balance 759s with a new pair of 880s and I couldn't be happier. The 880s felt great out of the box and extremely comfortable throughout my first 20 miles. They provide a nice, stable platform and have the right balance between cushioning and support. (I tried the NB 890 but the sole isn't as wide and didn't seem as stable to me.)

The redesigned upper on the 880 seems to fit my mid-foot better and be more secure than the 759s and it feels like the 880s are a bit lighter as my pace has improved about 10 seconds per mile over the 759s. My only complaint is that it feels like the cushioning in the heel of the 880 is not as soft as the 759s as I've had some heel pain during my runs. I'll see if this diminishes over time or not.

Overall, if you are looking for a comfortable, durable neutral trainer you can't go wrong with the 880s.

We have always had problems simply finding shoes wide enough that fit our son, and have been forced to buy shoes 1.5-2 sizes bigger length just to squeeze in by width. After many, many, many failed shopping trips in pursuit to find a shoe, any show that fit, we went online and stumbled upon these in Extra Wide. Took a leap of faith and gave them a shot. Wow!!!

The XW are indeed really wide, so wide it's quite noticeable right out of the box. New Balance is the only sneaker company we can find that actually makes XW shoes for older toddlers, young boys this wide. The sneakers appear to be made quite well, good stitching, good feel, nice tougher sneaker soles.

For those of us who struggle mightily to find shoes wide enough, we strongly suggest buying in XW & stay true to your little one's shoe size in length. This is the only pair of shoes we have ever found in his 4+ years of life where we were able to stay true to length.

The selling point for these guys is YES, they are indeed wider than anything you can find in stores, almost to the point of being abnormally wide, and lets be honest, some of us have kids with abnormally wide feet. The sneakers are comfortable, true to size, well made, & no complaints of hurting feet. As far as design/style, I personally think it's blah, nothing to awe about, but then again we're just giddy to find a shoe that finally fits width-wise.

I don't do reviews, but my experience with this shoe has been bad and that motivated me. You don't feel any cushion beneath your feet. Probably it was meant that way. It has been only a couple of months before I bought it, but I will have to buy a more comfortable running shoe. Surprising that it is a Reebok shoe, because it doesn't feel like one when you run.

I haven't even used it for running purposes, just for work, still the wearing off.

Reebok shoes generally lasts longer but not this one, I think the net material is flimsy.

At first the price kept me away and I bought a less expensive and heavier Ecco trail shoe which I love in a dazzling red and black Gortex but several months later I needed another pair. The Bioms were on sale right after Christmas and I feel they're the best gift I could ever give my feet, legs, and stature. No more rocker soles ever. I'm so screwed up from them. The Biom GTX is the best incredibly light weight, love the pink and black. I bought a size up my normal size seemed too snug and everything is right heel height, arch placement, toe box, width. I wear them for every day, do a lot of stairs, and a lot of dog walking. Mostly attracted to the support. Amazing shoe. Telling everyone about them.

Bought for my wife and she won't take them off. Best shoe ever purchased. They fit formed to the foot with lots of comfort and support built into the design. Okay they are a little snugged on the top of the foot. But when it was 6 degrees outside with snow on the ground these shoes were freaking AWESOME! I gave this particular Reebok a try because I really don't care for the look of the regular zig tech shoe. This is, by far, the most comfortable running shoe that I have used. First day of use, I set the treadmill for a brisk pace and intended just a quarter mile to see how they would feel. After a while I checked the monitor and saw that I had gone past a half mile. I own a pair of vff kso's and I never used to enjoy running until I got The vibrams. The vivo barefoot shoes had to live up to very high expectations going in. That said the shoes performed very well. I enjoy running in the shoe, however I might have gotten a half size too big. They're not heavy shoes but with the kso's I'm a minute faster on average. I think I'll be using these for everyday use and occasional running. But I'll be sticking with the kso for everyday running

i love vivobarefoot shoes. i own over 20 pairs -a bit addictedfor all occasions and then some and in lots of colors. besides wearing dress shoes for work or special occasions, i only wear vivos/terraplana shoes. i find the shoes super comfortable and durable. for me, what sets vivos apart from the crowd is style. vibrams look too odd. merrells and new balance too plain and typical. vivobarefoot standout and appear well conceived. i often receive compliments and people inquire about the shoes. they get design. whenever i slip on my vivo's i just feel like running or jumping around. for some reason, it seems to infuse me with energy.

the evo II's: vivobarefoot understands style. i like these in the winter because of the additional lining versus the evo III or original evo. i.e., these breath less and perhaps a bit warm in the summer. i wear these for all occasions -running, crossing training, trail running, hiking, and out on the town to dinner or dancing. the sole offers super traction on most surfaces -even on grass. sizing is a full size small. i normally wear 13ee/14 US or 48/49 in euro sizing. in vb, i wear 48 or 15 according to vb sizing. i also own quite few in 47 too -though they fit snug. i got these in the red color. they've become one my favorite vb's -especially for winter. highly recommended. i expect that vb will continue to lead the market in design.

