My first SKORA Form Running Shoe.

Pros:

Prevents blisters (especially around metatarsal area, i.e. metatarsalgia)

Very comfortable.

Solid materials built for long-lasting use and heavy punishments.

No seams or stitches inside the shoes\ that would cause discomfort or irritation.

Well vented shoe, means no smelly shoe.

Subtle and fashionable shoe.

Perfect shoe for both running and daily walks.

Cautions/Cons:

0mm heel drop means no heel support, caution for beginners transiting into free-form/minimus-type of shoe. Can cause soreness around the Achilles' tendons and ankles.

You must break the habit of heel-striking first when running if your that type of runner.

Long laces, but not an issue if tied correctly.

Expensive shoe.

Caution these shoes aren't design for people with flat feet or high-arches.

Not the lightest shoes in the market, but one of the most comfortable and sturdy ones.

Overall, this shoe is an excellent buy and well worth the price. I highly encourage people who transiting into free-form shoes or those who are looking to replace their old shoes to take a look at the SKORA Form.

I've heard people complain about the rounded heel which creates sort of an instability especially when using the shoe for daily walks or activities. However, once you start to learn to land mid-sole of the foot instead of the heel, the rounded heel is not that much of a problem. But, if your a heel-striker person the rounded heel does present somewhat of an awkward imbalance or discomfort.

When ordering the SKORA Form, I recommend choosing a 1/2 size down from your original fit. The shoes fits rather larger than the expected size, expecially for 2E.

Cons:

Finished sole isnt quite as comfy as I had hoped. I was hoping to get a Merrell trail glove feel but instead I got a somewhat cushioned and somewhat lumpy feel. I could basically feel the outer sole contour.

If you dont have a high arch the tongue will probably bunch a little. If the shoe isnt quite a snug fit, the tongue will bunch a little. I feel like it could float a bit better. I have an incredibly high arch so the shoe fits perfectly on my foot however for most people this is probably not the case.

Sizing. Sizing, sizing, sizing. There really needs to be some sort of a sizing chart either here on Amazon or on Skora's site. I wear 10s in Puma, Adidas, Doc Martins and most every shoe aside from Nike where I wear a 9.5. I had to reorder these as a 9 and considering that they are a thinner, more supple leather than say my Predator soccer cleats it only means they will stretch. A 8.5 would probably be tight at first but perfect after they stretch.

Ok lets get to the Pros:

They feel amazing. They fall into the "already broken in" category for me. Slip em on and its like that old pair of shoes you never want to get rid of. With socks or without, with the sole or without (aside from the above mentioned issue), these feel simply amazing.

The laces are textured so as you tie em once and forget about it. No need to double knot.

Toe box is nice and wide. My feet are quite splayed after running in Vibrams for 5 years. Even with toe socks on theres no pinching or rubbing.

The leather quality is without a doubt some of the best leather Ive ever seen in an active shoe. Ive had soccer cleats across the spectrum and it ranks up there among the top.

Build quality is quite impressive as well. Shoes are damn near perfectly symmetrical which as an avid Club OCD member makes me happy. Took a lighter to some of the small frays that are inevitable and they all went away.

The removable insole has this awesome texture to it. Its got little bumps all over. I dont know why but I love it.

They just look snappy.

Running in them is something I thought I should put in a seperate section. As a Vibram runner who tends to put my feet down almost one in front of the other I land on the outside, flatter surface of my foot and gently roll in to launch off the balls of my feet. If you look at my Vibrams after 1500 miles in them the heels are untouched, the ball of my foot is about 75% worn and the outside of my foot is almost worn through. Running in the Skoras feels as if my foot is slightly being force to land flat across the front of the foot instead of gently rolling in. During a long run I stopped noticing or it wasnt as noticeable as I thought it would be however during some short 5-10 mile runs it was slightly noticeable. So far it hasnt caused any soreness or straining so maybe after I break the outer sole in a bit this will become a non issue.

Just the two cents of a Vibram runner who hasnt worn a traditional running shoe since 2005.

Not the most extreme minimalist type shoe but still my favorite so far. Just a pleasure to wear as an overall experience. Love the leather, definitely worth the high cost.

I did ran them for the past six months, Ironman Zurich, and few other LD triathlon. They fit like an old pair of socks. Save blisters! Bad for plasters producer no socks required.

The Forms, as most reviewers agree, are simply great. They fit great, are light, smell great and the high level of craftsmanship and high standard materials are quite evident.

As the reviewer above me wrote, these are not the most minimalist of shoes not weight-wise nor bulk-wise, but they are the most high-quality and fun pair i've ever owned. Quite a pleasure to run and walk in. They feel and look great (imho). Compared to the Merrell glove series (which i thoroughly enjoy) they are definitely bulkier, but the lack of high arch support makes them somewhat less constricting and the burrito-style tongue creates a snug constant fit.
