This is a fantastic trail running shoe! Fit is true to size. Provides ideal traction on packed dirt, mud, gravel, firm sand, and rocks, even when going up or down very steep hills. Mesh upper breathes well and yet does not allow any dirt, debris, or dust to come through! Very firm sole is not appropriate for long runs on paved surfaces. While this shoe can be worn without socks, I wear Injinji Performance Lightweight No-Show Toesocks Black IN011110

I have had these for exactly one month and have run 66 miles in them. The design and materials are ideal for Good Form Running. Grant Robison illustrates Good Form in a quick, entertaining video made by the team at New Balance.

I have had no hip, knee, ankle, foot, nor blister problems with these trail running shoes! Prior to running with these, I experienced the knee pain associated with heel striking while running with conventional running shoes. An initial trial of Vibram Five Finger KSOs helped me to develop my calves to build up mileage with minimalist footwear, but did not provide the sole protection against sharp pointy rocks and shells that I frequently encounter on my trail runs.

I find that these NB WT110s provide an excellent trail running shoe that balances protection of the feet with shape and design that enhance a runner's natural foot strike.

Unfortunately I had to send back for the next size up...I like the look and construction of the running shoe...Upside was Amazon had the replacement pair here in a flash and I hadn't even got to UPS to send the small pair back Amazon is great dealing with customer concerns! Oh and my larger size pair ROCK!!!

I received my running shoes after a winter storm, and am very pleased with them! Just like the sole says one last excuse to run. I have been able to run on unplowed roads with little slippage and like how they zip hugging the foot keeping them warm and dry. I would highly recommend them for anyone living in winter climes.

Honestly, i swear that New Balance designed these shoes for my foot! They are the most comfortable shoes!! They are smooth, flexible and fit like a silky foot glove. I ran in them for the first time yesterday and it felt so natural. They have a wide toe box but are very fitted [in an extremely comfortable way]. They seem very durable as they are covered by a non traditional synthetic [rubbery-like], laser-cut outer, but are very breathable. They allow for maximum control of your foot in all the dynamics of minimal-style running. I will say that they did not grip as well as i would have hoped on slicker, moist surfaces, but that is completely manageable. Size-wise i am generally a 9.5 [i was true to size in the WT1010's] but in these, though perfectly comfortable, the New Balance store associate told me to go with the size 10's which gave my big toe just a bit more space at the tip.

I HIGHLY recommend these shoes and hopefully New Balance won't change them too much for future model upgrades.
