I started the coach to 5k program to get myself out there and running again. It' s been 25 years since I actually ran, that is not to say that I haven't exercised, just haven't run. So I started out with a pair of Nike running shoes, spent a lot of $$$ on them and still felt weighed down and just didn't feel I was running right because of my shoes. I read an article on barefoot running shoes did some research and found these merrells. Truly they were worth every cent. First they are super light, they practically weigh nothing. Your foot feels naturally comfortable the moment you put them on. Now for usage, for me there was no breaking in period, they were perfect right out of the box. True to size. I am a 9 and ordered a 9 and the fit was spot on. My warm up after a stretch is a 5 minute brisk walk, this ismwhere my nikes started hurting. Not so with these shoes! Wow, i felt very springy and really wanted to get into the running portion of my program. To me my run felt lighter, I was able to keep a good pace whereas before, I had to keep adjusting because the shoes just were not helping. Because, i was able to pace myself, I was able to endure longer and even go a little faster ( I am in no way a fast runner not at all). When I say endure I mean I felt like I could have gone even longer with the run. It's been a month since I got these and I want to order another pair, just to have them on hand for when these wear out. For me they are perfect. I even got my daughter and husband to buy a pair. My husband has problems with just about every shoe he buys ... These not one complaint ... He loves them. Ditto for my daughter who now started running too.

This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and so far I am hooked. My feet, specifically my arches, are very sore in the mornings when I get up. Someone suggested I try these shoes and when in days I have noticed a difference. They are very comfortable and it feels like u are wearing slippers. I would definitely get a half size bigger. I am a solid 9 and had to return my initial pair for a 9.5.

I wear these every day; I'm on my feet most of the day as I am a massage therapist. Love these shoes! They are light weight and comfortable but beware you need to order at least a half size larger than normal. I ended up giving my first 2 pair that were a half size larger, to my daughter and actually ordered a whole size larger (7.5 normally and wearing 8.5) because I wear socks and my feet tend to swell after 6 straight hours of standing. They are just what I needed! Even my chiropractor approves of them. After wearing these for a month I tried to wear my favorite Ecco's and found they are not my favorites any more.

These shoes are very comfortable. I have been wearing them for 3 weeks now. They are a huge change from my Nike Flywire. The weight of the shoe is so light that my workouts have been easier. I found them to fit my true shoe size. The only downfall is the tread. When I am working out on a hardwood gym floor I slip and slide great for lunges but when doing an exercise where my feet need to stay stable I keep slipping. Not a deal breaker still love this shoe.

I have wide toes & narrow heels (duck feet) so I wear a lot of clogs Merrell clogs -because everything else rubs my heels raw. I saw these in a store, but not in my size, so I ordered them from Amazon. Even as a Merrell lover, I really didn't believe I could wear them without socks. Surprise! I wore them a whole day, walking quite a bit. And another day. And another. Not even red spots on my heels. And my toes are very happy with so much space. I'm not a runner, but I walk a lot. I need to order another color.
