The New Balance MR1222-1225 series were recommended by a foot doctor. I use them for walking, not running. They are very well made and last a long time. I am a diabetic and had painful plantar fasciitis. I went to several foot doctors, got injections, but the pain kept getting worse. These running shoes have made a huge difference. When paired with Spenco orthotic inserts and wigwam shocks (no painful seams), my feet feel great. I highly recommend them. Hope they help you, too.

I am extremely satisfied with the 1225's. Right out of the box I found them extremely comfortable and ready to go. I took them out for a 7 mile run and thought they were great. Excellent cushioning, but not too soft and definitely not too hard on each footfall. I tend to suffer from shin splints and I think these shoes have helped me stabilize my gait and neutralize my shin splints. I also really like the styling (shoe laces do not come undone), color scheme and reflecting features (good for night running). I highly recommend them if you're someone who needs a stability shoe or even if you are a mild to medium overpronator who needs a stable but not heavy shoe.

I have wide feet and am 6'-4', 240, so need lots of cushioning. I use these mainly for trail runs/light hiking and these blow away every other pair of shoes I have ever owned. Very light weight and breathable. Am buying several more pairs as I can't believe how comfortable they are. Durability for trails isn't the best (but I'm not complaining). NB makes great products and I've always loved their wide range of styles/sizes. As such, will remain a loyal buyer.

I have had the last two versions of the 1220 series and upgraded to the 1225's. These are a great balance of cushioning and support. Great for heavier people or people that have hard steps. Was dealing with plantar fascitis for a bit after my long runs and the support and cushioning in these helped me get rid of it. Would definately recommend to all.

New Balance Men's MR1225 Running Shoe I've owned 20-25 pairs of New Balance running shoes in the past 10 years. Never have I had a pair of NB shoes literally disintegrate on me. After only about 50 miles of running the middle forefoot tread is almost gone having come off in chunks. The rest of the tread on the shoe still has those little dimples like on a new shoe, but the composition of the rubber in this part of the tread is clearly too soft or perhaps improperly formulated. Totally unacceptable. Stay away from this shoe at all costs.

Overall, I thought this shoe wasn't that bad. But it's a heavy shoe (13.1 ounces). If you are running with 9-11 ounces shoe, then this is not a good choice. Probably, you might want to try Odyssey if you want to use it for competitive marathon or long distance training.

I love this shoe! I've had it for a few months, and the cushion is exactly the same as it was from day 1. I've never had a running shoe where the cushion maintains itself past a month or so, especially one I ran hard in. I'd strongly recommend the Spira brand if you get sore feet!

It took a little while to break them in, but now that I've worn them several times, they are more comfortable than when I first wore them. I ordered these boots after returning another style of Eastland boots due to their fit and nasty color. The Butternut in the dark brown leather fit perfectly! They have a nice sole for winter walks that gives some traction, I originally thought the red laces would be a bit flashy but they look trendy and great with jeans. The company did include a pair of regular brown laces, just in case....The area around the ankle is padded for comfort. There is no arch support but it doesn't seem to bother me. When the shoes arrived, I tried them on and they felt terrific. I wore them the entire day with no problems. I would definitely recommend these for their comfort, style and durability! If you look at some of the other Eastland boots; you need to realize that they are not all cut the same and may not be true to size...this pair was true to size.

I was very excited to receive these boots and was very quickly disappointed. I tried on the boot, it fit perfectly. I went to tie it and the top two brads of the lacing popped straight off! I was extremely shocked and wondered if I had somehow pulled too hard to make them do that, so I tried on the other shoe being careful to not pull hard and the same thing happened. I was extremely disappointed. If it would have only happened to one boot, I would have reconsidered getting a new pair and just thought it happened by some manufacturing default, but it happened to the both. I would not recommend purchasing these boots. You can take the risk if you want, but my guess is the same thing will happen to you in due time.

This is a nice pair of shoes. Personally I prefer the Zoots that don't require me to tie them, but other than that, the tie system is fine. I find the toe box narrower than normal for Zoot. This requires a thinner pair of socks than I normally wear. Comfortable otherwise.

I'm a picky shoe person. I want a very minimalist shoe but one that doesn't cause a bunch of friction on my foot. This is a pretty good balance of both. I like the rounded sole on the heel. I wish they would do that to their other Pure shoes too. It allows for better ankle motion in the running stride. It's definitely a neutral shoe though and not much heel drop (if any, I'm not sure) which is nice for knee impact. Either way, if your used to cross trainer-type running shoes (which is most) just work up a little slower. I'm not sure how it compares to the PureConnect 2 yet.

