I have to disagree with the other reviews. This shoe is very different from the original version.-Runs too large(mainly too long) and yet made the generous toe box from V1 narrower and more stiff. If I go down a 1/2 size, will they be too narrow and small to. Really disappointed in this. (the toe box is a full 1/4 inch narrower than V1, I measured)
-There is a heel box now.
-The lining around the heel on the original was one piece from top of the shoe to the insole. The v2 is only partial and is not even sewn into the shoe. Much less comfortable and poor quality.
-V2 is markedly more stiff than V1, much less responsive, and feel for the road is diminished.
-Less crucial but still important is the V2 colors are atrocious. Just my opinion here.
Over all the shoe went from being an excellent lightweight/minimal running shoe, to just another lightweight shoe. The heel box and overall stiffness of the shoe has taken away the feel and responsiveness of the original. Biggest disappointment is the narrower toe box, this was the major selling point for me in V1. Overall MAJOR letdown.

Normally I where size 12 but purchased 11.5 and it fit great. Love the look and feel I ended up buying 2 pairs.Honest reviews on New Balance Men's M730v2 Running Shoe
Very comfortable running shoe. I do not find the minimus sneakers very comfortable (at least not yet). This sneaker is not a minimus but yet it is very light weight and feels extremely comfortable when running. Good running shoe if you want something close to minimus but not ready to go there yet.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for New Balance Men's M730v2 Running Shoe
Other than retaining the same featherlight, low and responsive ride, here're the improvements over v1No need to double knot laces
Tongue doesn't slide around
Upper material much less flimsy
Better design and nicer colours
Oh, it fits a half size larger than v1
I prefer this to the saucony kinvara 3 (hope to try the 4 soon)
