This is my 4th pair of 574's in the last 10 years. It is obvious right away that these are built for winter. The sole is thicker and the mesh on top is practically windproof. After wearing these for a few days in this oddly up/down Chicago winter they are quite warm as well. With that, they are also a bit stiffer all around so there is a bit break in time compared to traditional 574's which are pretty much good to go right away.

The downside is that they are a bit narrower up front than regular(non winter) 574's. I don't wear thick socks with any 574 and it is noticeable. With that said, they are still roomy enough to be comfortable and not feel like I need to return them for this reason. The rest of the shoe fits good.

Overall I am very happy with these. I would still highly recommend to anyone looking for a winter sneaker.

These are the strongest 574s I`ve ever used. When they say this is for the winter, they really mean it. When you put your hands on them, you can feel that these sneakers were meant for heavy use -for example walking through the snow or mountain trips. They have a boot-like material on front, they will probably protect you from any harm during an extreme condition. Ah they look quite nice too, especially the gray and yellow version. These are like the armored edition of the beloved 574. The only problem is that they are a little bit narrowed but with time, they might just adjust to my feet. Note: I have a collection of 574s, but these are the only one with problem at least for me. Otherwise, these are great companion for snowy days and why not everyday. I highly recommend them!

Blue ML 574 What do you expect it's the same shoe almost every time. The chinese made ones are a little smaller than the american made ones but whatever. They are cool and I like the synthetic toes. It's easier to keep clean.
