As I have discovered I need a well supportive shoe that is more like a tennis shoe, but with some substance. This shoe is perfect and no breaking in was needed. I can now walk comfortably on pavement and a trott through the woods while walking my dog. I don't lose traction and they are super light and cusion my whole body so it reduces impact to knees and back. These shoes are more comfortable than the expensive tennis shoes I have had. So far I have not experienced a negative and I primarily use it for walking my dog through a variety of terrain.

I need a wide toe box, and I have a bunion on one foot. With the correct foot bed insert, these shoes are heaven to wear. I'm a size 9, and I always bought 9 1/2 to accommodate my feet. I can wear this shoe in a 9! I'm so happy, I bought two pairs of the same shoe. One caveat...I tried on both xa comp 7 shoes, the blue waterproof, and the brown non-waterproof. The waterproof shoes have a layer of material inside that puts a barrier between the stitching on the lace holders and your feet. The brown non-waterproof has no layer, and after an hour the stitching dug into the side of my foot and felt like a stone in my shoe! Ouch. So, my 5 stars are for the waterproof blue shoes only.

I work at a dog boarding/daycare/grooming facility and bought these shoes for work. I love the fact I can slip them on and off and that they're so light. It was also important to me that they be waterproof and so far so good! They are very comfortable for all the scrubbing and dog washing and my long hours. I own a hiking boot made by Salomon which I absolutely love, and that's why i went with the same brand. They fit true to my regular shoe size too. The only negative is I slide a little on a wet floor even though they have the contra grip. In general I am very happy, and would recommend them :)

These shoes are very stiff. They would be okay for someone who needs a lot of support. I like a shoe that is flexible.

Good hiking shoe water proof and very comfortable. Not as traditionally firm as most hiking shoes but it definitely has the support. It was comfortable right away and don't feel the need for breaking it in. My first time with this kind of lace but so far seems to hold up just fine!
