Nice shoes, good support and they fit like a glove. I really wanted to like them but they make your feet feel like they're in a sauna. Very little ventilation / breathing. Couldn't wait to get out of them after only wearing them for 2 hours. I'm returning them.

I liked the fit of these shoes. They are also incredibly light. Unfortunately near the ball of my big toe the Vibram rubber does not extend to the full width of the shoe. Because of this when you are pushing off and the shoe compresses the part with Vibram compresses less than the part without the Vibram. This creates what feels like a seam along the middle of the bottom of the ball of your big toe. I know if you were to run in these it would cause blisters after a few miles. It is a design flaw that is exacerbated by my wide feet that push the ball of my foot further out. If you have narrow feet, you may not experience the same thing. I wish I could keep these because everything else looked like it was going to be good.

I have been using these for a month-and-a-half now, and am very pleased. I am a fully converted minimalist. As with every new shoe, I don't immediately make a new shoe my daily runner.... I phased this in over two weeks, but it has been my daily for about a month. Very light. So much so, it feels like I am wearing nothing at all, compared to some of my other minimalist shoes. Unlike a previous reviewer, I find these shoes to be well ventilated and cool. There is one reason I am not giving this shoe five stars... it had a seam flap that did not lay flat, seemingly similar to what a previous reviewer commented. After my second wearing I was discouraged and thought I was going to be returning them, because that flap (on the inside-side, just behind the ball of the foot) irritated my skin. To repair, I super-glued it down in the proper position (using Loctite brand gel super-glue). It has stayed put, with zero discomfort. These shoes are now my favorite. One shouldn't have to "repair" new shoes.... but if you get these, and you have the same problem, it was a real easy (and seemingly permanent) fix.

While I love my NB MT20 trail running shoes, this shoe has a fatal flaw. Now, it could be just poor workmanship in the 3rd world country it was made in, but I'm not sure. Both left and right shoes had a significant amount extra fabric on either side of a stitched seem on the inner part of the shoe, just behind the "knuckle" of where the base of the big toe begins. This fabric formed two separate flaps that folded or rolled up, becoming even thicker, making the shoe unwearable for more than a couple minutes.
It instantly irritated the area, because it was so much extra fabric. It might have been glued down to alleviate this irritation, but there was just so much fabric (1/2" flap) and...well, the nature of shoes becoming so hot and humid, even gluing it down would have been a temporary fix at best. So just a warning. You may be sending this set back like I did.
Verdict? Either poor workmanship or flawed design. Perhaps both.
