The Timberland PRO Willow Trail Hiking Boots are extremely versatile shoes that are suited for almost any situation. These shoes may have a protective metal toe, but they're just as light as a regular running shoe. I purchased these boots to serve as a pair of work shoes, but I've quickly come to like wearing them any time.

The (many) pros of the boots:

-Above all, the PROs are comfortable and light-weight--the soles aren't exactly gel-soft, but they'll work for hours of standing.

-Great protection not only for the toes, but also in the form of static dissipation.

-They're fairly water resistant--I've noticed that they'll even keep out a gushing rainstorm.

-With Vibram outer soles, the Willow Trails have great traction.

-Although they're made from synthetic materials, the shoes seem quite breathable.

-Finally, these shoes are so stylish! The color scheme is the same as in the pictures, and they don't look clunky or over-sized.

However, there are some cons:

-Being made of synthetic materials, rather than leather, is a little surprising.

-Even though the insoles are comfortable, I would rather that they were somewhat softer.

Overall, the Willow Trails are wonderful shoes, definitely a good buy and especially for the price.

The alloy toe protector is a great addition to any of my work boots but I dislike the straight edge that exists in this boot. The edge of the alloy sits right where my big toe flexes and prevents the natural movement of my toes. It's not the end of the world, but there are more comfortable options, like Keen Utility Women's Detroit Low Steel Toe Work Shoe,Monument/Amaranth,10.5 M US. The rubber toe doesn't extend up very far and is already peeling off (after 2 weeks of use). The tongue is gusseted to prevent crud from entering around the laces, but it's a thin material and does nothing to prevent water from soaking into the shoe in a good rainstorm. The sole has great potential for traction, but you'll need to go outside and scuff them up on some pavement first or else you may be slipping around your work room floor. I also find the ball of my foot aches at the end of the day, due to the shoe's low arch support and difficulty flexing.

All-in-all, not a bad pair of shoes if you can find them on sale, but I wouldn't pay full price for them.

These are incredibly uncomfortable, I don't understand how these can possibly be recommended for someone on their feet all day. The heal seems to sit lower than the ball so you're forced to walk with your toes lifted for clearance, the padding on the ball of the foot is unnecessarily hard and the length of the shoe seems to be longer than a standard 8.5. I'm in between sizes, but found this to be more of a size 9. And although the size is longer, the width is not wider and sits too snug. After walking for 20 to 30 minutes on a flat, paved road my feet are in too much pain to continue. Despite this, I did try a few times, hoping they would "break in", but the sole and position is just not right. I appreciate the water resistance, they're likely made to last longer than the standard casual/athletic shoe you buy in the same price range (not mentioning names) but the fit FOR ME is far from acceptable and not what I expected from Timberland.

Honest reviews on Timberland PRO Women's Willow Trail Hiking Shoe

I had these in tan/blue, and I wanted a darker pair, so I got these. These are comfortable and lightweight because of the alloy ( vs. steel) toe. They look and feel like a regular hiker.

I usually get at least 1 blister when I put on a pair of new shoes and that includes running shoes. This pair of shoes need no breaking-in period and was comfy from day 1.
