I should have read the other reviews before buying. These are flats not spikes, even though it mentions the word spike in the description and the last picture looks like spikes could be attached. Unfortunately, my son has already worn them. He wanted to break them in before his meet on Saturday. He was going to wear them today and then attach the spikes to wear at the meet. Ughhh!

These are running shoes for my 15 year old son who is on his high schools x-country running team. These are his new favorite shoes. They are the perfect fit, too. He is long and lean and has a thinner foot. (Not narrow) These shoes fit like a glove.
We also saved $30 by buying them on Amazon vs. the running store.

The shoe is a great value and fit well. However, the web description called it a spike, but when we opened the box, we realized that it was in fact a flat. We returned the shoe in exchange for the spike version.

This shoe doesn't have the ability to use removable spikes. These are racing flats. It doesn't say it in the name, so be warned.
