Since I started running in these "barefoot" or minimalist style shoe, my knee issues have gone away. They promote better form due to reduced heal striking that normal running shoes encourage. Start out slow, walking around in them first and build up your mileage. You'll definitely feel it in your calves and feet a whole lot more in the beginning. So be sure take it slow. I don't run in anything else now. I'm running my fastest mile in years, running with these at track and a few miles so far on a hilly trail route. You really feel the road a lot more in these shoes, which I think makes my body more responsive and less prone to injury.

These Tempos have the feel of bare feet with a great arch support and sole firm enough to walk on gravel and not hurt...can wear them all day in comfort.

I was wearing the Vibram 5 finger shoes and like them but they just don't last. They fall apart after a few months of use and I just did not want to go through that again. I got this shoe and love it. The fit is great and it is comfortable and these warmer in the winter than the Vibram. I will buy this shoe again.
Honest reviews on Merrell Women's Barefoot Tempo Glove
While I do run, I haven't tried running in these yet. I actually found them searching for an everyday shoe that I can wear as a stay at home mom, and I didn't realize they were anything special as far as barefoot technology goes. They are sooooooo comfortable. I now have two pairs. The only con is that the synthetic material can get a little stinky if you wear them a lot. I've washed one pair and let it dry in the sun, and I may try soaking with denture-cleaning tabs the next time they get funky. I wear them with thin synthetic socks, so that may contribute to the problem.