Great cushion and stability. I had to go one 1/2 size up compared to my normal Nike size. I use these to run probably 15 miles a week and they have held up well so far. The university red color marks up easily, so they look dirty already, but that doesn't really bother me.

I also have a slight overpronation, and these provide me the stability I need.

These are very cool Saucony's. I love the red color and so does my 4 year old son. No one at preschool has these, and they are easy for him to put on and take off. They are flexible and perfect playground shoes. I never buy any other brand of gym shoes for my son because these work so well. They have great support, but are breathable, and wash well. I've gone to Stride Rite and tried their brand, but their boys shoes get terribly stiff feeling after your child hits the 10-11 size range. My son is a bit clumsy, and I don't worry about Saucony shoes tripping him up.

The previous pair of New Balance did NOT go well after 3 months with my 5 yr old son.

After upgrading to this pair, it was like magical. The velcro straps secure his feets comfortably within the bottom sole and top mesh of the shoe housing. The sole added padding on the sides provide stability and traction controls for his stop and turn movement.

Saucony is well known for the comfort in the padding. You can put a raw egg inside the shoe and let the shoe drop vertically down the a hard cement or tile surface. You should see the egg will be intact where the shoe's sole had provided all the energy damping from the dropped eggg.

For me this is quite a departure from the traditional running shoes I have used. They are very light weight. The shoe fits like a glove and very comfortable with no slippage. The heel impact is noticeably softer. Time will tell how much punishment the "four" shock absorbers will take. I am not so much interested in looks as I am shock dampening. That being said, the shoes appearance has led to several compliments from my gym buddies. The heel cup is nice and snug. I really like how it laces up. (Very even distribution and again no slippage). Even though it is a running shoe I am very happy with how comfortable and stable it is for walking around the gym and lifting weights. I think it is a great running shoe...more later jfm

My last four pairs of shoes have been Brooks, averaging about 30 to 35 miles per week, been retiring them at 400 or 450 miles. Decided to try something new this time so bought the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 13. Just breaking them in, but so far I have noticed shin splints going away, the bottom of my feet don't hurt after a long run, and I just ran a half marathon and walked away from the race with a PR feeling GREAT. I'm not a big guy but I am older (50) and only been running seriously for the past three years, so I've suffered with the typical knee, hip, and back issues / injuries. The Cumulus may be an ounce or two heavier than what I was running in, but so far they are much more comfortable and I think the extra cushion is more than worth the extra few ounces. I also like the look of the shoes. I'll try to remember to update this post after I get a few hundred miles on them.

Update: I now have 250+ miles on the shoes. They are holding up well. But to be honest I've switched to a lighter running shoe with a flatter heel for most of my training. I still like these shoes and they still feel like I'm walking/running on pillows. I don't think I would have been able to switch to my current shoes right away I needed the ASICS for training while I broke in the Saucony Kinvara 2's and my legs on the track 1 or 2 days a week. So I'm not changing my rating on the ASICS. What I will say is that if you have many typical knee, hip, back issues / injuries you probably have a choice based on my experience. Use the ASICS with more padding. Or try running in a flatter shoe where you land more on the ball of your feet like the Kinvara.

I'm an underpronator with high arches. These shoes are perfect for someone like me. They're just the right amount of cushioning without loss of control or feeling detached from the running surface. ASICS were a switch after years of wearing New Balance and I'm glad I made it. There's significantly more bang for the buck with the ASICS. I just got back from my first run wearing these and I couldn't be happier.

I bought these about six months ago and LOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM. I wish all of my shoes would have the same benefit as these do. They are so so comfortable and durable and I can feel how straight my posture is when I wear them. The only negative thing I have to say about these is that these are walkers, not trainers. So, I can't really benefit from them when working out. And, I do not do a LOT of walking for exercise and I don't always want to wear walking shoes out and about. . . I'm kind of a regular shoe person. But, I do wear these as much as I can.

However, when trying to find out if there were new trainer MBTs on the market, I came across Earth Shoes (no, not the WalMart "earth shoes") and recently bought a pair of Earth Shoe Trainers. They also have the negative heel technology (although you MUST order at LEAST a half size larger than you usually wear). I get the same benefit in these when I train! I love these, too. And, they cost a lot less than the MBTs.

I love thess shoes and did 6 months of research until buying some. Now I can't take them off and don't really want to wear anything else!! They instantly pull your tunmmy in making you use your core muscles, upper legs and behind to stride not your smaller muscles. After just 5 hrs with them on I noticed a big diffrence! I will be buying more I think for the price they are worth it, I'd probably spend less more going to Dr visits from migrains, and back aches. I'd give then 10 stars if I could!

