I am just starting to get back into running. Do a lot of fast hiking with our labs. Thought I'd try these out when I saw them at the Annapolis 10k this past August. (Not happy with my keens anymore heel is too big and when I try to size the heel, then the toe box gets scrunched). And just so you know, I have a slight build (5'-3", 118-ish lbs) and feet sized accordingly. These shoes have a nice wide toe box and still fit perfectly through my narrow heels. These shoes make you feel sure-footed, nimble, light on your feet, and in touch with the trail. I take a 7 1/2 in a running shoe so I purchased an 8. Find myself wearing these shoes constantly since my heel pain has vanished. When I don't wear these shoes, heel pain returns. My osteopath has given them a thumbs up as well. I am in the process of trying another pair. I wish more people would give reviews on all the styles. These folks are definitely on to something and I hope they don't bend to "style" pressure from the public.Best Deals on Altra Women's Lone Peak Running Shoe
Zero Drop tech allows the wearer to stand/walk all day long! I bought these shoes for a trip which would include quite a bit of hiking. I had another pair of Altra zero drop shoes, but the first pair had less of a sole. The Lone Peak version has more traction on the sole, suitable for hiking and bouldering.I would recommend this shoe to all my friends!!
