Before buying the Correct Toes I tried another product called Smart Toes. My foot problem is that the 4th and 5th toes on both feet curl sideways so I am walking on the sides instead of the bottoms. I never really thought much about finding a solution until I began practicing yoga and realized that my deformed toes were partly preventing me from finding balance during certain poses. I couldn't spread them out for support on one-legged poses. That's when I realized I needed to find a solution to this problem. Eventually that led me to purchase the Smart Toes because they spread out your toes nicely. I used them for about a month a few hours a day but you can't really walk on them or stand on them much. They seemed to help some but were limited because they can only be used during sitting times. I suppose eventually the idea is that your muscles and feet will adjust and your toes will correct but they were not comfortable and I was intrigued by what I read about Correct Toes. So I sent the Smart Toes back and ordered Correct Toes.

I have been wearing them for a few days and really like they way they feel and the effect they are having on my feet. But the clincher came today when I decided to actually wear them in my hot yoga class and see if they would stay on my feet and help with balance. After all, that was the problem I was trying to solve. It was amazing! Poses that I normally would fall out of easily or have a hard time getting into because of balance I was able to do with ease! Well, not ease, but the balance was there so it was way easier. They stayed on my feet the whole time. I am in love.

Yes, they are expensive for what you seem to get if all you are looking at is size and the amount of silicon it takes to make them. It's true, they are kind of skimpy in that way. But they work, at least for me. I look at them as a solution to a real problem that had no solution--and all for only $65. They spread my toes, are comfortable to wear and I can walk in them and pretty much wear them all day. I believe that eventually the problem with my toes will be much better wearing them daily. But in the meantime I still gain wonderful benefits. I have one pair of shoes that they fit in and that's enough for now.

My one suggestion would be to design another style that can be worn with quality flip flops. If the large toe piece were removed that would probably do it since the thong of a flip flop would replace it. The rest of the toes would be held in place with the rest of the device.

UPDATE: Ten minutes after posting this review I decided to try them with my flip flops. And they work! Oh-and I should also mention I have a size 9 foot--and the S/M seems perfect.

I just recently got these and I'm not sure whether or not I'm returning them.

The Good:

They are so easy to walk in, most toe separators made for the entire foot is not meant to be worn while walking

The silicone is high grade and is easy to wash, and I can't see it breaking apart

my toes are separated enough, even though the inbetween part seems thin

they have been helping my bunions

I can wear them with or without socks/toesocks

The Bad:

The Price

They don't fit into any of my shoes and I mean not one pair

the price

The silicone is a bit hard so it rubbed one of my baby toes a bit in the first couple days

The Price

I can't wear these in any shoes I've found in stores and unless you want to wear the ones specifically recommended in their insert than you will just be able to wear them around the house

the price

did I mention the price? I honestly can't believe I dropped $65, it's like I'm expecting them to do miracles simply because of the outrageous price tag. I honestly don't know if I'm going to return them before the thirty days are up because while I like them, I just can't fathom spending this much money on something I can only wear in the house unless I want to invest in new shoes.

It's been a few days and like I said I like them, and will update in the end with whether or not I decide to keep them. Just to let you know if the price tag were $35 I'd say 'wow that's too expensive' but end up keeping them... but $65???? ah

**It's been two weeks and I've only been wearing the correct toes while I'm at home, with socks over them to keep them clean. I'm a ballerina and reviewer so when I'm not at home I'm in pointe shoes and obviously you can't wear these in those. I've not noticed any decrease in pain, but my mother commented on how straight and non-broken (dancer thing) my toes look. I'll continue wearing them for another two weeks before I decide to keep them or send them back. Again as of right now the only thing that is a con is that they don't fit in normal shoes and they are $65

**I've decided to keep them, while I think that $65 is still outrageous, my toes are actually much more straight, I found some gym shoes at DSW for $40 that had a wider toe box and fit these spacers. I had to buy them a full size bigger, and I only wear them when walking my dogs, but still it was worth the $40. So while I don't believe that $65 is a fair price, for me it was worth keeping. Hopefully my toes and feet will continue to improve.

Bottom line, if you have exhausted all other avenues and don't want surgery this is worth checking out if you have the money.

I was skeptical of Correct Toes at first. I've had bunion surgery on one foot and was facing surgery for my other (surprisingly the foot WITH surgery hurts more than the other). However, my son convinced me to give them a try, and I'm so glad I did!

My feet feel better, and my bunions are very slowly going away. It's helped me get more active, I can't believe I turn 70 this year (yikes!) but I'm now hiking again, and use the treadmill at the gym. I began by using Correct Toes at night after my feet were already in pain (the pain would go away), and now slip them in my shoes during the day which prevents the pain from starting.

I cannot believe how much Correct Toes have helped me get out of foot pain and regain my freedom—and I'm convinced I won't need surgery now!

Honest reviews on Correct Toes - Size S/M - Anatomical Toe Stretcher, Straightener

I do not normally post product reviews but had to do so for Correct Toes. I was about to have surgery for a tailor's bunion when I learned about this product and the great accompanying information found on the developer's website (NW Foot & Ankle). I have been wearing Correct Toes for about 6 weeks now and have already had some straightening of my small toe, which has eliminated the pressure point on the bunion. I am now pain free and I can see that further use of this product will likely continue to straighten the bone. I should note that I have used the product aggressively during this time (12 hours a day while standing / walking) and that the first few weeks were not easy. You must give time for your toes to become a bit more flexible and adjust to the product. I can now wear them in shoes and do not even notice that they are on. Try this product first if you are contemplating surgery!

I'm loving my CorrectToes! As a former dancer, I've struggled with bunions from my tight fitting shoes. These have been a Godsend at helping correct my feet and getting me out of foot pain! They are soft and comfortable, I can wear them discreetly in my minimalist shoes, and they fit perfectly. If you're struggling with foot problems, I think these are a must! I got the small size, and as my feet have gone back to the natural position, I've been able to adjust them making them wider as I've needed by easily adding material to the expansion slot. I don't think you can adjust or widen any of the others.

I read the previous review that they can slip off your feet, but I found when I widened them (it's super simple) they stayed on perfectly. No more foot pain, bunions going away, and I feel stronger and better balanced when I wear them as well. I can't recommend these enough!!!
