I was looking for turf shoes for soccer and baseball. This is a whole other topic unto itself, but if you are used to wearing regular cleats on real grass, try a pair of turf shoes. Unless it's really wet and muddy, they hold just as well and they are almost always lighter (unless you have a super-expensive pair of high end cleats). Anyhow, suffice to say that I was looking to replace a pair of Nike Air Zoom Brasilias, which were superlative. Nike doesn't make them anymore, and the Mystic Tiempo is a poor substitute.
Which gets us to these shoes. The ASICS are solid. Not as light as my Brasilias, but not bad. You slip these puppies on and they just feel connected to the ground. They are well constructed and have a good cleat patter for a very "grippy" feel. I have very wide feet. I normally wear an 11 1/2 EEE; I ordered these in a 12 and they fit just fine. Plus, they are just darn good looking shoes. I have worn them probably five times now -in very dry dirt conditions (running up the base paths), on dry grass (in the outfield) and on wet grass (soccer pitch). These shoes work well on everything. Then even have pretty darn good touch and feel for soccer.
Overall, great looking shoe, not terribly expensive, very comfortable, and very practical for a number of surfaces. Go ahead and add it to the cart.

Purchased these for my son who plays high school lacrosse. He has had Severs Disease in the past and feel no foot pain in these shoes. Great Asics quality as always.
