I always get stares of envy with old school brands, and Pony is no exception, It commands respect and compliments. The only problem is the messed up sizing.
I usually wear 12's but this 12 fits like an 11 1/2.
Other than that it's an awesome shoe.I'll admit that I'm addicted to shoes but I've really been a fan of the Top Star Lo's since I bought my first pair over one year ago. Now, I swear by these kicks. They're comfortable, flexible, and easy to maintain. Comfort wise, the 2008 models made several changes. Pony replaced the inside with a fabric as opposed to a quasi-leather type substance and added padding to the tongue. This adds some extra comfort and reduces friction. In addition, it seems Pony stepped up the arch support, giving some extra foot protection and comfort. Like previous models, Pony kept the vulcanized rubber suction cup sole, now with two-tone black and white. Pony also kept the prominent chevron and, like last year, it's painted using PPG's Viva Flex technology. Notable changes also for this year include a Pony pattern running throughout the PU upper and only a subtle suede touch primarily on the rounded toe and trim for the laces. But much like pony fashion typically does, they kept it relatively the same design from previous years. All in all, I think these are the best designed sneakers in the rounded toe style. I can't wait to see what they do in 2009.