My thighs are sore but not as if I just ran 3 miles. It's a good kind of sore; the kind you can tolerate after a long walk. I've only been wearing my MBTs for 2 weeks now so I haven't noticed any changes yet. I live in a hilly area and I bike 15 miles to and from work everyday so I admit that at first I was skeptical that these shoes would do anything for me. They are proving me wrong. My friends have all commented on how my posture has improved and how my walk seems to be straighter(I usually walk with my feet turned out just a bit) My knees don't hurt as much and my normal shoes just feel aggrivating now. I love my MBTs. I wear them everyday but I think I'll wait a few weeks to see if I'll invest in another pair. I do like the sandals, though. I think I may have to buy a pair.

I am a recovering fibromite, and this shoe has helped me get back to walking, strengthening my core muscles, and even trotting (which is what MBT calls 'jogging' in their shoes). I have had a grey pair of the sport shoe since Sept. 04, and they have helped build back the muscles and endurance I'd lost during a 7+ year flare.

I don't know about the cellulite, as I don't have that problem. But for strengthening, toning, and defining your legs and abs-these shoes are great! Oh, and although they aren't the most stylish, wearing them 24/7 is great- these are shoes I can stand in!

This spring I'm graduating to the high sport (aka athletic) shoe!

The shoes have a star docked because the soles (currently) are not waterproof. I hate leaving my MBTs at home!

For the first time in probably close to 5yrs, I woke up with no back or knee pain. That isn't to say i wasn't sore though. My calves, thighs, butt and those dredded lovehandles were sore. It felt like I went running or did an hour of cardio....omg I would never have believed shoes could do all that. My physical therapist recommended these shoes 2yrs ago, and I told her I would never pay $250 for shoes. There is a shoe store near where I work and I kept seeing people going in barely able to walk and coming out with the best posture. I got curious...so I went to investigate. From the moment I put these shoes on and stood up my knee pain vanished and the constant throbbing back pain was greatly lessened... I walked around for 30 minutes...the sales clerk even let me walk outside for about 10 minutes. The strangest thing was, the longer I walked the less my back hurt. I haven't been able to sit or stand for more than about 15-20 min since a 2001 accident...until now. I wish I would have bought them 2 yrs ago...it would have saved me alot of agony and alot of money. I could kick myself for all the time and money I have spent on injections, pain meds and doctor visits that only allowed me to live with the pain. I only wish I would have listened to the physical therapist to begin with. oh well...live and learn and wear mbt's :)

I normally wear a 9.5-10 but I got 9.5 with these and they were a little to big. I kept them because I figured when I started wearing thicker socks in the winter they would fit better. If you're going to be doing a lot of walking or standing, the Reebok's Classic Leather Running Shoe is one of the best sneakers you can buy to wear with casual clothes. I have worn them for years, and they have always been amazingly comfortable, with no breaking-in required. They are made of butter-soft leather, yet they are very, very durable. The padding is cloud-soft, and the rubber sole gives excellent traction and stability.

Reebok's are always true to size, as well. If you are looking for good athletic shoes -here they are, ladies!

I purchased Reebok shoes from Marcus Uniforms. I had this same pair of shoes previously purchased elsewhere and they were perfectly comfortable from day one which is the reason I wanted another pair when my first pair was getting worn out. From the start they hurt the top of my left foot on top left side where the tongue is sewn in corner. I wore them maybe 6 times (they were not dirty or really worn etc when I returned them..were in like new condition)..kept hoping they would stretch a bit and not hurt any longer but never happened and explained this to the customer rep when I initially spoke to her. Contacted Marcus Uniforms and told them what I said above. I had to pay to send them back to them and was told if they looked at shoe and seen nothing wrong I would have to pay ..again..to get them back. They told me they seen nothing wrong and had to pay $10.00 in Postal Money Order only to get them back again. I had a nice customer rep who tried to help but she kept deferring to a gentleman who she stated was the owner and he refused to do anything about it..no replacement, no credit for shoes...nothing. I will not be purchasing from this place again. These shoes cost me a lot of money after all the shipping back and forth plus purchase price and now I have a pair of shoes that I cannot even wear. I am not a happy customer.

UPDATED AGAIN-I contacted Reebok directly and spoke to the supervisor. Told me to send the shoes back to them with a tracking number which I did the next day. I called him and gave him tracking number and he immediately sent me the same brand new shoes to me before even receiving my defective pair. They fit and feel great! Definately something wrong with the pair from Marcus Uniforms. Thoroughly disgusted with them for their horrible customer service!
