As mentioned. I have been looking for a pair of new mizuno spikes for a long time and this was definitely a great buy for me. However, there was a blue pen marking on the side of the spike which was not a good thing but not a deal breaker nonetheless.

I had been looking at a few different options for some new running shoes. I was drawn to the Under Armour brand and had heard some good things. I bought these back in July 2013 and by September 2013 I had to get a completely new pair of shoes. I really gave these shoes a chance, I knew they were new and needed to be broken in a bit. Even after giving these shoes a few weeks to be broken in they were awful!! Here's why:
1. The left shoe for whatever reason was very heavy on my foot (I sounded like Frankenstein when I walked in them) and my friend confrimed this while we were walking to the gym. I have never experienced anything like it.
2. Way too tight! I ordered the right size and had even gone to a store to try them on first, before ordering. The ones in the store felt ok, but not the ones I ordered here.
3. The final straw was when I went for a short walk with my b/f and dog, about three miles. Both feet got shredded!!! This was after all those weeks of breaking them in. The back part of the shoe comes up so high it pretty much rubbed my achilles area raw. I was bleeding terribly after the walk (like literally blood pouring down from the area on both legs), the wound was so bad I couldn't go to the gym for at least three weeks because it hurt so bad.
I went out and just bought a completely different brand and made sure the back part didn't come up so high (and that the left foot didn't weigh down either). I don't know if that design serves a purpose, but it seemed unnecessary to me, it certainly didn't seem to give more support or anything.
Overall I am angry! I can't believe I had to pay this much for a pair of shoes so they could injure me and then have to go out and buy a whole new pair within like a month and a half.

Love the colors, the shoe is really bright. I gave them a 4/5 because even after trying to break them in, the back of the shoe is really hard so it rubs unless you wear taller socks.Best Deals on Under Armour Women's Spine Venom Running Shoe
Cute running shoes (I purchased the black and green ones with pink laces), offer pretty good support for my feet (I've heard others buy better insoles for the shoes), and is breathable. Runs a little narrow width-wise, but the length is true to size. The worst part about these shoes is that the back of the heel is pretty high, and I was getting blisters on the back of ankles after walking in them for an hour. They definitely take some patience to break into.Honest reviews on Under Armour Women's Spine Venom Running Shoe

I have had three pairs of the Salomon Sense. They were great...except. Except after just a few hundred miles they were trashed. Signs of wear showed up early. Things like toes pushing through mesh, midsole compression and outsole delamination showed up, in varying degrees beginning after only the first 100 miles. So along comes the Sense Ultra. The midsole is denser and is holding up better. No signs of delamination. A bit of extra reinforcement around the toe area will help there. The rock "plate" had been extended. Overall, for me, this is a better shoe. I like the ride better as well. The outsole has more lugs over a broader area which helps with traction on a broad range of surfaces.
Have since bought 3 more pairs and feel I have found my shoe.

Fits like a slipper and light-weight. Definitely the best race shoe I have found. Do not buy if you're looking for a shoe to last you for the next 6 months. That's like taking an F1 car solo for a trip across America. You should know what you're buying. High performance means a sacrifice of features, in this case longevity. Had mine 6-8weeks before the fabric next to the toes started splitting. Doesn't really bother me (Air vents!), I still wear for every run and could easily sew up, but for fussy light-weights this is probably a deal-breaker.Have since bought 3 more pairs and feel I have found my shoe.

Awesome shoe, I did my first 50 miler in them with no trouble and I love running in them. However, they do fit snugger through the mid-foot than most people will be use to and after 100 miles on the shoe the cushioning is showing signs of wear and/or compression. In all, I'm a huge fan of the Salomon brand and the great energy spent in the design of their products, it really shows through when out on the trails.Buy Brooks Men's Addiction 9 Road Running Shoe

Best shoe I ever found. I've had 15 pair of Brooks Addiction in 15 years. Wear out a pair a year walking. I have straight not curved feet and this straight lasted shoe is the only shoe I can wear anymore. The super thick soles absorb all shock, and the shoes are light as a feather.