These are the first pair of barefoot shoes that I have purchased, these are also the reason why I transitioned. I have been using them for an entire week now and they are truly a great pair of shoes. My work-outs consist of mainly running 3-5 miles a day and with the first run I could really feel the difference my posture has improved, I feel as if I have a bit more endurance, and I really do feel as if I am running barefoot. Discount Mizuno Men's Wave Enigma 2 Running Shoe

I used my regular size (11) with the 1st Enigma, it was snug and I could bearly put orthotics. This time I took a half size higher and it feels much better. When I compare my Enigma 2 size 11.5 to my NB 1080 size 11, the NB is still longer at 0.5cm or so! I don't understand why Mizuno size their shoes this way, I guess in Japan and China people have small feet in general, so it's not worthwhile offering high sizes.

The upper is better than in the 1st Enigma, less tight. The shoe is more flexible either. I am going to buy Nimbus 14 in the near future, so I may add an update which one feels better to me.

Anyway the Enigma 2 is a better value for money than my old NB 1080, that's for sure. Just beware sizing, if you're new to Mizuno.

Additional thoughts:

The Enigma shoe is Mizuno's answer to lightweight runners who want a premium neutral shoe, but can't bear the stiffness of the Creation\Prophecy. I think, Instead launcing so many color styles for the Creation (???), Mizuno should launch a 2nd version for the Creation\Prophecy, with softer plastic struts. This way lightweight runners like me could have enjoy these models too. In general, the Wave technology is nice in theory, but why its implementation must be with such stiff plastic? I think the NEXT STEP for Mizuno is finding better\more flexible material for the plastic struts of the Creation\Prophecy. They use the same meterial for ages.

Update: after 6 weeks they just doesn't feel great, I can't really explain (although the heel protection is the best I've found yet in a shoe). I'm currently looking for other brand.

already tried: Glycerin 10 \ Nimbus 14 which both are too soft therefore not great for long training runs. Vomero 7 no heel protection, & overall feels cheap.

The prefect shoe, by my terms, would be a stiffer Nimbus 14. The sad thing is, that each company doesn't try to learn from its competitiors and just stick to their old comfort zone.

I have been running for over 30 years and this time was my first time foray to buy running shoes online. I have use the Mizuno unline tool to analizy my foot and have recomend one.

I have been very happy with the recommedation as the shoes fits perfectly and looks like a very high quality made.

On the recommendation of another online user I have chosen a half size bigger which was a grea decesion. With Mizuno you have a choice of with and I would recommend middle with or wide as the shoes is a narrow fit.

I love the color and the lacing is fantastic, the shoe laces just the right lenght and they will not untigh in the middle of you run

The price was for me very much cheaper online than in the shops even with freight and having recived it less than a week is a amazing feat from Amazon

This is an average shoe, for an average runner that I do like, but I do not use this shoe all the time. This is a harder shoe that is not as soft as I was hoping for like the Wave Rider and less cushion than the Vomero. So, I would not recommend this shoe not because it is a bad shoe, but because its not what I was looking for.

I like my Nike Vomero (long pavement pounder) and Mizuno Rider 15 (speed/cadence runs). My info: 43 y/o 180 lbs, 6 feet and marathon time is under 4 hrs.

Great shoes, these. I have a neutral foot, high instep, and run on the balls of my feet. Average three marathons, 1 ultra, and several half-ms and 10s a year. Used to wear Nike zoom vomeros because of their cushion, but they seemed to lack firmness. After a fitting at the local running store, I was told the vomeros were the right shoe, but if I wanted to try another, the Mizuno Enigma would work for me. No truer words e'er spoken! These are fabulous-comfortable cushion, a good platform for springing, and relative lightness. My only complaint is that the tread doesn't last as long as I might have hoped. Otherwise, I think these are terrific for high mileage, and I will certainly be sticking with them in the future.

I received my shoes when promised BUT they were used! The soles had the outside elements on the bottom of the shoes! Pieces of dirt & you could tell they were worn already! I called the company which they offered a 30% credit to my account which I approved. They told me the credit would show the next day which was a Friday. I checked my account the following Monday & no credit! Tried calling the company but no answer & no return call. I decided to return the shoes when I was asked to revise my negative comment! I cannot revise the truth! If I received a used/worn pair of shoes how can that be revised! The company told me they couldn't credit my account on the weekends and said I should have been patient! THEY should have never promised a credit the next day if they couldn't do so! FYI: I found these same shoes elsewhere for $80!!!!! Don't buy from this company!!!!
