I ordered a half size smaller after reading previous reviews and from already owning a pair of Salomon Hiking Shoes I knew they ran larger than normal size. This model seems to run wider also. I've only had them 1 week and laces are tied tight. They also tie up higher than my previous pair. I neither like or dislike that feature because you can adjust it. I really like the material and fit of the sole's of these shoes. I walk 2 to 4 miles most days and these last the longest and feel the best over time. I was told when marathon training(walking) to wear running shoes. They wear out faster and don't support my feet like these shoes. My favorites from many brands and styles I've tried.

Love Salomon shoes but they run about a 1/2 size up. I ordered from another company in my regular size. 8.5 & they were huge. These were a different style but I went with the 8 & they fit perfect! Salomon typically has a roomy toe-box and a good solid foundation. I am outside (goofing off) daily, and Salomon shoes have always served me well.

I received these faster than promised. I quickly put them on to "break them in". There really no need to do this. They are comfortable and appear well made. The run a little big but this is not a problem. I purchased them to climb Mt Fuji. I will update this after the climb.

After waiting for almost 3 weeks for these shoes to be shipped from the UK, they were way too wide. I ordered my usual size in this shoe, but something has changed. this has been an increasing problem for me lately. I don't know whether it's due to manufacturing inconsistancies, a widespread widening of shoe lasts across the industry, or an unknown factor, but I cannot find shoes that fit anymore. The most irritating part this time is that I have to pay return shipping to the UK.

I wore these shoes for two weeks straight and after the first day of breaking them in they were quite comfortable. They did tend to be a little slippery though on smooth stone and wet conditions. They got better as I roughed them up on gravel but still I was careful in slick conditions.