The Addiction 9 is a great shoe for over-pronators. The only reason I rated a 4 instead of a 5 star was the wearing of the soles. I am a heel stricker and have always been tough on the heels. But the Addiction 7 soles never presented a wearing problem for me. The 8 & 9 models evidently have some different sole material. Brooks has not answered my question concerning the issue. Bring back the Addiction 7 soles and slap it on the Addiction 9! I will log about 1800 miles this year and try to change the shoes every 500 miles. My current pair is at 300 miles and the heels are badly worn. Amazon did their usual great job of getting the goods to me before the expected arrival date!Best Deals on Brooks Men's Addiction 9 Road Running Shoe
I have had these shoes for only 6 months and I don't wear them daily. It is very dissapointing that they have developed a hole where the mesh meets the front of the shoe. I have 2 other pairs of Addiction Walkers and they have been excellent. These shoes are comfortable and true to size, but they clearly lack durability for a $100+ shoe.Honest reviews on Brooks Men's Addiction 9 Road Running Shoe
Great shoe at a reasonable price. If you have flat feet or fallen arches, give this shoe a try for walking or jogging. My knee pain and anke pain completely went way. I figured that after having these shoes for a year, it was time to write my review. I personally get tired of reading reviews where the owner has only had them a few weeks, or worse a few days. For me, it is how it holds up over time. Overall these are fantastic shoes. I cannot give them a five for one reason, mine make noise. They made noise ofter only a couple of days. I think it is from the stabilizer bar. It is not a lot of noise, most of the time you don't even notice it. However, it is very noticeable when you walk through a library, which I do often. That is my only issue. These were comfortable straight out of the box, and still are. I know these are running shoes, but I wear them daily. I am also a big guy, 6' and 275lbs. I am very hard on shoes. These have help up very well. I ordered them last August and I currently have them on my feet. I have recently ordered another pair of Brooks shoes to replace these. I am keeping them however to do yard work. They are starting to have holes wear in the mesh around my pinky toes. This wear is great considering that I literally where them every single day. The stabilizer works great. After a year of usage there is almost no difference in the way my foot gets planted as I walk. The mesh is nice too, very cool in the summer. However, it also lets the cold air through if you wear them in colder climates (not a complaint, just saying). I also still have the original laces in them. This is a little thing, but it is good to know that the laces that come with the shoes lasted me over a year with daily use. Despite the wholes rubbing in the mesh, these are too good to throw out, hence them being yard work shoes now. If their other shoes are as good as these, then Brooks has found a loyal customer. Overall, these are very good shoes, and well worth the price.Nevados Women's Approach V4159W Hiking Boot Reviews

I was really hesitate about buying shoes without trying them on, but, like most of the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. I live in the mountains and do a lot of hiking. I wanted a lighter shoe then my hiking boots. They have really paid off. I had previous foot surgery and was a little concerned about good width. No concerns. length and width and weight were as hoped. No can't go wrong with the price too.!

At least I'm saying the shoes have helped my game as when I started wearing them is when the improvement occured! They fit so nice I wear a size 10 and I find that some shoes are a bit short for my foot not the case with these. They are a true size 10 and fit fantastic! So I ordered a size 13 of these shoes and they arrived timely as I always expect from Amazon. However, when I tried to slip them on they barely fit and hurt my feet. I immediately removed them and sent them back. Every other shoe I wear is a size 13, but it appears I would need a 13.5 or 14 men in order to have these shoes fit. Consumers may want to make note of this and try a half size or full size larger to compensate.
Secondly, while these are black Skechers, with a big white S on the side, they look slightly different than the picture. The picture seems more gray than black, and the three dark stripes that run from the top to the bottom of the shoe aren't on mine. I do like the way mine look though, and I love the fit. I wear them with a pair of black/gray Gold Toe socks, which just show about a half inch out of the shoe. Just high enough so the back of the shoe isn't on my achilles.
I am definitely a big fan of Skechers now, they fit my slightly wide foot much better than the more expensive Nikes or New Balance. Each of which I have tried.
the loops that the shoe laces are run through started unraveling and coming out of the shoe, making lacing the shoe impossible! this happened on both pairs of my black Skechers Men's Stamina Nuevo Sneakers. I also have a grey pair and a blue pair. that have been unaffected by these problems. It seems that Skechers is not keeping up on quality control as much as they used to. that's too bad this used to be a great company (they used to give you a second pair of laces when you bought shoes) it sucks that they have quit that practice also.
now I have to start looking for a new cross training shoe company that can produce a product that lasts more than a few weeks!!!!!!

Firstly, I already owned a pair of similar shoes in white. I like to walk a lot, and these were extremely comfortable and durable. So I decided to try this pair in black to use in the gym, especially on my weight lifting days. I really love the the width of the bottom of the shoe. This really provides great balance and stability when I'm doing squats or dead lifts.Secondly, while these are black Skechers, with a big white S on the side, they look slightly different than the picture. I have used sketchers for many years and they always used to have a good durable product. But I bought two pair of Skechers Men's Stamina Nuovo Sneakers for the gym and they started having problems in the first few weeks. I love t run and also to try the different brands and models. I have been running with Mizuno lately but this model it's very heavy. If you walk or run short distance is fine, but if you run long, you should try lighter ones like wave nirvana o wave creation. I'm also a size 9 in adidas, asics, etc. but here (with all the mizuno) I'm a 9 ½. I run 15 -20 miles or more every other day.

