So far so good, no problems after about a week of running in them, & their lighter than i expected them to be. Just needed a running shoe that I could rotate between pavement & gravel road/trail with & this on seems to fit the bill.

Aloha. I am NOT a runner. However, I live on Kauai so I was in need of a pair of trail shoes that could handle hiking the wet slippery trails of the Napali. These shoes completely fit the bill. They are super comfy, have good traction, and keep my feet dry. Upon receiving them, I thought they may be a little small, but after wearing them a couple times, they loosened up and now fit like a glove. I am super satisfied with these shoes, and will be buying Montrails from now on.

I've been a huge fan of Montrail for a couple of years. These shoes seem very sturdy and well built. Very comfortable with great support. Love them so far.

Honest reviews on Montrail Men's Fairhaven Outdry Road-Trail Running Shoe

Really well made shoes. Nice, sturdy feel and won't allow you to pronate too much. The name implies that they are for road and trail running, but the soles wear out very quickly on asphalt, so if you don't mind using shoe goo on waffled soles no problem. If you do, you better reserve them for trail or soft track running only. Also, they run about a half size or a little more small.

I love, love, love my Montrail Mountain Masochist 2 shoes, but after 5 sets of them I decided to branch out a bit and thought that these Fairhavens might be better. I was sorely wrong. They are only mediocre on pavement and terrible on the trail. I slip and slide all the time on the trails. If you are going on hilly terrain things will get even worse as they do not grip around the feet very well at all. I found that my feet would be almost sideways in the shoe going over hills (not on a trail). I guess they are really meant as a compromise, but I would rather just wear my Mountain Masochist 2s for road-trail running as they do just as good and they feel more comfortable also.
