I love Spira shoes. I'm a nurse with alot of standing demand on my legs. These Spiras make all the difference in diminishing my leg and foot fatigue. The yellow is very, very bright. The young people around me love them. The friends who are 40-plus aren't show sure. I don't care what they think. They are also wonderful for running. I feel bouyant in these and, believe me, I am not very bouyant. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 to a 9. I purchased a pair of Spira runners that were 9B-C and they were a tad bit too short and not wide enough. With these I bought a 9 1/2 C-D. They're slightly too wide but my feet are not squished. I've worn them for 12 hours without my feet and legs tiring, and I was on my feet 80% of that time.

I run an average of 3-4 miles a day, 2-3 times a week. I used to suffer from knee, hip, and ankle pain. With these shoes that has all gone away. They cushion the impact so much more than any other shoe I have owned. The cushioning effect doesn't lessen either with age. They are also extremely light weight. They don't provide alot of lateral support needed for other activities, so I wouldn't recommend them as a cross trainer or use for anything else than running/walking. Great shoe overall.

...and it's not even close. I've tried the Nike Free and the Lunar Glide. I've also tried various shoes by ASICS, New Balance, and Under Armour. They were all fine, but none hold a candle to the Spira.
What makes these different are the spring systems in the ball and heel. They may sound like a gimmick, but they work. The springs do a great job of absorbing shock while still providing stability. These shoes may not make you run faster or jump higher, but your
feet and knees will definitely feel better after a long run.
Be advised: these shoes tend to run half a size small. I usually wear size 11, but I ordered these in 11.5 and they fit perfectly.

I've been running moderately for 30 years outdoors but lately I started experiencing slight pain on my left knee. I figured either I stop running and find other physical activity to keep in shape or buy the best running shoes I could find. After some investigation the Spira Stinger appeared to have what I was looking for. I looked around the stores in the area but they were unavailable, so I decided to order them via Amazon because of their easy returns. I typically wear a size 9 but considering I would be using thick socks for further impact protection I ordered size 9 1/2. As soon as I got them I tried them and ... wow! What a wonderful sneakers. They hardly weigh anything and provide great support and fit perfect. I love them. It's great to see an American company manufacture top quality products in the USA. Highly recommended.

I run an average 25 miles a week yet my feet feel as fresh ,every time,at the end of the run as at the start.The shoes are very light weight and yet very supportive ,the toes tips are well protected with firm round tip of shoes.sole of shoes has good traction,I started using it as walking shoes on my vacations as well.This is my second pair in a year.
