I really wanted to like this shoe. I liked the fun, sporty styling, the mesh is lighweight and airy. As a lifelong saucony and new balance wearer, I tried out columbia because I just didn't like the current crop from those manufacturers other than the shoes I had just worn out and wanted something different.

The fun styling and comfort of the top of the shoe is why I didn't give the product zero stars.

So why am I down on the shoe? The arch support is placed too far back and makes the shoe painfully unwearable. It may feel snug and even nicely supportive at initial blush, but after a few hours in the shoe you will be looking for an excuse to take the shoe off and let your feet rest. For a dress shoe, that might be an acceptable sacrifice, but for a running shoe I expect comfort.

I really wanted to like this shoe (so much so I purchased three different colors) and gave them a couple days of heavy wear, but at the end they are just too painful to keep.

My wife bought me these for Christmas 2011, and I still wear them a lot. They are very comfortable, light. and they've held up pretty well over the last year and a half. I Love the color scheme too. Great shoes!

I have had these shoes for over a month now. They are holding up very well so far and have very few complaints. The are very sturdy and comfortable. My only complaint is they run a little small. I wear a size 13 or 14. Usually 14, but nothing over 14. I ordered size 14 and they are still a little small. I could have ordered a 15 and they would have been perfect. Other than that, it's a great pair of shoes.

After wearing rigid custom orthotics for years due to plantar fasciitis and over pronation, I read how they actually weaken the foot by not allowing your foot muscles to work due to all the support. These orthotics claim to provide support yet flex under impact ahd push back up to allow your arch to move when walking or running. The web site states they were designed with Scandinavia's top custom orthotic guys to provide dynamic support for the arches and increase foot strength without blocking natural movement.

After wearing them for a couple months they appear to work as advertised. I feel the support and do not get pain as I used to get when barefoot or not wearing orthotics for extended periods and my feet feel stronger. I can feel the main arch support flex yet provide support. The metatarsal or front foot arch support is prominent on these but I do not notice it after a few minutes. This high arch support changed my life! I was getting vericose veins on the inside of my upper calves. I only know now that it was because I have such high arches. My varicose veins have gone away since these arch supports came in, and I have gotten my life back.

I can once again walk comfortably, stand comfortably to do the dishes for example, and I feel SO MUCH BETTER in general! The difference has totally left me astounded!

What an interesting and unusual design characterizes this product, not quite like any I've seen before, and does it ever work for me (and I have big bunions, a very low arch, and not much natural cushioning left in my feet)! Although it felt odd when I first tried it in a Keen Voyager hiking boot (I do a LOT of hiking), it also somehow felt good! The "odd" sensation went away within mere minutes; the "good" sensation persisted for my entire walk.

And the beat goes on! I have now used the product in several shoes that I wear for different purposes, getting excellent results over roughly 20 miles walked in the last week. Certainly I hope this success continues, and it seems that may be a good possibility as the product appears to be very well made.

As usual, buying the product through Amazon was an easy and predictably good experience. Shipping was right on the mark, too, so I'm a pretty well-pleased customer. And, yes, I do plan to purchase another set of these footbeds... ASAP!

My first impression was how nice the shoe packaging was. The box is the type you would like to keep rather than throw out, and the shoes inside were wrapped in individual velvet like zip bags.

The shoes themselves are very well made. Heavy but look exactly as described in the pictures. The zipper on the side works well, and I didn't find much resistance when pulling up or down.

The strap was hard to get out of the belt buckle, so I left it alone. I'd say the shoe fits quite well and is comfortable to walk in. The front part is harder of course, so for some with longer toes.. cramping might become an issue.

Overall the shoe is very well made, the stitching seems to be good quality.

CONS:

Gets hot! Not much breathing in these type of shoes but that is to be expected if you simply looked at the picture.

This comes in a very nice box and bags for the boots, not typical and a nice little show. When I put these boots on they are fantastic, very unusual look that could go nicely with casual to semi dress. They are comfortable. I know with boots the true test is time, so I purchased these in March and will try to give some updates on the amount of use and wear on the boots.

I bought these needing a good hiking shoe for a recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales, England. They provided waterproof comfort and my feet stayed warm and dry during several wet hikes. My only reason for not giving them a full five star rating is their traction is not the best on wet or slightly icy surfaces. The fit is true to size and I found them to be very comfortable with a medium hiking sock.

This shoe looks really feminine on here, but not when you get it home. I was looking for a neutral shoes to wear on our 2 weeks in Europe. It was neutral, but the colors are a bit darker than what you see. That being said, they fit well and were very comfortable. After returning 2 pairs of Siren shoes, this one with Gortex, which was too stiff allover. a regular siren sport which was too tight and had a seam that rubbed, I bought a pair of the siren sport locally. I had to try on several pair of each to settle on one which was comfortable. I have had this shoe before and was happy. Wish I could still buy siren synch, which was perfect for me. The siren sport is a little lacking in cushioning underfoot, so a added a thin gel insole, and now I am happy.

At first the price kept me away and I bought a less expensive and heavier Ecco trail shoe which I love in a dazzling red and black Gortex but several months later I needed another pair. The Bioms were on sale right after Christmas and I feel they're the best gift I could ever give my feet, legs, and stature. No more rocker soles ever. I'm so screwed up from them. The Biom GTX is the best incredibly light weight, love the pink and black. I bought a size up my normal size seemed too snug and everything is right heel height, arch placement, toe box, width. I wear them for every day, do a lot of stairs, and a lot of dog walking. Mostly attracted to the support. Amazing shoe. Telling everyone about them.

Bought for my wife and she won't take them off. Best shoe ever purchased. They fit formed to the foot with lots of comfort and support built into the design. Materials are first rate as is the craftsmanship, Ecco seems to be consistent in producing extremely well made and designed products. Okay they are a little snugged on the top of the foot. But when it was 6 degrees outside with snow on the ground these shoes were freaking AWESOME! My toes stayed dry and warm which I was very surprised! Also today went on a five mile trail run with mud and water puddles...DRY WARM FEET! Having warm toes makes me a very happy person.

I bought these based on a friend's suggestion. They are supposed to allow you to slip your shoes on/off with little effort, yet keep your foot secure in your shoe while you run. Since they are elastic, they will expand as your foot swells, however, if you start them off too tight, the can become restrictive. I tried them laced the convention way (loop at the top) as described on the box, but I could never get them loose enough (women's sz 8) and they felt constrictive. I flipped them around (loop at the bottom) and the fit seems to have improved. Sure the shoe is a bit looser when first put on, but after a while the fit feels secure without being too constrictive. With the shoes laced both ways with the yanks, the shoe never felt like it would just fall off. If you run a lot and are tired of lacing your shoes or need expandability in your shoes, these might work for you. The lime green is really bright and is stands out. I suggest black if you don't want too much contrast (which I also purchased).

Well, I've been wearing them non-stop for three weeks, so these shoes go up a star to 4. Just wish they had a more structure. I'll probably buy another pair soon cause the fur is just perfect for chilly San Francisco / Oakland non-rainy weather.

I do like these shoes. But, they are not going to last, which is why I give them 3 stars. They are a little loose and the material flimsy, the shoe structure is less than I expected. Calling them outdoor slippers is about right. If these were beefed up I'd buy nothing but these for the Northern CA bay area, where the fog keeps the air chilled.
