Unbelievable. After 10 years of lower leg pain when I tried to run, I was able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes without ANY lower leg pain the first time I tried these shoes. Instead of coming down on the balls of my feet, lowering to my heel and pushing off again on the balls of my feet, I felt like I was making impact in the middle of the arches and the shoe was propelling me forward without any impact to my calves or achilles. These are the best running shoes I've ever owned.Best Deals on Skechers Men's Resistor Resistance Runner
I'm not the sort of guy who goes for expensive shoes. My general philosophy has always been that a shoe is a shoe, whether they cost 30$ or 130. But last fall I took up running and now that I run 5-10K several days per week, I found that my ankles tended not to feel quite right while running and sometimes hurt afterward. Initially, I used ankle braces, which helped but didn't completely resolve the issue.I've been wearing these shoes for my running sessions for a couple of weeks now and, much to my surprise, they've solved my problem completely! My ankles feel perfectly fine while running and they don't hurt afterward. I'm able to run farther, faster, and more frequently than before. Not only that, but the shoes are so comfortable (they didn't even require breaking in I ran 10K the night I bought them!) that I'm thinking of buying a second pair to wear at work. It helps that they look a lot nicer than the other iterations of "Shape-Ups", too!
I only have three minor criticisms of these shoes:
1) They aren't particularly light or breathable, which is a concern for a running shoe. If you're used to ultra-light, breathable running shoes you may find your feet feel a little hot and heavy.
2) I can't say I feel any sort of difference in the quality of my workouts (other than the fact that I'm running free of pain!). So if you're buying these shoes for the alleged increase in muscle toning and calorie burning, you may be disappointed. But then again, I probably run more than most and my leg muscles never feel sore. So it might not be completely fair of me to expect to notice an immediate difference.
3) Initially, your balance may feel a little bit off until you become accustomed to running in these shoes. It took me two or three runs before my stride felt completely natural again.
In any event, minor details aside, 5 stars for the best pair of shoes I've ever owned! I will definitely be purchasing more Resistance Runners in the future!
Honest reviews on Skechers Men's Resistor Resistance Runner
after reading the reviews; the praisers and the blasters. I finally decided to buy this shoe for my daily running regimen, and i end up praising it and blasting it at the same time.comfort: it is what a shoe to your feet what spooning with your lover feels like. it's that comfortable. It took a few hours getting used to the rocker bottom. started it on my daily 5k regimen. Cushioning is wonderful I could feel it actually absorb the impact otherwise I would usually start to feel jarring my knees and shins. no more after-runs knee and shin pain! walking feels like rolling, a seamless effort from step to the next step. my jog/run stride felt like gliding. after a while the body adjusts to these new sensation one would not feel while walking and running on a regular shoe, it starts to enjoy it. so A+
weight: coming from my adizeros, this shoe weighs a TON. i mean it. i guess this is the only draw back. i don't think it has anything to do with the rocker bottom technology or whatever fancy shmancy terms skechers came up with. the weight of this shoe WILL make your leg muscles work extra. but they did say burn extra calories did they? On my 2nd week now and I can say my buns and thighs feel firmer. i can even feel it reaching to my obliques and lower back. so i'll give it a B-
overall this is a good shoe -almost great. spending a day in the mall? this is my shoe of choice. want to burn more calories from your running? hell yeah. doing a marathon? no thanks i'd prefer my adizeros. if it was a lighter shoe i'd take it out for longer runs then it would deserve 5 stars
