For a while now I have been looking for a light barefoot running style shoe. After putting these shoes on for the first time I was sold. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet! I am still trying to transition from a heavy supported shoe to a more minimalist approach. With that said I have only ran a max of 4 miles at a time in these shoes. I have also been a huge fan of this shoe in my crossfit training especially when there is running involved in the WOD.Overall they are a fantastic shoe for all of life's endeavors. I work a lot of events and they are super comfortable for being on your feet for a while. I also just visited San Francisco and they proved great for walking around and being on my feet all day. They are super light, stylish, and slide on and off easily.

The fit does run a little large--I wear a size nine in Mizuno running shoes but I wear a size 8.5 in these. These are light weight but have great support. I cut two minutes off my running time in my first three mile run with these shoes on. I have gotten many compliments on them. I will probably not go back to heavier running shoes. Highly recommend to any runner--whether beginner or more advanced.Honest reviews on SKORA Women's BASE Running Shoe
The soles on these shoes are absolutely incredible! I had been barefoot running for 2 years now and gone through some serious foot injuries and fractures. Even after my running form had improved and I became a forefoot striker instead of a heal striker, I still endured foot injuries.I have only one regret with these shoes so far. The insides are a little abrasive in certain areas and for any runs that last 7+ miles, my little toe on one foot and the bones jutting out beneath the big toe joint on the inside of my feet turn red and sore (and blister in really hot weather). But the soles are worth the inconvenience of socks (no soreness or blisters at all with socks)! Breathability is great on the BASE model so socks aren't too big a deal. I also got the FORM model (for winter running, wet weather running, and to pass off as work appropriate wear) which has the exact same soles.
I had consulted skora a bunch before purchasing and the durability has been demonstrated to last several thousand miles, way more than most shoes! So far there is some wear at the forefoot, and unfortunately a little bit of peeling from the black material at the forefoot. Hopefully not too much of a cause for concern. As I mentioned before, the breathability holds up to what they advertise. I also wanted to mention that even though I'm vegetarian, I did get the FORM after talking to them and researching the brand of goat leather. It's derived from small farms in Africa and I believe they are sustainably raised. If they last as long as they should, then this is worth the reduced landfill (my primary reason for vegetarianism is the climate impact and carbon footprint of meat). I've had these shoes since march and have run 7 miles every single day on them since purchased with no visible wear whatsoever!
The other thing I should add is that I compared these shoes to their newer generation (which had just come out when I was making the purchase decision). I actually like the first generation better. The soles are much better for running on pavement and in places with lots of rocks and protrusions because there is a little more material between your foot and the ground, but they are definitely still minimal with zero drop. This is exactly what I was looking for to keep me running in good form while reducing impact injuries. If you want really barebones soles, you may want to try the second generation. The toebox was also too wide for me in the second generation and Skora said the soles for the first generation will last a little longer. I personally also think the first generation looks better but that's just my taste. Oh and the new generation does not have heel tabs which i think are crucial, especially for minimalist shoes!
Last comment, Skora have amazing customer service. A small growing company definitely worth supporting. My only wish is that they'll start to look at more sustainable and eco-friendly materials/construction for their next lines!

I played a little bball with the kids after I first put these on, and my feet totally cramped up. My feet are very sensitive to cramping when my shoes are too tight or too loose, so I was initially worried. The shoe fit me fine, my left foot is a 7 and my right foot is a 6, so I usually go with 6.5's.As soon as I started running the cramping went away, and I noticed I was able to run a little extra longer than usual. Maybe because of the light weight of the shoe? Also because of the lightness, I was afraid rocks would poke my feet through the soles, however I ran over a stretch of gravel and it was fine.
