I loved this shoe. Adored it. Was perfect for me, but alas, I now have issues.
This shoe is one year old and is falling apart in two concerning places:
1) The Bend -where the shoe bends as you walk, it's breaking apart on the top side.
2) The lace eyelets -The lace eyelets are wearing down and will snap any day now.
This has been after one year of light use. I do not wear them everyday. In fact, the best way to describe it is that the sole looks fresh and rugged. I expect that my shoes get worn down due by the sole wearing out -not the material on the top.
The sole could almost pass for a new shoe. Very disappointing. I was loving this shoe so much that I expected to continue purchasing Roclites, but at this price I expect higher quality.

GTX waterproof effect good, climb mountains just to catch up with the heavy rain, all the way walk down and still be able to keep my feet dry, very surprised, and weight is light, color and shape regret is not cool.

These are basically high-top, waterproof sneakers. They're nothing like heavy-duty, rigid-soled boots, which is why I love them. They're much more comfortable, and they take no break-in like stiff, heavy-duty boots. With that said, not everyone is looking for sneaker-like boots, so these aren't for everyone, but I've gone through several different boots and brands looking for boots like these, and I finally found them. I haven't used them extensively yet, so I don't know how they'll hold up, but for several hikes I've used them on so far, I love them!

I purchased these for my 7 mile weekend hikes up Gov't Dick, which usually happens when it rains. I wanted something that offered more support for my ankles (one ankle was basically destroyed when I was a child)and was WATERPROOF. I have another pair of Inov-8 goretex shoes and love them. The only problem with the boots is that they fit weird around the top of the ankle. If they are tied snug they dig into my legs. Then again I'm not sure if they fit that way due to the construction of them, the fact that my ankle is deformed, or because I'm close to 300lbs. Regardless, I love inov-8 shoes!!!! This is my first pair of their boots and I like them other than the digging in part.
