I enjoyed the La Sportiva Wildcat trail runners on my first hike, but when I put them on the second time, the tongue pulled right out of the shoe! When I looked closely, it appeared the tongue was glued on, not stitched. It's upsetting because I did like them, but either the workmanship is poor, or I got a lemon. I'm returning for a refund.

I'm giving it 3 stars; 5 stars for the shoe style and fit, 1 star for workmanship. Ergo, a 3-star item.

I bought these shoes specifically for our trip to the Canadian Rockies. Even though they are considered trail runners I ended up using them as hiking shoes. They are light and very breathable just perfect for the summer hike. The sole is stiff with multiple cleats which provides pleanty of stability. Overall they provide good grip on wet or dry surfaces. When stepping on exposed tree roots they will slide so make sure to watch were you step. The construction at the top prevents any debris from getting into your shoe. They are very comfortable to were on the long, challenging hikes.

This is an Italian company and the sizing is a bit different. I'm usually size 9M US or 39B/M EU, however, after trying a pair in MEC store I ended up going with size 8M US/39.5.

I was looking for a lighterweight shoe for hiking, and these were recommended. I wore them for the first time for a 10-mile hike of one of Maine's 4000'ers, and the second time for a 12-mile hike of one of NH's 4000'ers. They worked great, and I needed no break-in time. There's just enough stiffness in the sole and lovely padding so I didn't feel the rocks underfoot. Even on the few times that my toe pushed forward during long descents, I barely felt it. They were perfect for my purposes and my feet they accommodate a slightly wider foot, and put no pressure on my many sore spots that I've earned from years of hiking. I'll likely get another pair with the gore-tex so I won't have to worry too much about wetter trails.

If you are a runner, these will probably feel heavy to you; if you are accustomed to wearing hiking boots, these will be significantly lighter.

Love this shoe! Fits perfectly for a normal size 7 feet. Not narrow and not too wide either. True to size. Very comfortable!

I love these sneakers! Out of multiple pairs of trail running sneakers that I tried on before buying online, these have the best grip. They actually feel "sticky" on rocks which is great.

They are slightly wide, which is perfect because my feet swell when I'm hiking. They're very comfortable, and pretty light.

They also have highish / supportive arches which I love too.
