so having shoes that make it less painful and more enjoyable is paramount to my willingness to continue to run. These shoes definitely make the concrete easier. I recently started running more on the ball of my foot as opposed to a heel to toe form, and these shoes definitely absorb more of the shock than the Nike's I was running in.

I was so excited to get these in the mail so I could start training for my Mud Run. Sad to say I was very disappointed! They are so tight they make running uncomfortable. I have a rather small foot so I am very surprised and can't imagine why they are made this way!

I was hopeful about these shoes when I ordered them, yet skeptical about buying running shoes online without trying them on first. The size-guide was accurate, and the shoes certainly "fit". The first strides were awesome! There is definitely a different feel in cushioning. My issue is that the in-sole of the shoe, right behind (to the rear, towards heel) the ball-of-foot, is very hard, non-yielding, and inflexible. As a result, after an inaugural 4 mile run, my feet felt fatigued, and actually hurt. I have average arches, and do not pronate, thus not requiring a stability shoe. Although, historically, I've always run in Asics gel 2100 series with no issues. These Cloudrunner's are definitely a fun looking shoe, but the shank was way too stiff for me to enjoy for running.
