This is my third pair of Merrell Solo. My career is in Garden and I am outside on my feet all day. They are the most comfortable shoes and I would recommend them to everyone.

I've been a fan and wearer of Merrell athletic/sport shoes for years...even going so far as to buy my two daughters the Quartz lace ups also. After reading the reviews, I chose the Solo Origins for spring/summer. Yes, as other reviewers mentioned, these are a bit stiffer than some other Merrell athletic shoes, but for me, that is a big plus. I have over-pronation, my heel is narrow and my feet are a bit bony, so the support and comfort this particular style (&the Quartz lace ups)offer are perfect for me...and like the Quartz, these are comfortable right out of the box. The prices, when on sale, are worth comfortable, long -lasting, attractive shoes, which are great for walking with our dog, Edith, on trails, beaches, lanes, etc. or just running errands.

very little break in needed for these shoes, only complaint is that I got them dirty too fast. I always buy merrells they are super durable.
