I cannot say enough good things about this shoe. In fact, I have 5 pair two for trail running, one for the gym and two for work. They are great on trails soles are not so thin that you feel every rock/root underneath. They have enough traction to help on the steep inclines even in sandy/fine-rock areas. They dry out quickly and mine have held up to multiple washings without any fraying. I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse. At the end of my shift, my legs and feet do not hurt at all when I wear these shoes. I have a pair of Kinvara 3 too, but the Peregrine 2 seem to be a perfect match for my dogs. In the gym, these shoes are sturdy/steady for squats, leg exercises, etc. as well as running on the treadmill. My shoe size is typically between 8.5 and 9, depending on the brand. I need an 8.5 is a little too snug, so the 9's fit well.

I began my transition to minimalist running about 7 months ago. Went at it far too fast and paid the price with minor foot injuries. Peregrine 2 is a great choice for a mid-transition trail shoe. I like having some extra cushion-I think this will be where I stop.

The shoes run true to size and are light. The weight can't compete with Inov8s and other minimals, but when I'm plowing through mud and water, I can't tell the difference in shoe weight anyway. The toe box is typical--personally, I'd like it a little wider, but this is comfortable. To loosen the fit a bit, try running the laces up the same side for the first couple of loops before cross-threading them. I run with two pairs of thin socks without issue.

The shoe drains very well and the tongue is stitched to the shoe to minimize debris getting inside. I have raced two long mud-run/obsticle courses and the aggressive tread just chews up mud and spits it out. Doesn't matter if it's down hill, uphill, 1" or 6" of mud, these handle the terrain without slipping.

The shoe was comfortable right out of the box and I have roughly 100 miles on them. Kept off the road, the treads are wearing well. (Those few miles on the road feel like you'd expect-stiff and jarring.)

Super shoe. Worth every penny.

I would recommend this shoe for any off road running. Lightweight but great fit and stability. I am currently training for a trail half marathon and the grip on the edges is tremendous. The trails I am training on are single track, narrow, a little rocky and with exposed roots. The Saucony Progrid Peregrine 2 is perfect trail shoe for the environment and feel great even when changing over to road or paved Greenway!.

This shoe is a combination of everything you'll need for most trail running. I'm training to do an ultra and this gives you plenty of cushion without beating you up and has a 4mm drop so you still get a good feel/good forefoot striking.

The grip is awesome. It's done really well in muddy conditions but I also live in TX where it's hot and dry and it responds very smooth on all surfaces.

There are some people that complain about the upper...I haven't had the shoe long enough to see any major issues with quality yet. I will say it's snug and I love that about it, great fitting with out constricting my foot to breath or swell in the run.

I'm actually not a huge fan on the laces...feel big a bulky. Even after double knotting them after a long run they get a little loose. in the knot.

Awesome all purpose trail show. Definitely worth buying.
