My first minimalist/reduced running shoes are the (black and green) Green Silence and I absolutely love them. I was very surprised that an eco-friendly shoe would have such great feel and technology in running. I run for my community college and these I am starting off with my new season in so I may ease into them slowly (low mileage at first). They are a slightly narrow fit across the top and midfoot (this is somewhat due to the abnormal lacing of the shoe, which is a huge plus for me), with a slightly wider toe box. I love both those features. The bottom is more of a foam than a hard rubber so the landings are a tad softer. The heel-drop is very small and the heel hieght is not at all large. These shoes are very light (6.9 ounces) and run well on multiple terrains and for various workouts/speeds. More info:Green Features:

If you are going minimalist, these are a great transition shoe (or even just to stick with these as their features are already fully satisfying with minilast running shoes). They are very comfortable, thus making them a great casual shoe too. As a personal recommendation, whether for casual use or not, please get the black and green color, as it being modest and color-cordinated with clothing. I love the shoes and I recommend them to every runner out there.
