My single complaint about these shoes is the design. The tab that sticks up in the back of the shoe gave me blisters on my achilles tendon. How do people wear these over long distances? Also the heel rode up and down in the back no matter how tightly I cranked down on the "Yankz" laces. The good news is that they are extremely light weight. The just didn't work for me.

I walk for my job and waking up in the morning with bad feet was annoying. These shoes are great and have great support. I have not had any aching after the day is over. Consider this: I walk from 9-5 some times more 6 days. Its been a month and I wanted to let people know that the shoes are still "together" no problems with them falling apart and having to return. Also I would like to say that I have flat feet. So if that helps anyone.

I love these shoes. They always fit and have the right support under the ball of my foot. Heaven forbid that Nike would discontinue making this type of walking shoe. This model is a bit different than the others, but feels and wears the same as the other five pairs I've worn out.

For what its worth-

I've been looking for a new shoe for an upcoming eight day walking trip that would average 4-5 miles a day. I wasn't sure which way to go so I ordered a pair of New Balance running shoes (I'm a big fan of NB shoes) and these. I know these are a trail running shoe but I thought they might be good as a walker. I'm a big guy (6'5" 325lbs) so just walking around the house in both pairs allowed me to tell that the NB running shoes weren't really going to do it for me. These felt great right from the start. Good heel cushion as well a great cushion in the toe box area. The NB's didn't come close. I know the street runners are supposed to be lighter but I wanted to compare for myself. I've been doing 2-4 miles a day in them and am very happy with the fit and haven't had any hot spots.

Once these have been ground into dust I'll be ordering another pair!

First off, I have wide flat feet and I work out at the gym 4x a week doing cross training with high impact cardio. I bought these shoes just for the gym. Sadly it did not work out at the gym because there is absolutely no support at the bottom at all when doing high impact cardio. Within 5 minutes, my feet was in sooo much pain. I never understood how important or the effects of "support" in sneakers were until i put on this pair of shoes and felt the difference. On the other hand, I LOVE LOVE these shoes for everything else like walking or anything non high impact. They are so flexible and comfortable that it feels like you going barefoot. and although i usually prefer wide widths, these i have in regular width but i went up 1/2 a size....So the review is, WONDERFUL for non high impact activities!

These shoes run true to fit and are very comfortable.The fabric is awesome: a matte finish. I wear them for weight lifting,and bootcamp.It does simulate being barefoot. However there are some things I would change: The ribbon type laces started to fray after wearing them twice and they knot up very easily. Also when I do mountain climbers or planks, the toe block (which had a very nice nike free logo in black) has lost its black polish and the white lettering has shown thru..ugh I really liked the all black look. Oh well...I would purchase them again and can't wait to use them for running.

i have the grey green, i have a med. width with wide toes and one foot just enough bigger that if i go up a half of size to a 7 they are not comfortable and if buy true size of 6.5 my larger foot blisters until broke in, with there they are so form fitting that from the first day i wore them in my true size of 6.5 i dont want to wear any other shoes i have, i dont even take them off when i get home they are so comfy and i spend an hour or more working out a day between the treadmill and my weights and it makes the incline much easier as they are so flexable that using heel toe is no effort, just natural, got these for working out but i wear them to work and everywhere i go, they are super cute and get lots of remarks on them and so many choices for colors! I am getting another pair as i fear i will wear these out wearing them so much.

this shew is awesome for my daily rotten! they are light and extremely fixable, it took me a little time to get used to but over time I found them to be comfortable and blister free. My only concern is they don't have the best arch support for strenuous exercise like running. But over all its worth your money

Immediately I noticed the difference between this and my last pair of Progrid Guides... You get what you pay for, and these were cheaper. I am returning for the more expensive, but quality, shoe. (I could have gotten these at Marshall's as a walking shoe). Also, they seemed a little too fitted for me. Perhaps they would stretch out after some wear, but I'm not use to that for a running shoe (as they should feel awesome right out of the box).

I bought this shoe for working out. It is very comfortable and light weight. I do tend to have a very high arch so I use my orthotics for the extra support. If you don't have an overly high arch you should be fine. I also wear a 6 1/2 in most shoes but buy a 7 1/2 in Brooks. Sizing is just different in Brooks shoes!

After dropping $100 on the Asics Kayano I added a 3 mile outdoor run to my workout schedule. Not a month into it I started getting shin splints. After some research I discovered I am an underpronator and shouldn't be in a stability shoe. Back to the store to get a neutral shoe another $100 but it's the best money I've spent in a long time. I LOVE these shoes. No more shin splints. They are perfect for my gait. Super comfortable and holding up great. I've probably put over 500 miles on them now and they are just now showing some wear.

Again ASICS comes through with great shoes that are COMFORTABLE. I'm not a runner but I spend 12 hours a night on my feet as a very busy nurse. Never have any problem with sore feet wearing ASICS and this product lives up to the expectations. Very sturdy base for the shoes, makes it easy to move side to side as well as forward with ease, they are medium weight unlike most nursing shoes that are heavy after 12 hours. I especially LOVE the bright colors, can be coordinated with our solid color scrubs and they clean up very well. (Makes for a great ice breaker with my patients especially the younger ones who love the colors) I can't comment on how well they work for running but I can give them a 5/5 for LONG HOURS of standing and moving. I just received these in the mail. I just started running this fall and realized quickly that in the winter I will need a waterproof shoe outside. There wasn't a lot out there for "water proof". I have liked Asics so I gave the one shoe they had a shot.

As far as fit goes, they are more snug than my other Asics. I think I read this is due to the way the tongue is attached to the shoe. I plan on lacing without using the loop in the tongue and maybe some longer laces. Get a half size larger if you have wider/thicker feet. I ordered my regular size for Asics and feel that a half size larger might be on the looser side of fitting.

Now for the important part, waterproofing. So I took a wet paper towel and wrung it out all over the toe of one shoe. Then proceeded to wear them around the house for about 15 minutes. The outside of the toe felt fully soaked but inside there was no tangible wetness. What I thought might be some seeping was actually the cold from the water-not the water itself. Awesome-with my other shoes, water runs through like a strainer!

I should have believed the other reviews this shoe definitely runs small. I am a loyal asics buyer, so I bought the same size I always have. I have a narrow foot and these shoes are very tight. I'm hoping that with wear they will loosen up a bit.

The fit is snug, but I think that is a good thing. I ordered my regular size and the shoes fit fine for my purpose, which is casual wear. However, if I were running in these I would consider ordering a half size up. I think the snugness in the toe area is caused by the rubber on the toe, which doesn't extend upward as far in the other running shoes I've had. The shoes have less weight than I expected for a trail runner ( my New Balance shoes were much heavier ). The shoes seem to be more stabilizing than my other running shoes, even my other Asics shoes. I got a chance to wear the shoes in the rain recently and they kept my feet completely dry. This was no light drizzle either, it was a full on storm. I'm happy because now I don't have to wear ugly footwear to keep my feet dry and these shoes are really, really comfortable.

The only thing I'm unhappy about is the price. My first pair from nike.com was on clearance because they were an older version. The same exact pair on amazon 8ish months later, was twice the price, which is ridiculous. Otherwise, I would give them 5 stars.