ASICS Men's GEL-Kayano 19 Running Shoe Reviews

I used to be an avid Gel-Kayano user, but for some reason I strayed from the path. For the past few years I have used other brand named running shoes. I needed a new pair of shoes and realized that I should get the latest pair of the Gel-Kayanos, the 19.
After getting these shoes, I realized something. I am an idiot for leaving these shoes.
Putting them on for the first time, I thought that they would be too firm. But once I started my run, all insecurities were gone. There is a reason that this is the 19th version of this shoe, it's fantastic.
The ride is great, the look is eye catching (lime green trim!) I'm a larger runner, and the feel and support of this shoe is great. I will never stray from the Gel-Kayano again!
Update: 12/11/2012
Just bought my second pair...can't get enough of this shoe.
So far so good. Just got the new 19s because I was starting to get shin splints in my right leg/ankle in my older 18s shoes.
I weigh 215ish lbs and run about 90+ miles a month 6.5miles at a time. I'm sharing my size and routine because my 18s only lasted about 5 months till I started getting shin splints, and heard weight/mileage to be a contributing factor.
The 19s feel more light weight, more "grippy" (maybe because they are new), and It feels as though the shoe is correcting my role onto the outer edges of my feet more. Not in a weird way where I feel like Im going to roll my ankle or anything.
I have not experienced arch issues in these shoes yet and no burning sensations like I've read in some of the few negative posts which made me look for the 18s in stores but decided to try the 19s anyways.
I did go a half size up this time to 11s. They felt better, hope I dont regret it later. I also like that Asics is putting some love into the Kayano design/aesthetics a bit more and hope to see more. I like a flashy shoe for athletics, the neon green highlights is a nice touch.

I don't think there's a reason to look anywhere else. At 5'11" and 185lbs, this shoe gives me the perfect amount of structure without being too cushioned (like the Nimbus). The shoe is incredibly comfortable and light and IMO gives a great ride that lets me feel what I'm running on, which as a quiet runner is perfect. I've been running in Kayanos for years and the only thing I'm guilty of is pushing the upper limit of miles before getting a new pair but these things just wear so well for you that you don't want to give them up. I wouldn't run in anything else but Asics and you get what you pay for so why not invest in a great pair of shoes for your body. As a foot note, I've got the Black/Lightning/Blue color and they look damn sharp offering some flavor without sticking out like a safety cone :)Best Deals on ASICS Men's GEL-Kayano 19 Running Shoe
Kayanos have been the "go-to" running shoe for me since the 14s. I was rolling my ankles every run with Nike Shox, lacking comfort in Solomons, and the only shoe that gave me ease of mind and way less pain has been my Kayanos. So far so good. I've been buying the Asics Kayan0 line for many years. I've had the 16, 17, 18, and now, 19's. This one is definitely one of the better ones and I am very pleased with them. If you read some of the running websites, the reviews are that the last couple of models were better but I disagree. They may not be quite and structured with the same support but they are close. Actually, I find with a little less support and more cushion, I get a better and more comfortable run. I'm 5'9 170# so not necessarily a "runners build" and usually need a more supportive shoe but I find this one is just right. I'd definitely recommend them and will be buying more pairs for sure.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for ASICS Men's GEL-Kayano 19 Running Shoe

I ordered these shoes specifically for white water kayaking (and a little rafting). I generally paddle class III and IV water in the North East.
I had a hard time finding a shoe/bootie that hit all my requirements, but finally stumbled on these. Although I generally prefer laces on water-shoes, I think Velcro is better for white water as I don't want anything that could catch and hold my foot. The soles on these shoes offer just the right amount of flex so I'm not worried about fitting into a tight kayak or feeling wedged into place, yet they still offer foot protection from sharp rocks and gravel hike-outs. The have 2 mills of upper insulation which is perfect for spring/fall New England use, and they don't seem over-insulated for summer use. They come up high enough that I'm hoping they protect my ankle bone from general rubbing within the kayak. They seem fairly durable and should outlast the scuba/snorkeling style booties I have been using for years.
As far as sizing, I haven't owned any five-finger shoes so I wasn't sure how accurate their sizing chart would be. I used the Vibram site for instructions on getting a size based on my foot length and the shoes are a perfect fit. I was also worried because I have a wide foot and extremely high arches, but the fit seems great.
I hope to get out paddling in the next few weekends and will update the review if they aren't perfect, but I have high hopes for them.

This is a nice shoe, not wonderful though. First of all it's rather ugly so that's why I gave it 4 stars. I wouldn't use it for running. But it's convenient to slip on and good for walking around the house, grocery store, etc. I wouldn't use it for outdoor walking for any great length of time. I said "somewhat big" because i normally wear a wide shoe, but had to exchange it for a regular width -and even that is slightly big.
