My best friend recently purchased these shoes because she was majorly getting into a new fitness program. When I first saw them (black uppers/hot pink soles), I thought they were hideous looking. She raved and raved about their light weight and comfort.

Well, last year my dog ate one of my New Balance Walking Shoes (very expensive) and I hadn't replaced them till now. I recently adopted a new boxer puppy and she needs lots of walking and exercise. Hence, I needed new walking shoes. I ended up purchasing a 7 1/2 in the Grey/Purple color. Very attractive. They arrived last night and I walked her this morning. I thought I heard angels singing. These shoes are AMAZING. I typically have very poor balance, am clutsy and I walk on the inside of my feet. These shoes had me walking like a pro. Even getting tangled in the leash was no effort in these shoes. Never lost my balance at all. I've never worn shoes that even come close to these. Oh, my back is whacked and I felt no pain while walking or when I got back home. That was a first.

These shoes weigh nothing. I really can't imagine them making the needle move on a scale. They're very flexible, which makes them feel very natural when walking. My only CON is the laces. They're too short for someone with a wide foot. I can simply loosen them, but then there's little to tie up. I took the laces out of the top holes, and they tied much better and felt very secure. The laces feel really cheap. I may replace them eventually.

Anyway, this review may draw few interested parties b/c of it's length, but I just had to say what these shoes have done for me. I'm excited about the future improvement in my walking abilities and extended walking time. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

I love this shoe! It's very flexible so it allows me to run as if barefoot! Very light weight and like the profile.

I wear a size 7.5 and with reeboks I know they will fit perfectly. These are light yet have the right amount of cushy support. They actually flex right along with your foot. I find other athletic footwear somewhat stiff. I am not a runner but a walker and cross trainer. They work perfectly for that. So comfy and I love the colors. I also own a pair of reebok "yourflex" shoes and love those as well. I would purchase any reebox "flex" shoe again!

Honest reviews on Reebok Women's RealFlex Optimal Running Shoe

First I bought a pair that were on sale at a store in the mall but didn't realize that they were girls shoes instead of womens. The only difference between the girls and the womens is the amount of support in the footbed. I decided to buy a pair of womens at full price and the optimal had just come on the market so I bought a pair of the gray/purple. At first I really liked them but the first time I wore them to the gym I got a painful/bleeding blister across the tops of my toes. This happened due to a piece of clear plastic that goes across the top of the shoe at the exact spot where the shoes/my toes bend while walking. It has even left an ugly red scar. I put a band-aid on the inside of the shoe so that it doesn't rub but I really should not have had to do that but it was too late to return at that point and didn't want to waste the shoes. Soo, even though they hurt my toes I still like the shoes and enjoy how light they are and how flexible they are. I would only recommend the optimals if they fix the rubbing plastic problem but the other styles of the RealFlex do not have the evil plastic on the toe.

i love these shoes, they are very comfortable to workout in, im not much of a cardio person, but i feel these may not last long for runners. they seem more like gym shoes if that makes sense.
